José Lux makes most of its earrings with Moissanite. The Flower Cluster Stud is a Swiss CZ design — seven round brilliant CZ stones arranged in a flower formation, one stone at the center and six surrounding it in a tight circular cluster. All seven stones sit flush and close together so the cluster reads as a single large stone face on the ear. That's the visual logic of a cluster design: the combined surface area of seven well-matched stones reads larger and brighter than a single stone of the same overall diameter.

Getting a cluster to look right requires every stone to sit at the same height as its neighbors. If one sits even slightly higher or lower than the rest, the cluster face reads uneven and the illusion breaks. Getting the spacing and height consistent across all seven stones, on both earrings, is the bench work that makes this earring what it is. José Lux does that work by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Both earrings in the pair are checked before they ship.

The post and screw-back are 925 sterling silver, built at our Vietnam workshop. The screw-back threads fully onto the post and locks. It detaches completely for cleaning. One pair — two earrings.
The Swiss CZ Flower Cluster — Seven Stones, One Face
All seven stones are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, lab-created, sourced from Switzerland. Round brilliant cut. Not Moissanite. Not diamond. José Lux states this plainly because we want you to know exactly what you're buying.

Swiss CZ has clean white brilliance. Consistent light return, no rainbow fire, no color dispersion. In a cluster design where seven stones sit tight together, that clean white behavior is what you want — each stone reads the same color and brightness as the others, so the cluster face looks uniform. If the stones were Moissanite, the fire from each stone would compete with its neighbors and the cluster would look chaotic rather than cohesive. Swiss CZ is the right material for a cluster.
The seven stones are sized so the center and the six surrounding stones fit together with minimal silver showing between them. The center stone sits slightly elevated at the heart of the cluster. In direct light, all seven stones flash simultaneously. The combined face area is significantly larger than a single stone of the same overall earring diameter would be. That's why cluster studs read with more visual weight than their physical size suggests.
Every stone is individually hand-set and held securely in place at our Vietnam workshop. Each stone has to sit level with its neighbors. That work is done by hand, checked before the earring ships.
The Post and Screw-Back — Sterling Silver
The post, screw-back nut, and backplate disc are all 925 sterling silver. Solid silver throughout. No brass. No base metal at any contact point with the ear.
The screw-back threads onto the post and locks mechanically. Wind the nut clockwise until it seats against the back of the lobe. That lock holds throughout daily movement, exercise, and sleep. A push-back closure uses spring friction — friction that weakens with every removal. A screw-back doesn't degrade the same way. It locks until you actively unscrew it.

The full screw-back assembly — nut and backplate disc — detaches completely from the post by unscrewing. That matters for cleaning a cluster earring. Seven stones in a tight ring collect skin oils and residue in the gaps between them. With the back removed, you can work a soft brush through every gap from the front without the closure blocking access. Warm water, mild soap, soft brush through all seven stones, rinse clean. The thread re-engages the same way every time. That routine keeps the stones bright for years.
The solid silver post is the right material for daily ear contact. Plated brass corrodes when the plating wears through — the underlying brass oxidizes against skin moisture and causes irritation over time. José Lux uses solid 925 sterling silver for the post on every stud earring. That's the standard, not an option.
The Metal and Plating
The cluster mount, the disc base, the post, and the screw-back are all 925 sterling silver. 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A seven-stone cluster mount carries more complex load than a single solitaire mount. That requires properly gauged silver from the start. Thin, underweight silver flexes and adjacent stones shift position over time.
Every earring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. Our artisans have been hand-plating silver for years. Hand application is the only way to get even coverage on a cluster design — the recessed gaps between stones, the inside faces of the stone mounts, the screw-back nut. Machine dipping fills flat surfaces and misses the recesses. Hand application reaches all of it.
Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.
Warranty and Repairs
Every stone on a José Lux stud earring is hand-set and secured before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. That's the result of correct bench work, not chance.
If a Swiss CZ stone comes loose under everyday use — no drops, no impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
- Swiss CZ stone re-setting: Always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely. No exceptions.
- Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
- Post or screw-back replacement: If a silver component fails under normal use, José Lux replaces it free.
What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — an earring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible stone seat deformation from a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what's observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we'll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can't control.
Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you're covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earrings in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your earrings ship in two layers: the inner box holds the earrings securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit. Inside every order: a silver polishing cloth and a José Lux workshop warranty card.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set the CZ stones, ensure the cluster sits level and even on both earrings, fabricate the screw-back closures from sterling silver, and hand-plate the rhodium finish have been doing this work for years.
A seven-stone cluster is where setting consistency shows. Every stone has to sit at the same height. The cluster face has to read as one continuous, even surface — not seven separately visible bumps. Getting that right on both earrings consistently is the bench work we do every day. We've set enough cluster earrings to know what right looks like. These meet that standard before they leave our workshop.

