Handmade Women’s 14K Gold Freshwater Pearl Necklace — Heart Pendant, CZ Accent, 18 Inches

José Lux builds this women’s 14K gold freshwater pearl necklace in 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — in Yellow Gold. It’s 18 inches long, weighs 1.54 grams, and closes with a handmade lobster clasp. A white freshwater cultured pearl hangs from a heart pendant set with a single Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stone. There’s no Moissanite on this necklace. The pearl is the main stone, and the CZ is the accent.

The heart is a Yellow Gold bezel with a faceted White Gold base. The facets radiate out from the CZ, so one small stone throws light across the whole heart. Below it, a small gold cup and post carry the pearl, which hangs free on the drop. A cable chain carries both. The pearl gives a soft, even light, and the CZ gives one small point of sparkle. That’s a quieter build than our Moissanite necklaces, which carry a GRA-certified center stone. Here the stones are a pearl and an accent, and we’d rather say that up front than let you assume otherwise.

The Gold and Karat

The necklace is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. It’s 14K gold, which is 58.3% pure gold, alloyed with harder metals so the heart, post, and chain hold their shape through daily wear. This listing sells one karat. 14K carries more pure gold than 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — so it reads deeper and warmer in Yellow Gold. The trade-off is that it’s slightly softer, and it will pick up fine surface marks over time.

Both golds on this necklace get their color from the alloy formula. During alloying, we mix copper, silver, zinc, or palladium into pure gold in a set ratio, and Yellow Gold and White Gold each use a different ratio. The color is in the metal. It isn’t a coating, and there’s no plated layer on top. The White Gold alloy uses no nickel.

Length and Clasp

Every José Lux gold necklace is 18 inches — the standard length for women. It sits at the collarbone, so you can wear it alone or layer a shorter chain above it. The Pearl and the CZ

The main stone is a freshwater cultured pearl. Freshwater pearls grow in freshwater mussels on pearl farms. Each one has its own size, surface, and luster, so your pearl may differ slightly from the photos. We’d rather tell you that than promise an exact match.

The single stone in the heart is CZ, set by hand. CZ is the accent stone on this necklace, and it isn’t a diamond. This necklace has no Moissanite stone, so it ships without a GRA report. We’d rather say that plainly than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

How It’s Made

Every necklace goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. First, alloying. We melt pure 24K gold with alloy metals in the exact ratio for 14K gold, one ratio for Yellow Gold and another for White Gold. Second, design and mold making. The heart pendant starts as a 3D CAD design and a wax model, then goes through lost-wax casting. Third, fabrication and finishing. We cut, file, and solder, set the CZ by hand, mount the pearl on its post, make the lobster clasp by hand, and polish the gold surfaces to a mirror finish. All of it happens at the bench. Fourth, quality control. We test the karat with an XRF machine, check nickel content, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

A pearl hangs from one small post, so the post has to sit true under the pearl. We’ve alloyed gold and set stones at the same workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City for years.

Care

Take the necklace off to clean it and to store it. Put it on after perfume, lotion, and hairspray, because those products can dull a pearl’s surface. Pearls are softer than gold and CZ, so wipe the pearl with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. Open the lobster clasp, lay the chain flat in its jewelry box, and close the clasp so the chain doesn’t tangle. Keep the necklace away from hard knocks. A hard impact is the most common cause of a loose stone.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold necklace carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. CZ resetting is always free. We hand-set every stone and check every setting before the necklace ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare.

What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact or a drop is reviewed case by case. It isn’t treated as a manufacturing defect. The warranty policy names CZ resetting. If anything happens to the pearl, contact José Lux and the workshop reviews your case individually.
