I’ve set a lot of halo rings at our Vietnam workshop. Here’s exactly what makes this one different.
Most halo rings frame the center stone in a square or circle. This one doesn’t. The halo is rotated 45 degrees — set as a diamond shape, with the four points of the frame sitting at north, south, east, and west of the center stone. At each tip, a small cluster of round CZ catches the corner. Inside the halo, round pavé CZ wraps close around the center stone. The effect is a star-like geometry: the eye follows the four points outward before coming back to the center. It reads differently in every light.

The center stone is a round brilliant-cut CZ, raised on four prongs by hand. The CZ in this ring — center stone and all halo stones — comes from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop bench. Not standard CZ. Tighter cut, better light return. On a halo design like this, where multiple stones are working together at different angles, that precision in the cutting shows.

What I don’t see often is what’s on the shoulders. The band widens toward the face in a broad flat taper, and instead of pavé stones or plain silver, it’s knurled. Hand-engraved grid pattern in the silver surface — rows of tight diamond-point cuts that catch diffuse light differently from the polished CZ above them. It creates contrast: the shoulder texture is matte and geometric, the halo above it is bright and faceted. Two completely different light behaviors in the same ring. That’s the decision that makes this piece.

About the Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what we use across every piece at José Lux.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans who do this work have been plating silver for longer than I have, and the result shows — the finish is more even, holds better at the prong edges and the halo channel, and sits cleanly along the knurled shoulders and the inner band. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. That said, in my experience tracking customer orders over the years, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty, so the ring keeps going as long as you want it to.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine. A polishing cloth is included with every order.
Handcraft — What That Means Here
Hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop by artisans with 20–30 years of bench experience. The knurling on the shoulders is done by hand — not stamped. The halo prong work requires setting each CZ accent at the four diamond tip points individually, which takes longer than a straight square halo. Every prong is tensioned by hand. Every ring is checked before it ships. There is no automated way to do this right.
Warranty and Repairs
Lifetime warranty. Here’s what that means in practice: if the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out, I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered under the lifetime warranty — always. The four halo tip clusters are the most delicate part of this ring; if any stone comes loose there, that’s covered. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, deliberate damage, or alterations done elsewhere. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days from dispatch. Customs delays can add time on European orders — I’ll note that honestly. Tracking is included and sent to you the day your order ships.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. Every stone in this ring was hand-set there. Every band hand-plated, hand-finished — no machine output. The artisans who made yours specialize in silver. That's all they do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. The only situation we can't guarantee is an address entered incorrectly at checkout. Even then, we refund you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ Section
What makes this a ‘diamond-shape’ halo ring?
The halo around the center stone is set as a diamond shape — a square rotated 45 degrees, so the four points sit at north, south, east, and west of the stone. Most halo rings use a square or round frame aligned straight with the band. This one doesn’t. The rotated frame changes how the eye reads the face — it follows the four points outward like a compass before coming back to center. That geometry is what gives this ring its distinctive look.
What is the texture on the shoulders?
It’s knurling — a hand-engraved grid of tight diamond-point cuts in the silver surface. Not pavé stones, not a plain polished band. The knurling creates a matte geometric texture that catches diffuse light differently from the polished CZ halo above it. One ring, two completely different surface behaviors. That contrast is intentional, and it’s the detail that makes this piece worth looking at twice.
What kind of stones are these? Are they diamonds?
They’re CZ — cubic zirconia. Not diamonds, not Moissanite. The CZ we use comes from certified Swiss import batches with documentation from the Swiss supplier to our Vietnam workshop. Precision-cut for better light return than standard CZ. The center stone throws a lot of light on its own — the halo frame amplifies it.
Is this ring made from real silver?
Yes. 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. That’s the industry standard for quality silver jewelry. Every ring is hand-finished and stamped at our Vietnam workshop.
What is a rhodium plated white gold finish, and how long does it last?
Rhodium is a platinum-group metal — harder than gold, naturally white, and resistant to tarnish. Applied over 925 sterling silver, a rhodium plated white gold finish creates a bright, durable surface that’s noticeably longer-lasting than standard white gold plating. We apply it by hand at our Vietnam workshop, not by machine, which gives more even coverage at the details — including along the knurled shoulder edges and the inner band.
In terms of durability: the finish typically holds around three years of regular daily wear. But in practice, many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have gone eight years before they noticed any fading. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it lasts. Re-plating is covered under the lifetime warranty — so whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
Does sterling silver tarnish?
Yes. 925 sterling silver reacts with air, moisture, and skin chemistry over time — that’s chemistry, not a defect. The rhodium plated white gold finish slows this down significantly. When the plating eventually wears, cleaning is straightforward: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth, dry it immediately.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
If the silver breaks, I repair it. If a stone works loose or falls out, I reset it. Re-plating when the finish wears — covered. Normal wear covered — always. The four halo tip clusters are the most delicate part of this ring; if any stone comes loose there, that’s covered. What’s not covered: lost stones you can’t return, accidental damage, or alterations done by someone else. If something falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote before we do anything.
How does shipping work?
Ships free via USPS to anywhere in the United States and Europe. You’ll receive tracking the day your order ships. Estimated delivery is 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — I’ll be upfront about that. If there’s an issue with your shipment, contact us directly and we sort it out.
How do I find my ring size?
We make every ring to your size — custom fit. Use our sizing guide and 60-second measurement video to get your measurement right before ordering. If you’re between sizes or unsure, message us first — it’s easier to get it right upfront than to adjust later.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at our workshop in Vietnam, by artisans who specialize in silver. Hand-set stones, hand-knurled shoulders, rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand, hand-finished band. I’ve worked alongside these people for years. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
