José Lux builds this women’s lab grown diamond solitaire necklace in 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — in White Gold. It’s 18 inches long, weighs 1.14 grams, and closes with a handmade lobster clasp. One round lab grown diamond sits in a bezel on a small White Gold disc. There are no accent stones and no Moissanite on this necklace. The single stone is the design, and the gold frames it.

The pendant is a small round disc with two steps. A narrow rim holds the stone, and a wider flat ring sits around it. Two short ears at the top carry the chain, so the stone hangs level against your skin. The bezel is a full gold rim that wraps the whole edge of the stone. It covers more of the stone’s edge than prongs do, which gives it a clean, low profile. A cable chain with flat, oval links runs on both sides. That’s a quieter build than our Moissanite necklaces, which carry a GRA-certified center stone. Here there’s one stone, and we’d rather say exactly what it is than let you assume.
The Gold and Karat
The necklace is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. It’s 14K gold, which is 58.3% pure gold, alloyed with harder metals so the pendant and chain hold their shape through daily wear. This listing sells one karat. 14K carries more pure gold than 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold. The trade-off is that it’s slightly softer than 10K, and it will pick up fine surface marks over time.

White Gold gets its color from the alloy formula. During alloying, we mix copper, silver, zinc, or palladium into pure gold in a set ratio, and each gold color uses a different ratio. The color is in the metal. It isn’t a coating, and there’s no plated layer on top. The White Gold alloy uses no nickel.
Length and Clasp
Every José Lux gold necklace is 18 inches — the standard length for women. It sits at the collarbone, so you can wear it alone or layer a shorter chain above it. Customers who buy the 18-inch length from José Lux consistently tell us it fits. 18 inches is the one length on this necklace, so if you want a longer or shorter drop, know that before you order.
The lobster clasp is handmade at the José Lux workshop. It closes firmly during daily wear and opens easily when you clean the necklace or put it away.
The Lab Grown Diamond
The center and only stone is a lab grown diamond. It’s diamond, a crystal of carbon, grown in a controlled lab instead of mined from the ground. It measures 10 on the Mohs scale. We call it lab grown every time, because that’s what it is. It isn’t a natural diamond, and it isn’t Moissanite or CZ.
A solitaire has nowhere to hide. One stone sits in one bezel, so the stone’s light and the gold’s polish do all the work. Turn your wrist toward a window and you’ll see the stone throw small, bright flashes against the White Gold.
How It’s Made
Every necklace goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. First, alloying. We melt pure 24K gold with alloy metals in the exact ratio for 14K gold, in the White Gold formula. Second, design and mold making. The pendant starts as a 3D CAD design and a wax model, then goes through lost-wax casting. Third, fabrication and finishing. We cut, file, and solder, set the stone in its bezel by hand, make the lobster clasp by hand, and polish the smooth surfaces to a mirror finish. All of it happens at the bench. Fourth, quality control. We test the karat with an XRF machine, check nickel content, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.
A bezel has to close evenly around the whole stone. A gap on one side shows. We’ve alloyed gold and set stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years.
Care
Take the necklace off to clean it and to store it. Wipe it with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. Open the lobster clasp, lay the chain flat in its jewelry box, and close the clasp so the chain doesn’t tangle. Keep the necklace away from hard knocks. A hard impact is the most common cause of a loose stone.
Warranty and Repairs
Every José Lux gold necklace carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. We hand-set the stone and check the bezel before the necklace ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare.
What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact or a drop is reviewed case by case. It isn’t treated as a manufacturing defect. If it happens, contact José Lux and the workshop reviews your case individually.

FAQ
Is this necklace solid gold, or is it plated?
Solid gold. It’s 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold. José Lux doesn’t sell gold-filled, gold vermeil, or gold-plated pieces on this line. The White Gold color comes from what’s alloyed into the gold, not a surface coating.
Is the White Gold nickel-free?
Yes. José Lux’s White Gold alloy uses copper, silver, zinc, or palladium. It uses no nickel. We check nickel content in quality control before the necklace ships.
Is the stone a real diamond?
It’s a lab grown diamond. That means it’s diamond, grown in a lab instead of mined. It isn’t a natural diamond, and we don’t sell it as one.
Is there a Moissanite or CZ stone on this necklace?
No. The only stone is the one lab grown diamond. Our Moissanite necklaces carry a GRA-certified Moissanite center stone. This one doesn’t.
What’s the difference between 14K gold and 10K gold?
14K gold is 58.3% pure gold. 10K gold is 41.7% pure gold. 14K carries more pure gold. 10K carries more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better. This necklace is 14K only.
What length is the necklace, and where does it sit?
18 inches — the standard length for women. It sits at the collarbone. You can wear it alone or layer a shorter chain above it. 18 inches is the one length on this necklace.
Is the clasp secure, and can you take the necklace off easily?
The lobster clasp is handmade at the José Lux workshop. It closes firmly during daily wear and opens easily when you clean the necklace or put it away.
What does the warranty cover?
A lifetime warranty with free repairs. Stone loss from a hard impact or a drop isn’t treated as a manufacturing defect, and José Lux reviews those cases individually.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States, 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value, including cases where the address was entered incorrectly at checkout.
Where is this necklace made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. Alloying, casting, stone-setting, and polishing all happen at the same bench.
Our Workshop
José Lux works out of Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. The same team that alloys the gold sets the stone, makes the lobster clasp, and polishes the bezel. We sell factory-direct, so the price you pay is the workshop’s price, not a wholesale markup. A single stone in a small bezel looks simple, and it’s the kind of piece where small mistakes show. We’ve built enough of them to know where it goes wrong, and where it holds.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs
1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?
Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.
2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?
The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.
Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.
3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?
Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.
4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?
Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.
5. How long does it take to receive my order?
Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.
Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.
Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.
We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
