José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. This is the green version of our round halo stud. The center stone is Dark Green Moissanite — 6mm, 0.8 carat, GRA-certified. The surrounding halo is Swiss CZ in a circular white frame. The contrast is intentional: a colored center inside a white halo reads as a distinct design choice, not an accent. The green Moissanite is the dominant visual element. The CZ halo frames it without competing.

This is sold as one earring. Most men wear a single stud. The price is for one piece. If you want two, order two.
The Center Stone — GRA Dark Green Moissanite, 6mm, 0.8ct
The center stone is Dark Green Moissanite — 6mm round brilliant, 0.8 carat equivalent weight, GRA-certified. The color grade on the GRA report is Dark Green. Clarity FL — internally flawless. Cut: Excellent. 58 facets.

Dark Green Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide with a color introduced during the growth process. The color is not a coating, not a treatment applied after cutting, and does not fade or change over time. What you see in the earring is the material itself. The GRA certificate confirms both the stone type (Moissanite) and the color grade (Dark Green). The report number on the certificate links to your specific stone.
The optical behavior of green Moissanite is the same as colorless Moissanite: more fire than diamond, stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. In direct sun, the green stone throws colored directional flashes — green plus rainbow fire simultaneously. In diffused indoor light it reads as a deep, saturated green with occasional directional flash. That combination is specific to this material. No other earring at this price point delivers it.
Moissanite does not degrade optically over time. The color does not fade. The stone on this earring looks the same in ten years as on day one. That is a property of silicon carbide, not a warranty promise.
GRA Certification
The center stone ships with a GRA Moissanite Grading Report — one physical document per stone. The report confirms: stone type (Moissanite), shape (Round Brilliant), measurements (6mm), carat weight (0.8ct), color grade (Dark Green), clarity grade (FL — Internally Flawless), cut grade (Excellent). Each report carries a unique report number. The label on the sealed stone pouch shows the same number, linking the physical stone to its grading document.

The GRA report, GRA certificate card, and sealed stone pouch all ship with the earring. This is documentation for the specific stone in your earring, not a generic brand insert. The thermal tester image in our product photos shows the stone reading at diamond-range thermal conductivity — Moissanite conducts heat comparably to diamond. We include that image because buyers ask. The stone is Moissanite. The GRA report confirms that.
The Round Halo — Swiss CZ, White, Single Row
The halo is one continuous row of white Swiss CZ round brilliant stones set in micro-pavé around the full circumference of the disc. The frame is circular. On this earring, the white CZ halo does specific work: it creates a high-contrast border between the green center and the silver disc. That contrast makes the green stone read as more saturated and more defined than it would inside a plain bezel or against bare metal.

Every Swiss CZ stone in the halo is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. Each stone is seated in a micro-pavé cut directly into the silver frame, held by beaded prongs between adjacent stones. The full circumference is checked under magnification before the earring ships.
The overall disc diameter with halo is 8mm. That measurement is shown in the product images. At 8mm on an adult male earlobe, the earring reads as a full, confident disc — not small, not theatrical.
The Six-Prong Center Mount
The green Moissanite sits in a six-prong raised mount at the center of the halo disc. The stone is elevated above the disc plane so the pavilion has clearance and the table catches light at multiple angles. Six prongs on a 0.8ct round stone gives more holding contact than four prongs while keeping the mount profile open for light entry from the sides.
Every prong is hand-adjusted and push-tested at our Vietnam workshop before the earring ships. Each prong tip is checked for level seat against the stone’s girdle under magnification. A stone that rocks or sits off-level in its mount is a setting failure. We check for it on every piece.
If the center stone comes loose under normal daily wear — no drops, no hard impacts — José Lux re-sets it free of charge. Labor always free. Replacement stone at our Hong Kong import cost only, never retail.
The Post and Butterfly Push-Back Closure
The post and butterfly closure are fully 925 sterling silver. Solid silver at every contact point — no plated brass post, no alloy stem. The metal touching your ear is the same material as the earring disc.

