I’ve set a lot of round stones in a lot of different configurations. Here’s exactly what this one is.
What’s different here is the pedestal. The center stone doesn’t sit flush with the shoulder — it sits inside a raised square frame that lifts it off the ring’s surface. Four prongs, set individually, hold it at height. The frame itself has a small row of round CZ along its top edge. So before you even get to the shoulder, you’ve already got the center stone, the prong work, and the frame stones. Three layers before the shoulder starts. That layering is what gives this ring its vertical dimension without going over the top.

The shoulders run wide on both sides of the center frame, and they’re organized in a grid. Three horizontal rows of round pavé CZ — top, middle, bottom — span the full width of the face. Two vertical silver rails divide each row into panels, like a window grid. The rails are plain polished silver. They’re not set with stones; they’re structural, and they do something visually that a continuous pavé field wouldn’t: they give the eye a place to land between the stone sections. The pavé fills the panels, the rails frame them. You get density of stone without visual noise.

The band on this ring is wider than anything else in this collection. Plain, high-polish, no stones below the shoulder line. The width gives it a solid weight on the finger — it reads substantial without being heavy. From the side, the profile is clean: the raised center pedestal at the top, then the shoulder grid stepping out to the sides, then the wide polished band tapering back. No open lattice, no interior cutouts. Solid silver underneath.

The CZ throughout this ring comes from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss source to our Vietnam workshop. Not standard CZ. On a round brilliant at this size, cut quality matters — you see it immediately when light hits the stone. The Swiss-certified grade we use is precision-cut for consistent light return across every facet. Standard CZ at this scale looks inconsistent. Ours doesn’t.

About the Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what we use across every piece at José Lux. The extra-wide plain band is solid silver interior — no open lattice, no interior cutouts.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans who do this work have been plating silver for longer than I have, and the result shows — the finish is more even, holds better at the prong edges and the pavé grid panels, and sits cleanly along the inner band. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. That said, in my experience tracking customer orders over the years, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty, so the ring keeps going as long as you want it to.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. The wide plain band on this ring shows skin oils and fingerprints more visibly than a fully-set shoulder — worth cleaning weekly if you wear it daily. Dry it right away. A polishing cloth is included with every order.
Handcraft — What That Means Here
Hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop by artisans with 20–30 years of bench experience. The horizontal pavé grid requires each row to sit at the same height before the next goes in. The vertical rails need to be even on both sides or the symmetry reads off. The prong work on the raised pedestal is checked for tension individually. Every ring is inspected before it ships.
Warranty and Repairs
Lifetime warranty. Here’s what that means in practice: if the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out — center stone, pedestal frame edge, or pavé grid rows — I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered under the lifetime warranty — always. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, deliberate damage, or alterations done elsewhere. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days from dispatch. Customs delays can add time on European orders — I’ll note that honestly. Tracking is included and sent to you the day your order ships.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. Every stone in this ring was hand-set there. Every band hand-plated, hand-finished — no machine output. The artisans who made yours specialize in silver. That's all they do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. The only situation we can't guarantee is an address entered incorrectly at checkout. Even then, we refund you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ Section
What is the raised frame around the center stone?
It’s a square pedestal — a raised silver platform that lifts the center stone above the shoulder surface. The frame itself has a small row of round CZ along its top edge, so the stone sits at the center of a lit frame rather than flush with the shoulder. I use this construction when I want the center stone to read first — clearly, immediately — before anything else on the ring. The pedestal is what separates this round solitaire from just another round stone in a pavé setting.
What is the grid pattern on the shoulders?
Three horizontal rows of round pavé CZ — top, middle, bottom — spanning the full width of the shoulder on each side of the center frame. Two vertical rails of plain polished silver divide each row into panels. The rails are structural — they’re not set with stones. What they do is give the eye a clear visual break between the stone sections, so the pavé reads as organized panels rather than a continuous scattered field. You get coverage without clutter. That’s the grid.
Why is the band so wide on this ring?
It’s a deliberate proportion decision. The raised center pedestal and wide pavé shoulders need a band that matches their mass — a narrow band would look structurally wrong beneath all that. The wide plain band also gives the ring its weight and presence on the finger without requiring more stone coverage. It sits solid. If you’re used to narrower bands, this one will feel substantial.
What kind of stones are these? Are they diamonds?
CZ — cubic zirconia, premium grade. Not diamonds, not Moissanite. The stones come from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss source to our Vietnam workshop. On a round brilliant of this size, cut quality is immediately visible. Standard CZ at scale looks inconsistent. The Swiss-certified grade throws even light across every facet. That matters on a solitaire because the center stone is the whole point.
What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?
Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish. Applied over 925 sterling silver, a rhodium plated white gold finish creates a bright, durable surface that’s noticeably longer-lasting than standard white gold plating. We apply it by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not by machine, which gives more even coverage — including across the pavé grid panels and the wide inner band.
In terms of durability: the finish typically holds around three years of regular daily wear. But in practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have gone eight years before they noticed any fading. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it lasts. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty — so whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes. 925 sterling silver reacts with air, moisture, and skin chemistry over time — that’s chemistry, not a defect. The rhodium plated white gold finish slows this down significantly. The wide plain band on this ring shows skin oils and fingerprints more visibly than a fully-set shoulder would — worth a clean once a week if you wear it daily. Warm water, mild soap, soft cloth, 30 seconds. Dry it immediately.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
Loose or fallen stones across any setting on the ring — center stone, pedestal frame edge, pavé grid rows — broken prongs, and structural damage from normal wear. No charge. Email a photo and we’ll send a prepaid return label the same day. About 10 business days turnaround. Not covered: lost rings, accidental damage from drops or impacts, sports use.
How does shipping work?
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. You’ll receive tracking the day your order ships. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — I’ll be upfront about that. If there’s an issue with your shipment, contact us directly and we sort it out.
How do I find my ring size?
We make every ring to your size — custom fit. Use our sizing guide and 60-second measurement video to get your measurement right before ordering. If you’re between sizes or unsure, message us first — it’s easier to get it right upfront than to adjust later.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at our workshop in Vietnam, by artisans who specialize in silver. Hand-set stones, rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand, hand-finished band. I’ve worked alongside these people for years. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
