José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. The Seven Stone is one of the most stone-forward designs we make. The count is literal: one Moissanite center stone and six Swiss CZ shoulder stones — three on each side — all visible from above, all prong-set, all contributing to how the ring reads on the finger. Seven stones in a single row across the top of the ring. That’s the design.

The center Moissanite sits in a six-prong elevated mount — higher off the band than a standard solitaire. Directly flanking it on each side are three oval-cut Swiss CZ stones, graduated in size: the stone closest to the center is the largest, the next slightly smaller, the outermost the smallest. The taper is intentional. It draws the eye inward to the Moissanite and gives the row a clean, symmetrical flow. Under the shoulder stones, a row of round pavé Swiss CZ runs along the lower gallery of the band on both sides. The shank below is plain silver.

The Center Stone — 8.2mm Moissanite, 2CT Equivalent

The center stone is GRA-certified Moissanite — Color D, Clarity FL. Colorless and internally flawless. 8.2mm round brilliant cut, 58 facets, 2ct equivalent weight. Each stone ships with its own GRA certificate and a unique report ID traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. It has more fire than diamond — more rainbow dispersion in directional light. On a Seven Stone setting, the center Moissanite sits elevated on six prongs above the shoulder row. That height gives the stone room to catch light from above and from the side simultaneously. In direct sunlight, the 8.2mm stone throws strong rainbow color. The oval CZ shoulder stones add their own flash on both sides. The full row of seven stones moves together in changing light.

The six shoulder stones and the under-gallery pavé are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. The oval shoulders are graduated in size, stepping down from the center outward. Their job is to extend the visual width of the ring and frame the Moissanite on both sides. The Moissanite is the certified center stone. The Swiss CZ is the setting architecture.

The Seven Stone Setting — Graduated Oval Shoulders, Pavé Under-Gallery

Seven Stone rings follow a specific logic: the center stone anchors the row, and the shoulder stones graduate outward in descending size. On this ring, the three oval Swiss CZ stones on each shoulder step from largest to smallest moving away from the center. Each stone is individually prong-set — separate prongs, separate stone, separate setting position. Six shoulder stones total across both sides.

Oval-cut stones are chosen for the shoulders deliberately. An oval has a longer face than a round stone of the same weight, which means more surface coverage per position. Three graduated ovals per side produce a shoulder that reads wide and full without needing a second row. From above, the shoulder stones connect visually to the center Moissanite — the full seven-stone row appears as one continuous sweep of stone across the top of the ring.

Under the shoulder stones, along the lower gallery of the band, a row of round pavé Swiss CZ runs the full length of both shoulders. These smaller round stones aren’t visible from above — they’re visible from the side and from below. They catch light at the base of the setting and add dimension to how the ring reads from every angle. Every pavé stone is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop.

The Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A seven-stone setting with a six-prong elevated center mount puts real load on the shank. The gauge of the silver blank is selected to hold that load without the shank flexing or the shoulder settings shifting under daily wear.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans doing this work have been plating silver for years. On a ring with six separate shoulder stone positions, six prongs per shoulder stone, and a full pavé under-gallery, hand plating gets into the detail points that machine dipping misses — the prong bases, the gallery rail, the transitions between the shoulder stones and the pavé row below.

Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, many José Lux customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

Certification

Every ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The report confirms Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 8.2mm, 2ct equivalent weight — and carries a unique report number traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card. The same format used in professional gemological documentation.

Warranty and Repairs

The prong settings on José Lux rings are built to hold. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that’s by design. Every shoulder stone prong, every pavé setting, and the six-prong center mount is hand-adjusted by our artisans in Vietnam. Not pushed in by machine.

If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

CZ and Swiss CZ stones: Re-setting or replacing any shoulder oval stone or pavé under-gallery stone is always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume directly from our suppliers. We absorb the cost entirely.

Moissanite center stone: If the center stone needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. That’s the lowest possible charge. Re-setting labor is always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set every stone on this ring — the six oval shoulder stones, the elevated center mount, the pavé under-gallery — and hand-plate every band have been doing this work for years. Longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every pavé position is set by hand. Every band is plated by hand. This is José Lux’s own workshop, not a third-party factory.

The Seven Stone setting requires consistent individual stone placement across six shoulder positions. Each oval has to be sized correctly for its position, seated correctly in its prongs, and aligned with the adjacent stones so the graduated row reads as one sweep rather than six separate stones. That’s bench work. We’ve done enough of it to know what right looks like.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.

FAQ

What are the shoulder stones made of?

Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not Moissanite. The center stone is the GRA-certified Moissanite, 8.2mm, 2ct equivalent. The six shoulder stones — three on each side — are oval-cut Swiss CZ, graduated in size from the center outward, individually prong-set. The pavé stones running along the under-gallery are round Swiss CZ. All are well-matched in color and brightness to the Moissanite center, but they are a different material. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you’re buying.

Why oval-cut stones on the shoulders?

An oval has a longer face than a round stone of the same weight. That means more visual coverage per shoulder position. Three graduated ovals per side produce a shoulder that reads wide and full from above — the seven-stone row appears as one continuous sweep across the top of the ring. If the shoulder stones were round, the row would feel narrower and more broken up. The oval cut is a deliberate setting choice, not an aesthetic default.

What does the graduated sizing do?

The three shoulder stones on each side step down in size from the center outward — largest next to the Moissanite, smallest at the end of the shoulder. That taper does two things: it draws the eye inward toward the center stone, and it gives the shoulder row a natural, tapered silhouette rather than a flat, equal-width block. On the finger, it reads as intentional design. Up close, you can see each stone individually. From a normal viewing distance, it reads as a single flowing row.

What is the pavé under the shoulders?

Along the lower gallery of the band — the underside of the shoulder setting, visible from the side and from below — a row of small round Swiss CZ stones is pavé-set along both shoulders. These stones aren’t the focal point of the design. They’re what makes the ring look finished from every angle. When light hits the ring from the side, those under-gallery stones catch it. Every pavé stone is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop.

How does the ring look in person?

The seven-stone row is what you see first. The 8.2mm Moissanite sits elevated above the shoulder stones on six prongs — it dominates the center. The three graduated ovals on each side frame it and extend the width of the ring outward. In direct light, the Moissanite throws strong rainbow color and the oval CZ shoulders add their own flash. From the side, the pavé under-gallery catches light and fills in the band profile. The rhodium plated finish is mirror-bright white across the entire ring. This is not a ring that reads quietly on the finger.

How long does the plating last?

The rhodium plated white gold finish is hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop — not machine-dipped. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. The longest we’ve recorded before a first re-plate is eight years of daily wear. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. Whenever the time comes, we take care of it.

What does the warranty cover?

The prong settings and pavé settings on José Lux rings are built to hold — stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens: all Swiss CZ stones — the six oval shoulder stones and the pavé under-gallery stones — are re-set for free. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely. Moissanite center stone replacement is charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. Re-plating is always free.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the same day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders occasionally see customs delays — José Lux is honest about that rather than promising a window we can’t control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Our artisans specialize in silver. Six individual shoulder stone settings — each oval stone prong-set separately — plus a six-prong elevated center mount and a full pavé under-gallery requires significant hand-setting bench time. Every stone is set by hand. Every band is plated by hand. This is José Lux’s own workshop. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the work is consistent.