The butterfly closure is hand-formed and tensioned at our Vietnam workshop. The two wings are individually shaped so they grip the post at the correct resistance: firm enough to hold through movement, exercise, and sleep, releasing cleanly when you pinch both wings and pull straight back off the post. The threading handles repeated daily removal and reattachment without degrading.
The closure is fully removable. Take it off completely whenever you need to clean the post or the rear face of the disc. Unclip, clean, reattach. The mechanism is built for daily use over years. This is the closure we use on our stud earrings because it combines holding security with a system that does not fail under ordinary daily wear.
The Metal and Plating
The disc, halo frame, prongs, and post are 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. Every earring receives a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. Hand application gives even coverage at the detail points: around each CZ halo stone, at the six prong tips, at the raised mount-to-disc joint.
Rhodium is harder than silver and acts as a barrier between the metal and the air. It keeps the surface bright white and resists tarnish. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline.
Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
Warranty and Repairs
Every prong is hand-adjusted. Every CZ halo stone is individually seated and checked. Every butterfly closure is hand-formed and tested. Stone loss from normal daily stud wear is extremely rare when the setting work is done correctly.
If something comes loose under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
- Green Moissanite center stone: Re-setting labor always free. Replacement stone at Hong Kong import cost only — never retail.
- Swiss CZ halo stones: Re-setting always free. No charge, no conditions.
- Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
What’s not covered: stones lost or prongs bent from hard physical impact — visible deformation consistent with a drop or strike. José Lux inspects every case individually and tells you honestly what we see. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can’t control.
Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you’re covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earring in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your earring ships in two layers: the inner box holds the piece securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit. The GRA report and certificate ship inside the inner box with the earring.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. Setting a colored center stone inside a white halo requires the same precision as setting a colorless stone — and one additional check: the prong tips have to sit correctly against a stone that reads visually different at every angle under the bench light. Our artisans have been doing this specific work for years. Every prong adjusted by hand. Every halo stone seated individually. Every butterfly closure formed and tensioned before the earring ships.
A colored Moissanite halo stud is a specific choice. The buyer knows what they want. We build it correctly — prong tension set for a 0.8ct raised mount, CZ spacing consistent around the full circle, butterfly closure that grips correctly and releases cleanly. We’ve done enough of these to know where cheaper versions fail: prong tips that dig into the stone, uneven CZ spacing at the base of the halo, a butterfly closure that loses tension after three months. Ours don’t, because the work is done right from the start.
Your Earring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box, USPS Insured

Your earring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the piece securely in position. The outer box takes the transit damage so the inner box doesn't have to. Before it goes into the box, the earring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer — no movement, no contact, nothing shifts from our workshop to your door.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — we cover it in full. If an incorrect address was entered at checkout, José Lux refunds you completely. You either receive your earring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That is the José Lux standard.
FAQ
This is listed as one earring. Can I order two?
Yes. Add two to your cart. We list it as one piece because that’s how most men wear it — one ear. We don’t force a pair purchase when you want a single.
What makes the green Moissanite green? Is it a coating?
No. The color is introduced during the lab-growth process — it is part of the crystal structure, not a surface coating or post-cut treatment. You cannot scratch or wash the color off. It does not change over time. The GRA Moissanite Grading Report confirms the color grade as Dark Green and the stone type as Moissanite. That is the full picture.
How does the green stone look in different lighting?
The stone behaves differently depending on the light source. In direct sunlight or strong artificial light, the Moissanite fire dominates — you see green with strong rainbow dispersion, colored flashes shifting as the angle changes. In diffused indoor light, the stone reads as a deep, saturated green with occasional directional flash. Under warm light it can appear slightly teal. The color is not flat. It shifts with the light, which is a property of the stone’s fire combined with its color grade. No two lighting environments read exactly the same.
What is Moissanite? Is it a diamond?
No. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide — a different material with its own optical properties. It has more fire than diamond: stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. It is not a diamond. We won’t tell you it is. The center stone in this earring is GRA-certified Dark Green Moissanite — Color Dark Green, Clarity FL, Cut Excellent. That’s what it is.
Why does the thermal tester read it at diamond range?
A standard diamond tester measures thermal conductivity. Moissanite conducts heat at a rate comparable to diamond, so most testers read it at the DIA range. We include that image in the product photos because buyers ask about it. The stone is Moissanite. The GRA report that ships with the earring confirms that. The tester result is a material property, not a claim about what the stone is.
How does the green center look against the white CZ halo?
The white Swiss CZ halo creates a high-contrast border around the green center. That contrast makes the green read as more saturated and more defined than it would against bare silver or inside a plain bezel. The total disc diameter is 8mm — the halo adds visual mass around the center stone. On a male earlobe, the 8mm disc reads as a full, confident stud.
How does the butterfly push-back closure work?
The post is threaded. The butterfly backing has two spring wings that grip the post. Push the backing onto the post — the wings grip the thread and hold. To remove, pinch both wings simultaneously and pull straight back. Firm grip through movement, exercise, and sleep. Releases cleanly with deliberate pinch pressure. The wings are hand-formed at our workshop. The mechanism handles daily removal and reattachment without wearing out or losing grip tension.
Can I clean it properly?
Yes. Remove the butterfly backing completely. Clean the post, disc rear face, and backing separately with a soft brush and mild soapy water. Work the brush around the six prong tips and between the CZ halo stones. Rinse thoroughly. Dry fully before reattaching. A polishing cloth ships with every order.
How long does the rhodium plating last?
Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. Re-plating is always free at our workshop — no time limit, no conditions. Whenever it’s needed, we handle it.
What does the warranty cover?
Green Moissanite center re-setting: labor always free, replacement stone at Hong Kong import cost only. Swiss CZ halo re-setting: always free, no conditions. Rhodium re-plating: always free, no time limit. What’s not covered: visible deformation from a drop or hard impact. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote clearly before any work is done.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where is this earring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The bench artisans who adjust your six prongs on a colored stone, set your white CZ halo, form your butterfly closure, and plate your post have been doing this work for years. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every halo stone is individually seated. Every closure is hand-formed and tested. This is José Lux’s own workshop.
