José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. The Ballerina is the most elaborate halo design we make — and the name is accurate. The ring is built in concentric layers that fan outward from the center stone like a tutu: a Moissanite center in a four-prong mount, surrounded by an inner ring of baguette-cut Swiss CZ set in a sunburst formation, then an outer ring of round Swiss CZ prong-set around the baguette layer, then marquise-cut shoulder stones flanking both sides, and a three-row band running down both shoulders — round pavé CZ on the top and bottom rows, princess-cut CZ channel-set in the center row. Every stone in every layer is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop.

What that structure produces in person: the ring looks significantly larger than the center stone alone. The baguette sunburst catches light differently than the round stones — it creates a radiating flash pattern from the center outward. The outer round halo and the shoulder stones extend that into a full field of sparkle across the top of the finger. This is not a subtle ring. It’s a statement design, and the light behavior makes that clear.
The Center Stone — 8.2mm Moissanite, 2CT Equivalent
The center stone is GRA-certified Moissanite — Color D, Clarity FL. Colorless and internally flawless. 8.2mm round brilliant cut, 58 facets, 2ct equivalent weight. Each stone ships with its own GRA certificate carrying a unique report ID traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. What it does have: more fire than diamond. More rainbow dispersion in directional light. On a design this dense with stone — baguettes, rounds, marquise, and three rows of band stones all working together around an 8.2mm center — that fire compounds. The center stone throws color, and every surrounding layer picks it up and scatters it. In direct sunlight, the Ballerina does not sit still.
The Halo — Baguette Sunburst, Round Outer Ring, Marquise Shoulders
The halo on this ring is a two-layer structure, which is what separates it from a standard round halo design.
The inner layer is baguette-cut Swiss CZ, set in a sunburst pattern radiating outward from the center stone. Baguettes are rectangular step-cut stones — they catch light in long, mirror-like flashes rather than the scattered sparkle of a round brilliant. Set in a fan formation around the Moissanite, they create a radiating crown effect that you see clearly from any angle above the ring.

The outer layer is round Swiss CZ, prong-set in a continuous circle around the baguette layer. These round stones add brightness and volume to the halo. They’re larger than the baguettes and catch more diffuse light — where the baguettes flash in concentrated rays, the outer rounds sparkle continuously.
At the shoulders, marquise-cut Swiss CZ stones flank both sides of the halo — the widest stones in the design, bridging the halo structure to the band. The band itself runs three rows down both shoulders: the top and bottom rows are round pavé Swiss CZ, and the center row is princess-cut Swiss CZ channel-set between them. Three distinct rows, three stone cuts, all hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. Every stone is individually positioned. That’s what bench time looks like on this design: it’s significant.
The Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A design this stone-heavy requires a band gauged to carry the load. The halo structure, the shoulder stones, and the pavé band together put real weight and stress on the shank. José Lux uses a properly gauged blank for this design — the band holds its shape because the metal is correct for what this setting requires.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans doing this plating work have been finishing silver for years. On a design with this many stone positions and this much surface variation — the baguette channel walls, the prong bases, the marquise bezels, the three-row band shoulders — hand plating produces more even coverage than machine dipping at every detail point.
Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. The conservative baseline for this finish is three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, many José Lux customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.
Certification
Every ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The report confirms Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 8.2mm, 2ct equivalent weight — and carries a unique report number traceable to your specific stone. This is the same certificate format used in professional gemological documentation. Physical certificate, not a card.

Warranty and Repairs
Every stone position on a José Lux Ballerina — the baguette sunburst, the outer round halo, the marquise shoulder stones, and all three rows of the band — is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. That’s by design, not luck.
If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
CZ and Swiss CZ accent stones: Re-setting or replacing any halo, shoulder, or pavé band stone is always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume directly from our suppliers. We absorb the cost entirely. This covers the baguettes, the outer round halo, the marquise shoulder stones, and all pavé band stones.
Moissanite center stone: If the center stone needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. That’s the lowest possible charge. Re-setting labor is always free.
Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set every stone on the Ballerina and hand-plate every band have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. The baguette sunburst, the outer round halo, the marquise shoulders, the pavé band — every stone position is set by hand. Every band is plated by hand. This is José Lux’s own workshop, not a third-party factory.
The Ballerina takes more bench time than any other halo design we make. The baguette placement has to be precise — the fan formation doesn’t work if the angles aren’t right. The outer halo has to sit flush with the baguette layer. The transitions have to align. That’s not a selling point — it’s just what making this ring correctly requires. We’ve done it enough times to know what right looks like.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured
Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
What makes this a ‘Ballerina’ ring?
The name comes from the way the halo fans out from the center stone — the baguette-cut CZ in the inner ring are arranged in a sunburst formation that radiates outward like the layered skirt of a ballerina’s tutu. It’s a specific design structure: the baguettes are set at angles fanning away from the center, not flat around it. That’s what gives the ring its distinctive crown look from above. Combined with the outer round halo and the marquise shoulder stones, the full design spreads significantly wider than the center stone alone.
What are all the accent stones made of?
All accent stones are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not Moissanite. The center stone is the GRA-certified Moissanite, 8.2mm, 2ct equivalent. The rest of the design — the inner baguette sunburst, the outer round halo, the marquise shoulder stones, and the pavé band — are all Swiss CZ, individually hand-set. They’re well-matched in color and brightness to the Moissanite center, but they are a different material. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you’re buying.
What does the baguette sunburst look like in person?
Baguettes are rectangular step-cut stones. They catch light in long, directional flashes rather than the scattered brilliance of round stones. Set in a fan formation around the center Moissanite — angled outward like rays — they create a crown effect that’s clearly visible from above and from the side. In direct light, the baguettes flash in concentrated beams. The outer round halo scatters light more continuously. The two layers work differently and that contrast is part of what makes the Ballerina design distinctive.
How does the ring look on the finger?
Wide. The two-layer halo, the marquise shoulder stones, and the three-row band give this ring significant spread and depth across the top of the finger. The 8.2mm Moissanite reads large as a center stone, and the surrounding structure makes the whole piece appear even larger. In any directional light — indoor, outdoor, sunlight — this ring produces strong flash from multiple stone types simultaneously. The rhodium plated white gold finish is bright white and mirror-polished across the entire surface. This is a statement ring. It reads that way immediately on the finger.
How long does the plating last?
The rhodium plated white gold finish is hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop — not machine-dipped. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. In practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and we’ve recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. Whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
What does the warranty cover?
Every stone position on the Ballerina — baguette inner halo, round outer halo, marquise shoulders, pavé band — is hand-set by our artisans. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens: all Swiss CZ stones are re-set for free, across every part of the design. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely. Moissanite center stone replacement is charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. Re-plating is always free.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux is honest about that rather than promising a window we can’t control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Our artisans specialize in silver. The Ballerina is the most stone-intensive halo design we make — the baguette sunburst alone requires precise individual placement of every stone in the fan formation. Add the outer round halo, the marquise shoulders, and the pavé band, and this is a significant amount of hand-setting bench time. This is José Lux’s own workshop. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the setting work is consistent.
