Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. It has more fire than diamond — stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. The Post and Screw-Back Closure

The post and screw-back system are fully 925 sterling silver. The images show every component: the threaded post rising from the disc, the butterfly-style screw-back nut with visible threading, and the full extended assembly. What you’re looking at is solid silver throughout — no plated brass, no alloy post with a silver coating.

The screw-back nut threads onto the post and locks down. It does not rely on friction. Once tightened, it does not loosen during movement, exercise, or sleep. For a stud worn daily, that threading is what keeps the earring in place.

The closure is fully removable. Unscrew the nut completely whenever you need to clean the post or the disc. The threading is machined to last. Full disassembly, full clean, reassemble — the system handles that without degrading. This is the closure we use on every stud we make.

The Metal and Plating

The disc, prongs, and post are 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity.
