José Lux has been setting stones for over a decade. This ring — the Moissanite Bridal Ring — takes more bench time than most pieces we make. The shoulder structure alone has four distinct rows of stones on each side. Getting that geometry clean and flush takes patience.

The center stone is a 7.2mm round Moissanite, GRA certified Color D, Clarity FL. D means colorless — no yellow, no warmth, just white. FL means internally flawless under 10× magnification. Every stone comes with its own GRA certificate and a unique ID number, so what you receive is traceable and verified. At 100 facets, this stone catches light from more angles than a standard 58-facet round cut. Moissanite isn’t a diamond. It’s lab-created silicon carbide, and it produces more fire than diamond — you’ll see rainbow flashes in natural light that most stones at this price point don’t deliver.

The Shoulder Structure

This is where most of the bench work is. Each shoulder carries four rows of Swiss CZ running from the center stone down toward the band — and the way they’re arranged matters.

The first row, sitting closest to the center stone, is a single line of round pavé-set CZ. It frames the base of the Moissanite and creates a clean transition from the solitaire head into the shoulder.

The second and third rows sit flush against each other — two parallel lines of princess-cut channel-set CZ running side by side as one continuous block. No gap between them. When the light hits this section, it reads as a single wide band of square-cut stone stepping down the shoulder. Getting two channel rows to sit tight against each other without any vertical shift takes careful hand-setting. If the rows aren’t perfectly level, the whole shoulder looks off.

The fourth row — at the base of the shoulder, just above the band — is another single line of round pavé-set CZ, mirroring the first row. It closes the shoulder cleanly and separates the stone-set section from the plain band below.

All stones are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, hand-set. CZ is not Moissanite. The center stone is Moissanite, GRA certified. The shoulder stones are CZ. Both are genuine stones with different roles. The Moissanite is the main event. The CZ shoulders frame it.

About the Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. It’s the standard for quality silver jewelry, and it’s what José Lux uses across every piece.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans at the José Lux workshop have been plating silver for years, and it shows — the finish is more even, more durable at the details, and holds better at the prong edges, the channel rows, and the inner band. Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air, which is why this finish outperforms standard white gold plating.

In practice, the rhodium plated white gold finish typically holds for around three years of regular daily wear before you notice any fading. Based on José Lux’s records, the reality is often longer — many customers come back to re-plate after five years, and some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. How long it holds depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear it, and whether you take it off around chemicals. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop.

To keep it looking its best: warm water, a drop of mild soap, 30 seconds with a soft cloth. Dry it right away. That’s the whole routine.

Certification Included with Every Order

Each ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The certificate confirms the stone’s grade (Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 7.2mm) and carries a unique report number. Physical paperwork — not a digital printout, not a store-branded card.

Warranty and Repairs

The prong settings on José Lux rings are hand-adjusted by our artisans in Vietnam. Each stone — every pavé CZ, every channel-set princess CZ across the shoulders, the center Moissanite — is individually fitted and secured by hand. Not pressed in by machine. That’s why stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare at José Lux.

If a stone does become loose or fall out under normal everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux will handle it:

CZ and Swiss ECZ accent stones: Re-setting or replacing these stones is always free. José Lux imports CZ and Swiss ECZ in volume directly from our suppliers, so we absorb this cost entirely. This covers all four shoulder rows on both sides — every pavé and every channel-set CZ.

Moissanite center stone: If the center stone is lost or needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail price. That’s the lowest possible charge. The labor to re-set it? Always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No conditions, no time limit.

What’s not covered: stones lost due to a hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or prongs consistent with a fall. That’s accidental damage, not a manufacturing defect. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what is observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote first.
