Most rings José Lux sets have one focal point. This one has over forty. The Flower Halo is the most complex setting we do — a 6.5mm round brilliant Moissanite center stone, eight prong-set CZ petals radiating outward in a full flower formation, and a triple-row pavé band running down both shoulders. Every stone in that halo is individually set by hand. Every stone on the band is individually set by hand. When the light hits it, the whole thing moves together.

The Center Stone

The center stone is GRA certified Color D, Clarity FL — colorless and internally flawless. 6.5mm, round brilliant cut, 58 facets, 1.0ct equivalent. Each stone comes with its own GRA certificate and a unique ID number. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide, not a diamond — it has more fire than diamond, which means more rainbow flashes in direct light. On a design this dense with stones, that fire multiplies. It reads significantly larger on the finger than a solitaire of the same center stone size.

The halo petals and the pavé band are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, not Moissanite. The CZ stones are bright and well-matched in color to the center, but they are a different material. Their job here is structural to the design: they build the flower shape and extend the sparkle down the band. The center Moissanite is the certified stone. The CZ is the setting architecture.

About the Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for the structural rigidity this design needs. A triple pavé band carries a lot of stone weight. The gauge has to be right or the band flexes under wear and stones work loose. José Lux has seen cheaper versions of this setting fail at the shoulder joints within a year. Ours don’t, because the silver is properly gauged and the setting is done by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not pressed out by machine.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans at the José Lux workshop have been plating silver for years, and it shows in the result — the finish is more even, more durable at the details, and holds better at the prong edges, the halo channel, and the pavé shoulders. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. Based on José Lux’s records, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop.

Care is simple: warm water, a drop of mild soap, soft cloth, 30 seconds. Dry it immediately. With this many stones set into the band, avoid ultrasonic cleaners — the vibration can loosen pavé settings over time.

Warranty and Repairs

The prong settings on José Lux rings are hand-adjusted by our artisans in Vietnam. Each stone — every halo petal, every pavé stone on the band, the center Moissanite — is individually fitted and secured by hand. Not pressed in by machine. That’s why stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare at José Lux.

If a stone does become loose or fall out under normal everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux will handle it:

CZ and Swiss ECZ accent stones: Re-setting or replacing these stones is always free. José Lux imports CZ and Swiss ECZ in volume directly from our suppliers, so we absorb this cost entirely. This covers all halo petal stones and all pavé band stones.

Moissanite center stone: If the center stone is lost or needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail price. That’s the lowest possible charge. The labor to re-set it? Always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No conditions, no time limit.

What’s not covered: stones lost due to a hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or prongs consistent with a fall. That’s accidental damage, not a manufacturing defect. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what is observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.

What are the halo and band stones made of?

Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not Moissanite. The center stone is the GRA-certified Moissanite. The eight halo petal stones and the triple pavé shoulder stones are CZ. They’re well-matched in color and brightness, but they are a different material with different hardness. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you’re buying.

Is the triple pavé band durable?

Yes, if it’s made correctly. The band is properly gauged 925 sterling silver — thick enough to hold the stone load without flexing. The stones are individually hand-set, not pressure-cast. José Lux has seen cheap versions of this setting fail at the shoulders. Ours hold because the silver gauge and the setting work are done right.

What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?

Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish.