Your Earrings Arrive Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your earrings ship in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds each earring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the earrings themselves are wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before they go into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your earrings in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
Why does a cluster design look larger than a single stone of the same size?
A cluster earring uses multiple stones to fill the same diameter that a single stone would occupy. Seven round brilliant stones packed tight in a flower pattern cover more combined surface area than one round brilliant at the same overall diameter. The eye reads the full cluster face, not the individual stone sizes. On the ear, this earring appears larger and brighter than a single stone stud of equivalent physical footprint. It's not an illusion — seven stones catching light simultaneously read as more brilliance than one stone of the same total size.
Are the stones Moissanite or CZ?
Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, lab-created, sourced from Switzerland. Not Moissanite. Not diamond. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you're buying. Swiss CZ is the right choice for a cluster design. Each of the seven stones has to read the same color and brightness as the other six. CZ is consistent — the optical character is controlled and uniform across all stones. Moissanite has more fire and rainbow dispersion, which is beautiful in a solitaire but creates visual chaos in a seven-stone cluster where each stone would fire at a different color and angle. Swiss CZ produces clean, consistent white brilliance across all seven stones simultaneously. That's why it's the right material for this design.
How secure are the stones in a cluster setting?
Every stone is hand-set and individually secured at our Vietnam workshop before the earring ships. Each stone has to sit at the same height as its neighbors — if one sits high or low, the cluster reads uneven. José Lux checks every earring for even stone height and secure setting before it leaves the workshop. Stone loss from normal daily wear on a correctly set cluster is very rare. If it happens with no evidence of impact, José Lux re-sets it for free.
How does this earring look on the ear?
Bright and full. The seven-stone cluster reads as a single, high-coverage face — the combined stone surface sparkles continuously in direct light rather than from one point. The flower cluster outline is round, and the surface reads as dense stone coverage. The earring sits close to the lobe — proportional, not oversized. In direct light, the seven CZ stones flash simultaneously. In ambient light, the cluster holds a steady, even sparkle across the full face. The rhodium plated white gold finish is mirror-bright on the visible silver between the stones. This earring is compact enough for daily wear and has enough stone coverage to hold attention at close range.
How do I clean a cluster earring properly?
Remove the screw-back fully by unscrewing it from the post. The full cluster face — all seven stones and the gaps between them — is now accessible. Use a soft toothbrush or jewelry brush with warm water and mild soap. Work the bristles through the gaps between stones. Residue accumulates in those gaps during daily wear and dulls the stone faces over time. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water. Let dry completely before reattaching the screw-back. That routine takes under two minutes and keeps all seven stones bright for years.
How long does the plating last?
Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate after five years. The longest recorded at our workshop before a first re-plate: eight years of daily wear. Skin chemistry, how often you wear them, and exposure to chemicals — perfume, chlorine, cleaning products — all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at José Lux. No time limit. Ship them back whenever the finish needs refreshing.
What does the warranty cover?
If any Swiss CZ stone comes loose under normal daily wear — no drops, no impacts — José Lux re-sets it for free. All CZ re-setting is free, no exceptions. Rhodium re-plating is always free, no time limit. Post or screw-back replacement is free if a silver component fails under normal use. What's not covered: stones lost from a drop or hard impact. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
Where are these earrings made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set all seven CZ stones per earring, check even height across the full cluster, fabricate the screw-back closures from silver, and hand-plate every earring have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. A seven-stone cluster requires more bench time than a solitaire. Both earrings have to match. This is José Lux's own workshop, not a third-party factory.
