Handmade Women’s 14K Gold Open Flower Necklace — Swiss CZ Accent, 18 Inches

José Lux builds this women’s 14K gold open flower necklace in 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — in Yellow Gold. It’s 18 inches long, weighs 1.87 grams, and closes with a handmade lobster clasp. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones are set in a small ring that links the flower pendant to the chain. There’s no center stone on this necklace. The open flower is the design, and the gold does the work.

The pendant is a wavy, open-center flower outline with two finishes. The outer edge carries a fine texture that breaks up light as you move. The inner band is smooth and polished, so it reflects light in one clean sweep. The CZ-set ring loops through the top of the flower, which puts the sparkle exactly where pendant meets chain. A flat-link cable chain carries it. That’s a quieter build than our Moissanite necklaces, which carry a GRA-certified center stone. Here every stone is an accent, and we’d rather say that up front than let you assume otherwise.

The Gold and Karat

The necklace is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. It’s 14K gold, which is 58.3% pure gold, alloyed with harder metals so the pendant and chain hold their shape through daily wear. This listing sells one karat. 14K carries more pure gold than 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — so it reads deeper and warmer in Yellow Gold. The trade-off is that it’s slightly softer, and it will pick up fine surface marks over time.

Yellow Gold gets its color from the alloy formula. During alloying, we mix copper, silver, zinc, or palladium into pure gold in a set ratio, and each gold color uses a different ratio. The color is in the metal. It isn’t a coating, and there’s no plated layer on top.

Length and Clasp

Every José Lux gold necklace is 18 inches — the standard length for women. It sits at the collarbone, so you can wear it alone or layer a shorter chain above it. The CZ Accents

The stones in the link ring are CZ, set by hand one at a time. CZ is the accent stone on this necklace, never the center, and it isn’t a diamond. This necklace has no Moissanite stone, so it ships without a GRA report. We’d rather say that plainly than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

Because the CZ sits in one ring at the top of the flower, the sparkle stays small and focused. Turn your head and that small point of light moves with you.

How It’s Made

Every necklace goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. First, alloying. We melt pure 24K gold with alloy metals in the exact ratio for 14K gold. Second, design and mold making. The pendant starts as a 3D CAD design and a wax model, then goes through lost-wax casting. Third, fabrication and finishing. We cut, file, and solder, set each CZ stone by hand, make the lobster clasp by hand, and polish the smooth surfaces to a mirror finish. All of it happens at the bench. Fourth, quality control. We test the karat with an XRF machine, check nickel content, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

An open pendant has no center stone to hide behind, so the outline has to be right. Every curve of the flower gets finished by hand. We’ve alloyed gold and set stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years.

Care

Take the necklace off to clean it and to store it. Wipe it with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. Open the lobster clasp, lay the chain flat in its jewelry box, and close the clasp so the chain doesn’t tangle. Keep the necklace away from hard knocks. A hard impact is the most common cause of a loose stone.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold necklace carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. CZ resetting is always free. We hand-set every stone and check every setting before the necklace ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare.
