José Lux builds this women’s 10K gold rabbit necklace in 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — in Rose Gold and White Gold. It’s 18 inches long, weighs 1.86 grams, and closes with a handmade lobster clasp. A Rose Gold rabbit sits inside a crescent moon set with Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones. A small flower charm with one CZ at its center hangs beside it. There’s no Moissanite on this necklace. The rabbit is the design, and the CZ is the accent.

The pendant is a round White Gold disc with a faceted face that radiates from the center. A Rose Gold crescent wraps the left and bottom edge. It carries a row of CZ stones and ends in a short run of small beads. The rabbit is Rose Gold too. It sits with its ears down and its eyes closed. The flower charm hangs from a small ring at the top right, so it moves when you do. A White Gold cable chain carries the disc. The tones do a job here: Rose Gold for the figure, White Gold for the ground behind it. That’s a more detailed build than our Moissanite necklaces, which carry a GRA-certified center stone. Here every stone is an accent, and we’d rather say that up front than let you assume otherwise.

The Gold and Karat

The necklace is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. It’s 10K gold, which is 41.7% pure gold, alloyed with more harder metals than 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — so it resists everyday scratching a little better. The trade-off is that it carries less pure gold than 14K gold. This listing sells one karat.

Both colors come from the alloy formula. Rose Gold gets its color from copper mixed into the gold, not from a plated layer on top. White Gold uses a different ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium. During alloying, we set each ratio by color. The color is in the metal. It isn’t a coating. The White Gold alloy uses no nickel.

Length and Clasp

Every José Lux gold necklace is 18 inches — the standard length for women. It sits at the collarbone, so you can wear it alone or layer a shorter chain above it. The lobster clasp is handmade at the José Lux workshop. It closes firmly during daily wear and opens easily when you clean the necklace or put it away.

The CZ Accents

The stones along the crescent and the stone in the flower charm are CZ, set by hand one at a time. CZ is the accent stone on this necklace, and it isn’t a diamond. This necklace has no Moissanite stone, so it ships without a GRA report. We’d rather say that plainly than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

Because the stones run along an arc, the sparkle follows the curve of the moon. The faceted White Gold behind the rabbit adds a second kind of light, in broken flashes instead of points. Turn your wrist toward a window and you’ll see both.

How It’s Made

Every necklace goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. First, alloying. We melt pure 24K gold with alloy metals in the exact ratio for 10K gold, one ratio for Rose Gold and another for White Gold. Second, design and mold making. The pendant starts as a 3D CAD design and a wax model, then goes through lost-wax casting. Third, fabrication and finishing. We cut, file, and solder, set each CZ stone by hand, make the lobster clasp by hand, and polish the smooth surfaces to a mirror finish. All of it happens at the bench. Fourth, quality control. We test the karat with an XRF machine, check nickel content, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

The rabbit is small, and its ears, back, and feet all need clean edges. The CZ row has to sit even along the whole arc. We’ve alloyed gold and set stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years.

Care

Take the necklace off to clean it and to store it. Wipe it with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. Open the lobster clasp, lay the chain flat in its jewelry box, and close the clasp so the chain doesn’t tangle. Keep the necklace away from hard knocks. A hard impact is the most common cause of a loose stone.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold necklace carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. CZ resetting is always free. We hand-set every stone and check every setting before the necklace ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare.
