I’ve set a lot of rings at our Vietnam workshop. Here’s exactly what this one is.
A halo setting like this is one of the more demanding ones to finish cleanly. The center stone — a round brilliant-cut CZ — sits raised above the face on four prongs. Around it, a tight cushion-square frame of round CZ stones, each one set individually by hand, each prong checked for tension before the ring moves to the next stage. Then the shoulders: three rows running down from the halo, baguette-cut CZ flanked by round pavé on each side. That alternating pattern is what gives this ring its depth. Different stones at different heights, catching light at different angles. Rotate it slightly and the whole face shifts.

That layered structure is what separates this from a flat band. It has dimension. On the hand, the eye travels upward toward the center rather than across the knuckle. Substantial without being heavy — the interior is open-lattice cast silver, which keeps weight down while the face stays full. This is what it looks like when a halo setting is done right.

The CZ in this ring comes from the same source as every stone we use at José Lux: certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop bench. Standard CZ has no paper trail. Ours does. Tighter cut, better light return. The halo amplifies it — more surface area catching overhead light at once.

About the Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what we use across every piece at José Lux.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans who do this work have been plating silver for longer than I have, and the result shows — the finish is more even, holds better at prong edges and the halo channel, and sits cleanly along the inner band. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. That said, in my experience tracking customer orders over the years, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty, so the ring keeps going as long as you want it to.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine. A polishing cloth is included with every order.
Handcraft — What That Means Here
Hand-finished in our Vietnam workshop. Artisans with 20–30 years of bench experience. A setting this dense — halo plus three shoulder rows — takes time to get right. There’s no shortcut on prong tension when you have this many stones. Every prong is tensioned individually. Every edge polished by hand. A person checks the ring before it boxes.
Warranty and Repairs
Lifetime warranty. Here’s what that means in practice: if the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out, I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered under the lifetime warranty — always. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, deliberate damage, or alterations done elsewhere. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days from dispatch. Customs delays can add time on European orders — I’ll note that honestly. Tracking is included and sent to you the day your order ships.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. Every stone in this ring was hand-set there. Every band hand-plated, hand-finished — no machine output. The artisans who made yours specialize in silver. That's all they do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. The only situation we can't guarantee is an address entered incorrectly at checkout. Even then, we refund you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ Section
What is a halo ring?
The halo is the ring of smaller CZ stones set around the center stone. It’s a setting style, not a different type of ring. What it does is frame the center stone and make both the center and the surrounding stones catch light at the same time. On this ring, the halo is round-cut CZ in a cushion-square frame, the center is a round brilliant, and baguette-cut CZ runs down the shoulders in three layered rows. Everything is hand-set.
Is this ring made from real silver?
Yes. The ring is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. That’s the industry standard for quality silver jewelry. Every ring is hand-finished and stamped at our Vietnam workshop.
What kind of stone is this? Is it a diamond?
It’s CZ — cubic zirconia. Not a diamond, not Moissanite. What makes it different from standard CZ is the source: certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop. Precision-cut for better light return. You’ll see it the first time overhead light hits the stone.
What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?
Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish. Applied over 925 sterling silver, a rhodium plated white gold finish creates a bright, durable surface that’s noticeably longer-lasting than standard white gold plating. We apply it by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not by machine, which gives more even coverage at the details.
In terms of durability: the finish typically holds around three years of regular daily wear. But in practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have gone eight years before they noticed any fading. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it lasts. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty — so whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes. 925 sterling silver reacts with air, moisture, and skin chemistry over time — that’s chemistry, not a defect. The rhodium plated white gold finish slows this down significantly. When the plating eventually wears, cleaning is straightforward: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth, dry it immediately.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
If the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out, I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered — always. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, accidental damage, or alterations done by someone else. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote before we do anything.
How does shipping work?
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. You’ll receive tracking the day your order ships. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — I’ll be upfront about that. If there’s an issue with your shipment, contact us directly and we sort it out.
How do I find my ring size?
We make every ring to your size — custom fit. Use our sizing guide and 60-second measurement video to get your measurement right before ordering. If you’re between sizes or unsure, message us first — it’s easier to get it right upfront than to adjust later.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at our workshop in Vietnam, by artisans who specialize in silver. Hand-set stones, rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand, hand-finished band. I’ve worked alongside these people for years. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
