I’ve set a lot of statement rings at our Vietnam workshop. Here’s exactly what this one is.
The center stone earns the word ‘statement’. It’s the largest single CZ we set across this collection — an oversized round brilliant raised high on four individual prongs, sitting above everything else on the ring. You see it first. You see it from across a table. The prong height is deliberate: the stone needs air around it to catch light from every direction. On the hand it sits like a focal point, not a detail.

Directly beside the center stone, one on each side, sit two princess-cut CZ stones in raised frames — square-cut, bright-faced, at nearly the same height as the center. Together those three form the elevated top of the ring. Below them, still in the upper shoulder, two vertical baguette CZ stones — one on each side — complete the upper section. Large stones, set upright, visible from the front. They transition the elevated center down into the band and add real width to the ring on the hand.

Below those vertical baguettes, the shoulders cover the rest of the band face in tiered horizontal baguette CZ — stacked rows running down toward the shank on both sides. Between each baguette tier, round pavé CZ traces a chevron outline pointing back toward the center. From the side the profile reads like a descending ridgeline: elevated center, princess-cut flanks, vertical baguette pair, then the horizontal baguette tiers stepping back to the plain polished shank. From straight on, it’s wall-to-wall stone from the prongs to the band.

The CZ throughout this ring — center stone, princess-cut frames, vertical baguettes, and shoulder tiers — all comes from the same source: certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop bench. Not standard CZ. Tighter cut, better light return. On a center stone this size, cut quality and clarity show immediately. Standard CZ at this scale looks flat. The Swiss-certified grade we use doesn’t.
About the Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver throughout — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what we use across every piece at José Lux. The interior is open honeycomb cast — reduces weight without affecting the face. You can see it clearly in the underside shots.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans who do this work have been plating silver for longer than I have, and the result shows — the finish is more even, holds better at the prong edges, the baguette channels, and across every tiered shoulder row. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. That said, in my experience tracking customer orders over the years, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty, so the ring keeps going as long as you want it to.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine. A polishing cloth is included with every order.
Handcraft — What That Means Here
Hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop by artisans with 20–30 years of bench experience. The upper section alone — round brilliant center, two princess-cut frames, two vertical baguettes — requires precise alignment across five stones before the shoulder work even starts. Any misalignment up there reads immediately. The horizontal baguette tiers below are set row by row, each checked before the next goes in. There’s no shortcut in a design this layered. Every prong tensioned by hand. Every ring checked before it ships.
Warranty and Repairs
Lifetime warranty. Here’s what that means in practice: if the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out — anywhere in this ring, center solitaire, princess-cut frames, or tiered shoulder settings — I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered under the lifetime warranty — always. This ring has a lot of set stones across multiple setting styles; if any comes loose, that’s exactly what the warranty is for. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, deliberate damage, or alterations done elsewhere. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days from dispatch. Customs delays can add time on European orders — I’ll note that honestly. Tracking is included and sent to you the day your order ships.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. Every stone in this ring was hand-set there. Every band hand-plated, hand-finished — no machine output. The artisans who made yours specialize in silver. That's all they do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. The only situation we can't guarantee is an address entered incorrectly at checkout. Even then, we refund you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ Section
What makes this a ‘statement ring’?
The center stone. It’s the largest single CZ we set in this collection — an oversized round brilliant raised high on four prongs. It sits above the rest of the ring and throws light in every direction. On the hand, you don’t miss it. That’s what makes something a statement piece: it declares itself before anything else does. Everything else on this ring — the princess-cut flanks, the tiered baguette shoulders — is built around that center stone and in service of it.
What are the tall stones on either side of the center?
Those are princess-cut CZ stones, one on each side of the center stone. Square-cut, set in their own raised frames. They’re not accent stones — they have real presence. Together with the round brilliant center they form a raised three-stone elevated plane across the top of the ring. That width and height is what gives this ring its presence on the hand.
What are the stones on the shoulders?
Below the vertical baguette pair, the shoulders are tiered rows of horizontal baguette CZ — stacked down toward the shank on both sides. Round pavé CZ traces a chevron outline between each baguette tier. From the side it reads like a descending ridgeline: elevated center, princess cuts, vertical baguettes, then the horizontal tiers stepping back. Wall-to-wall stone, but the layered structure gives it order.
What kind of stones are these? Are they diamonds?
They’re CZ — cubic zirconia, premium grade. Not diamonds, not Moissanite. The CZ we use comes from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop. On a center stone this size, cut quality shows directly. Standard CZ at this scale looks flat. The Swiss-certified grade we use doesn’t.
What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?
Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish. Applied over 925 sterling silver, a rhodium plated white gold finish creates a bright, durable surface that’s noticeably longer-lasting than standard white gold plating. We apply it by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not by machine, which gives more even coverage across all the baguette channels and tiered shoulder rows.
In terms of durability: the finish typically holds around three years of regular daily wear. But in practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have gone eight years before they noticed any fading. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it lasts. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty — so whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes. 925 sterling silver reacts with air, moisture, and skin chemistry over time — that’s chemistry, not a defect. The rhodium plated white gold finish slows this down significantly. When the plating eventually wears, cleaning is straightforward: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth, dry it immediately.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
Loose or fallen stones in any setting — center stone, princess-cut frames, or tiered shoulder stones — broken prongs, and structural damage from normal wear. All covered at no charge. This ring has a lot of set stones across multiple setting styles; if any comes loose, that’s exactly what the warranty is for. Email a photo and we’ll send a prepaid return label the same day. About 10 business days turnaround. Not covered: lost rings, accidental damage from drops or impacts, sports damage.
How does shipping work?
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. You’ll receive tracking the day your order ships. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — I’ll be upfront about that. If there’s an issue with your shipment, contact us directly and we sort it out.
How do I find my ring size?
We make every ring to your size — custom fit. Use our sizing guide and 60-second measurement video to get your measurement right before ordering. If you’re between sizes or unsure, message us first — it’s easier to get it right upfront than to adjust later.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at our workshop in Vietnam, by artisans who specialize in silver. Hand-set stones, rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand, hand-finished band. I’ve worked alongside these people for years. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
