José Lux has set a lot of statement rings at our Vietnam workshop. Here’s exactly what this one is.

The center stone earns the word ‘statement’. It’s the largest single CZ we set across this collection — an oversized round brilliant raised high on four individual prongs, sitting above everything else on the ring. You see it first. You see it from across a table. The prong height is deliberate: the stone needs air around it to catch light from every direction. On the hand it sits like a focal point, not a detail.

Below those vertical baguettes, the shoulders cover the rest of the band face in tiered horizontal baguette CZ — stacked rows running down toward the shank on both sides. Between each baguette tier, round pavé CZ traces a chevron outline pointing back toward the center. From the side the profile reads like a descending ridgeline: elevated center, princess-cut flanks, vertical baguette pair, then the horizontal baguette tiers stepping back to the plain polished shank. From straight on, it’s wall-to-wall stone from the prongs to the band.

The CZ throughout this ring — center stone, princess-cut frames, vertical baguettes, and shoulder tiers — all comes from the same source: certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop bench. Not standard CZ. Tighter cut, better light return. On a center stone this size, cut quality and clarity show immediately. Standard CZ at this scale looks flat. The Swiss-certified grade we use doesn’t.

About the Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver throughout — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what we use across every piece at José Lux. The interior is open honeycomb cast — reduces weight without affecting the face. You can see it clearly in the underside shots.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans at the José Lux workshop have been plating silver for decades, and the result shows — the finish is more even, holds better at the prong edges, the baguette channels, and across every tiered shoulder row. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. Based on José Lux’s records tracking customer orders over the years, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine. A polishing cloth is included with every order.

Handcraft — What That Means Here

Hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop by artisans with 20–30 years of bench experience. The upper section alone — round brilliant center, two princess-cut frames, two vertical baguettes — requires precise alignment across five stones before the shoulder work even starts. Any misalignment up there reads immediately. The horizontal baguette tiers below are set row by row, each checked before the next goes in. There’s no shortcut in a design this layered. Every prong tensioned by hand. Every ring checked before it ships.

Warranty and Repairs

The prong settings on José Lux rings are hand-tensioned individually by our Vietnam workshop artisans — each claw adjusted by hand before the ring leaves the bench. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare as a result.

If a stone does become loose or fall out under normal everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux will handle it:

Swiss CZ accent stones: Re-setting or replacing these stones is always free. José Lux imports Swiss CZ in volume directly from our suppliers, so we absorb this cost entirely. This covers the center solitaire, the princess-cut frames, the vertical baguette pair, and all tiered shoulder stones.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No conditions, no time limit.

What’s not covered: stones lost due to a hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or prongs consistent with a fall. That’s accidental damage, not a manufacturing defect. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what is observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.

Shipping

Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days from dispatch. Customs delays can add time on European orders — José Lux notes that honestly rather than promise a window that can’t be guaranteed. Tracking is included and sent to you the day your order ships.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. Every stone in this ring was hand-set there. Every band hand-plated, hand-finished — no machine output. The artisans who made yours specialize in silver. That's all they do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. The only situation we can't guarantee is an address entered incorrectly at checkout. Even then, we refund you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.

FAQ Section

What makes this a ‘statement ring’?

The center stone. It’s the largest single CZ we set in this collection — an oversized round brilliant raised high on four prongs. It sits above the rest of the ring and throws light in every direction. On the hand, you don’t miss it. That’s what makes something a statement piece: it declares itself before anything else does. Everything else on this ring — the princess-cut flanks, the tiered baguette shoulders — is built around that center stone and in service of it.

What are the tall stones on either side of the center?

Those are princess-cut CZ stones, one on each side of the center stone. Square-cut, set in their own raised frames. They’re not accent stones — they have real presence. Together with the round brilliant center they form a raised three-stone elevated plane across the top of the ring. That width and height is what gives this ring its presence on the hand.

What are the stones on the shoulders?

Below the vertical baguette pair, the shoulders are tiered rows of horizontal baguette CZ — stacked down toward the shank on both sides. Round pavé CZ traces a chevron outline between each baguette tier. From the side it reads like a descending ridgeline: elevated center, princess cuts, vertical baguettes, then the horizontal tiers stepping back. Wall-to-wall stone, but the layered structure gives it order.

What kind of stones are these? Are they diamonds?

They’re CZ — cubic zirconia, premium grade. Not diamonds, not Moissanite. The CZ we use comes from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop. On a center stone this size, cut quality shows directly. Standard CZ at this scale looks flat. The Swiss-certified grade we use doesn’t.

What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?

Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish. Applied over 925 sterling silver, a rhodium plated white gold finish creates a bright, durable surface that’s noticeably longer-lasting than standard white gold plating. We apply it by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not by machine, which gives more even coverage across all the baguette channels and tiered shoulder rows.

In terms of durability: the finish typically holds around three years of regular daily wear. But in practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have gone eight years before they noticed any fading. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it lasts. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — whenever the time comes, we take care of it.

Does sterling silver tarnish?

Yes. 925 sterling silver reacts with air, moisture, and skin chemistry over time — that’s chemistry, not a defect. The rhodium plated white gold finish slows this down significantly. When the plating eventually wears, cleaning is straightforward: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth, dry it immediately.

What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?

The prong settings on José Lux rings are hand-tensioned individually — stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If a Swiss CZ stone does come loose or fall out with no evidence of impact damage, José Lux will re-set it at no charge. We import Swiss CZ in bulk volume and absorb this cost entirely. This covers every setting in this ring — center solitaire, princess-cut frames, vertical baguettes, and all tiered shoulder stones. Rhodium re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. What’s not covered: impact damage — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or prongs. José Lux will still repair it in that case, at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

How does shipping work?

Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. You’ll receive tracking the day your order ships. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux is upfront about that rather than promising a window that can’t be controlled. If there’s an issue with your shipment, contact us directly and we sort it out.

How do I find my ring size?

We make every ring to your size — custom fit. Use our sizing guide and 60-second measurement video to get your measurement right before ordering. If you’re between sizes or unsure, message us first — it’s easier to get it right upfront than to adjust later.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at our workshop in Vietnam, by artisans who specialize in silver. Hand-set stones, rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand, hand-finished band. The José Lux team has worked alongside these artisans for years. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
