How This 14K Gold Heart Charm Bracelet Is Made

Every José Lux bracelet goes through four stages before it ships: alloying, design and mold making, fabrication and finishing, and quality control. We alloy 24K gold down to 14K by hand, in the exact ratio for Yellow Gold. The heart charm and the seven beads start as 3D CAD designs, become wax models, and are cast with lost-wax casting, while the box chain is formed and cut to length.

Fabrication happens at the bench. We cut fine facets into the beads and the heart, set the seven beads along the chain line, hang the charm from the center bead, and attach the extension chain and clasp. Then we polish each surface in stages to a mirror finish.

Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine and check for nickel. Then we stamp the legal karat hallmark, as FTC requirements call for.

The Heart Charm — A Heart Inside a Heart

The charm is two hearts in one piece: an outer heart outline, with a smaller heart sitting inside it and showing through the open center. Fine facets cover both hearts, so the two layers read as separate surfaces when light hits them. The charm hangs from the center bead on a small loop and swings freely as your wrist moves.

Seven round beads sit above it, graduated in size, with the largest in the middle. Each bead carries the same fine facets as the heart. Together they form a short band of shine across the front of your wrist.

The Gold — 14K, Solid, Yellow

The bracelet is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. 14K gold carries 58.3% pure gold, and the rest is alloy metal that gives a fine chain the strength to hold its shape through daily wear. 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — resists scratches a little better, while 14K reads deeper and warmer in Yellow Gold.

Yellow Gold gets its color from the alloy formula, and we mix copper and silver into the gold during alloying. Nothing is plated on top, so the color runs all the way through the metal.

Sparkle Without Stones — Faceted Gold

This bracelet carries no stones. There’s no Moissanite and no Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) anywhere on the chain. Each facet on the beads and the heart works as a small flat mirror, reflecting light at its own angle.

With no stones to set, there’s no setting to loosen. Gold is softer than a gem, though, so fine facets can pick up light scratches over years of daily wear. A soft cloth keeps them bright, and every order includes one.

Hallmark and Certification

GRA reports cover Moissanite only, and this bracelet has no Moissanite, so it ships without one. It does carry the legal karat hallmark, which we stamp after XRF testing.

Fit, Clasp, and Everyday Wear

The bracelet adjusts from 6.1 to 7.9 in (155–200 mm), and that range includes the extension chain, a row of small open rings at the end of the bracelet. One adjustable size fits any woman’s wrist. Clip the spring ring clasp into the ring that feels right, and change rings whenever you want a closer or looser fit.

The spring ring clasp is made by hand and built to hold firm. Pull back the small tab with a fingernail and the gate opens, then let go and it snaps shut. You can take the bracelet off when you’re not wearing it, then put it back on without a struggle, and you set the length yourself, so there’s no jeweler visit.

The bracelet carries 2.87 g of gold, so it sits light on the wrist. The heart hangs below the chain and moves freely, which means it can catch on knit sleeves and loose hair. Take it off for the gym and for heavy lifting, and the fine box chain will hold up to daily wear.
