The Center Stone

The center stone is a 6.5mm round brilliant Moissanite, GRA certified Color D, Clarity FL. D means colorless — no yellow, no warmth, just white. FL means internally flawless under 10× magnification. Every stone comes with its own GRA certificate and a unique ID number, so what you receive is traceable and verified.

Moissanite isn’t a diamond. It’s lab-created silicon carbide, and it has more fire than diamond — you’ll see rainbow flashes in natural light that most diamonds don’t produce at this price point.

The accent stones running down both shoulders are Swiss CZ (cubic zirconia). They’re set in a pavé style — small stones sitting flush along the band, creating a line of sparkle that leads the eye toward the center stone. CZ is not Moissanite. The center stone is Moissanite, GRA certified. The shoulder stones are CZ. Both are genuine stones — they just have different roles in this ring.

About the Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver — that’s 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what José Lux uses across every piece.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans at the José Lux workshop have been plating silver for years, and it shows in the result — the finish is more even, more durable at the details, and holds better at the prong edges, the pavé channel, and the inner band.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. Based on José Lux’s records, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine.

Certification Included with Every Order

Each ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The certificate confirms the stone’s grade (Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 6.5mm / 1.0ct equivalent) and carries a unique report number. This is physical paperwork, not a digital printout — the same documentation used in gemological research, not a store-branded card.

Warranty and Repairs

The prong settings on José Lux rings are hand-adjusted by our artisans in Vietnam. Each stone is individually fitted and secured by hand — not pressed in by machine. That’s why stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare at José Lux.

If a stone does become loose or fall out under normal everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux will handle it:

CZ and Swiss ECZ accent stones: Re-setting or replacing these stones is always free. José Lux imports CZ and Swiss ECZ in volume directly from our suppliers, so we absorb this cost entirely.

Moissanite center stone: If the center stone is lost or needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail price. That’s the lowest possible charge. The labor to re-set it? Always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No conditions, no time limit.

What’s not covered: stones lost due to a hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or prongs consistent with a fall. That’s accidental damage, not a manufacturing defect. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what is observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
