José Lux builds the Moissanite Baguette Halo Ring in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold), in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. Gold weight is 6.47 g in 10K gold and 7.28 g in 14K gold. The center stone is Moissanite, GRA Certified, set in a raised octagon-shaped collet at the top of the ring. Two rows of pavé-set Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones frame it in an elongated octagon halo. From there, each shoulder carries a column of baguette-cut Swiss CZ stones down the center, flanked on both sides by rows of round pavé. Only the center stone is Moissanite; the halo, the baguettes, and the flanking pavé are all Swiss CZ, hand-set piece by piece.

Baguette stones don't forgive the way round stones do. Each one is a rectangular step cut, and to sit edge to edge without a gap showing, the channel that holds them has to be cut to the exact width of the stones going in — not close, exact. José Lux hand-sets the center stone first, then the two-row halo, then channel-sets the baguette column down each shoulder before the flanking pavé rows go in last. The two-row halo has to stay evenly spaced around the octagon shape from corner to corner, and the baguette columns on both shoulders have to match each other stone for stone. We've been alloying gold and setting Moissanite and Swiss CZ at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years, and channel-set baguettes are where that precision gets tested most.

The Moissanite Center and Swiss CZ Baguette Halo — Center to Edge

The center stone is GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, colorless and internally flawless, Mohs 9.25. It ships with its own GRA report, carrying a unique laser-inscribed ID traceable to that specific stone. Moissanite isn't a diamond, and José Lux won't tell you it is. It's lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature — more fire than diamond, which means more rainbow flash under direct light.

Every other stone on this ring — the halo, the baguette columns, and the flanking pavé — is Swiss CZ, not Moissanite. José Lux hand-sets each round stone and channel-sets each baguette so the whole ring reads as one continuous piece rather than separate sections stitched together. Swiss CZ doesn't carry a GRA report — that certification is specific to the Moissanite center. The center stone is the one piece of this ring with paperwork attached to it; everything around it is built to frame it.

Baguette stones catch light differently than round ones — broader, flatter flashes instead of scattered fire — so the shoulders read with a different kind of sparkle than the halo. Turn your hand and the baguette columns flash in long lines while the round pavé and center stone catch light in smaller bursts.

The Gold and Karat Options

The band is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. José Lux offers it in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold). 10K carries less pure gold and more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better — a real factor on a ring built for daily wear. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads deeper and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Neither is the "better" metal — they're two different tradeoffs, and José Lux sells both instead of steering you toward one. The karat you pick only changes the band; the Moissanite center and Swiss CZ halo and baguettes stay the same on both options.

Every karat comes in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. The color isn't a coating — it comes from the alloy formula, the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold during alloying. José Lux's White Gold is nickel-free; the white tone comes from silver, zinc, or palladium in the mix, not nickel, which matters if you're sensitive to it.

Every ring goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 10K or 14K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and color ordered. The band is cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting, then hand-set — the Moissanite center first, then the Swiss CZ halo, then the channel-set baguettes and flanking pavé — and polished to finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

Certification

The center stone ships with a full GRA gemological report — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, and a unique report number traceable to that stone. It's a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn't. The Swiss CZ halo, baguettes, and pavé are not individually certified — Swiss CZ is priced and set as an accent stone, not a graded one.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold ring carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. Every prong, every channel, and every pavé stone on this ring is checked by hand before it ships, which is why a stone coming loose from normal daily wear is rare.

If a stone does come loose under everyday use — no drops, no impact — José Lux resets it for free. Swiss CZ resetting is always free, including the baguette stones, since José Lux imports these stones in bulk. Moissanite center resetting is always free as well. What's not covered: stone loss from a hard impact, a drop, or a strike against a hard surface. That's not treated as a manufacturing defect. José Lux reviews every case individually before deciding next steps, and if a repair falls outside the warranty, we'll still fix it at cost, with a quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Ships free via USPS to the United States. Delivery takes 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value — including cases where an incorrect address was provided at checkout. If something goes wrong in transit, you're covered in full.

Your ring travels inside a shock-absorbing layer, packed in its own jewelry box, then inside a protective outer box. Every order includes a cleaning cloth and a José Lux warranty card. The same team that set your center stone and baguette shoulders is the one that packs and ships your order.

Our Workshop

José Lux works out of Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. The same team that alloys the gold sets the Moissanite center, hand-sets the Swiss CZ halo and pavé, and channel-sets the baguette columns — nothing about this ring passes through a third-party factory. Baguette stones are less forgiving than round ones: the channel has to match the stone's exact width, and both shoulders have to mirror each other down to the same number of stones in the same alignment. We've done it enough times to know where it goes wrong, and where it holds.

FAQ

Is the center stone Moissanite, or are the halo and baguette stones Moissanite too?

Only the center stone is Moissanite — GRA Certified, Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, with its own laser-inscribed ID. The two-row halo, the baguette columns, and the flanking pavé are all Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia). That's true across every karat and color option — the center stays Moissanite and the rest of the ring stays Swiss CZ no matter which one you choose.

What's the difference between 10K and 14K gold?

10K gold is 41.7% pure gold; 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold. 10K carries more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads richer and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Both are solid gold — José Lux never sells gold-filled or gold-plated pieces. The karat you pick only changes the band; the Moissanite center and Swiss CZ stones stay the same on both.

Is this ring solid gold, or is it plated?

Solid gold, in both karats. José Lux doesn't sell gold-filled, gold vermeil, or gold-plated pieces on this line. The color — Yellow, White, or Rose — comes from what's alloyed into the gold, not a surface coating.

How is the Baguette Halo set?

The center stone sits in a raised octagon-shaped collet, framed by two rows of pavé-set Swiss CZ stones. Down each shoulder, a column of baguette-cut Swiss CZ stones is channel-set into the center, flanked on both sides by rows of round pavé. The baguette channels are cut to the exact width of the stones so they sit edge to edge without gaps.

What does the warranty cover?

A lifetime warranty with free repairs. Swiss CZ resetting is always free, including the baguette stones, and so is Moissanite center-stone resetting, if a stone comes loose from normal daily wear. Damage from a drop or a hard impact isn't covered as a manufacturing defect; José Lux reviews those cases individually and quotes any repair before starting it.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs

1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?

Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.

2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?

The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.

Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.

3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?

Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.

4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?

Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

5. How long does it take to receive my order?

Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.

Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.

Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.

We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
