José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. A 10mm center stone at 4ct equivalent is the largest we set in our standard lineup. The stone is substantial in a way that photographs don’t fully capture — on the finger, it commands the room. The Wide Band Pavé is built to carry it: a wide, solid 925 sterling silver shank, three rows of round pavé Swiss CZ running down both shoulders, and a heart-shaped cutout worked into the underside of the center mount. The stone elevated on four prongs above all of it.

Everything about this ring is scaled to the center stone. The band is wider than a standard solitaire shank — it has to be to support the mount and the three pavé rows without flexing. The pavé runs dense across both shoulders. The heart detail under the mount is visible when you hold the ring up — a small, precise piece of bench work that you notice up close. Every stone is hand-set at our Vietnam workshop.
The Center Stone — 10mm Moissanite, 4CT Equivalent
The center stone is GRA-certified Moissanite — Color D, Clarity FL. Colorless and internally flawless. 10mm round brilliant cut, 58 facets, 4ct equivalent weight. Each stone ships with its own GRA certificate and a unique report ID traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. It has more fire than diamond — more rainbow dispersion in directional light. At 10mm, the stone face is large enough that you see that fire across the full diameter simultaneously. In direct sunlight, a 4ct equivalent Moissanite produces strong, wide rainbow flashes. Indoors, the brilliance is continuous. There is no angle where this stone reads quietly.
The shoulder pavé stones are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, round brilliant cut, individually hand-set. Their job is to extend the sparkle from the center stone down the full shoulder width. The Moissanite is the certified center stone. The Swiss CZ is the setting architecture around it.
The Wide Band — Three-Row Pavé Shoulders, Heart Gallery Detail
The band on this ring is wider than what you’ll find under a standard solitaire. That width is structural — a 10mm 4ct equivalent stone on a narrow shank would flex under daily wear. The gauge is selected to hold the center mount stable over years of use, not just when the ring is new.

Three rows of round pavé Swiss CZ run down both shoulders. The stones sit close together across all three rows, covering the top face of the band from the base of the center mount outward. From above, the shoulder reads as a wide, dense strip of continuous sparkle running on both sides of the center stone. Every pavé stone is individually hand-set by our artisans in Vietnam.
Under the center mount, worked into the gallery of the setting, is a heart-shaped cutout. Not stamped. Not machine-pressed. Cut into the silver by hand. It’s visible when you hold the ring up from below or turn it to the side. This is the kind of bench detail that takes time to do correctly — getting the shape clean at that scale, at that position, in sterling silver, without affecting the structural integrity of the mount above it.
The Metal and Plating
The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A wide band carrying three rows of pavé and a 4ct equivalent center mount puts real load on the shank. José Lux uses a properly gauged blank for this design so the band holds its shape and the pavé settings stay secure under daily wear, not just when the ring leaves the workshop.
Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Not machine-dipped. The artisans doing this work have been plating silver for years. On a wide band with three rows of pavé, the plating has to reach consistently across the full shoulder surface, around the heart gallery cutout, and across the prong bases at the center mount. Hand plating does that. Machine dipping leaves gaps at those detail points.
Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers come back to re-plate after five years. The longest we’ve recorded before a first re-plate is eight years of daily wear. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect how long it holds. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.
Certification
Every ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The report confirms Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 10mm, 4ct equivalent weight — and carries a unique report number traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card. The same format used in professional gemological documentation.
Warranty and Repairs
The prong settings and pavé settings on José Lux rings are built to hold. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that’s by design. The center prong mount and every pavé position across both shoulders is hand-set by our artisans in Vietnam. Not pushed in by machine.
If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
CZ and Swiss CZ pavé stones: Re-setting or replacing any shoulder pavé stone is always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume directly from our suppliers. We absorb the cost entirely.
Moissanite center stone: If the center stone needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. That’s the lowest possible charge. Re-setting labor is always free.
Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the same day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders occasionally see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can’t control.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your pavé stones, work your gallery detail, and plate your band have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. Every prong at the center mount is adjusted by hand. Every pavé position across both shoulder rows is set by hand. The heart cutout under the mount is hand-worked. Every band is plated by hand. This is José Lux’s own workshop, not a third-party factory.
A 10mm 4ct equivalent center stone is the largest we set in our standard work. The wide band is specifically gauged for it. The three pavé rows are scaled to it. The heart gallery detail takes more time at this scale than it would on a narrower mount. We’ve made enough of these to know exactly what that requires. It’s not the most complex ring we make. But it’s the most substantial.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured
Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
Why is the band wider than a standard solitaire?
A 10mm center stone at 4ct equivalent is significantly heavier than a standard 6.5mm stone. A narrow solitaire shank under that mount would flex under daily wear — which loosens the prong settings over time. The wide band is a structural decision, not just a design preference. The gauge is selected to hold the center mount stable and keep the pavé settings secure over years of use.
What is the heart detail under the mount?
Under the center stone setting, worked into the gallery of the mount, is a heart-shaped cutout. It’s visible when you hold the ring up from below or turn it to the side. José Lux cuts this into the silver by hand at our Vietnam workshop. It’s a detail that takes bench time to do cleanly at that scale and position — which is why most wide band rings don’t have it.
What are the pavé shoulder stones made of?
Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not Moissanite. The center stone is the GRA-certified Moissanite, 10mm, 4ct equivalent. The three rows of pavé running down both shoulders are Swiss CZ, round brilliant cut, individually hand-set. Well-matched in color and brightness to the Moissanite center, but a different material. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you’re buying.
How does a 10mm 4ct Moissanite look in person?
Large. A 10mm stone face is significantly wider than a 7mm or 8mm stone — the difference is immediately visible on the finger. At 4ct equivalent, this is a statement center stone by any standard. Moissanite has more fire than diamond, which at 10mm means the rainbow dispersion covers a wide area. In direct sunlight, the flashes are strong and wide. Indoors, the brilliance is continuous across the full stone face. The wide pavé shoulders extend that sparkle outward on both sides. This ring is not designed for understatement.
How long does the plating last?
The rhodium plated white gold finish is hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop — not machine-dipped. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. The longest we’ve recorded before a first re-plate is eight years of daily wear. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. Whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
What does the warranty cover?
The prong settings and pavé settings on José Lux rings are built to hold — stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens: all Swiss CZ pavé stones across both shoulder rows are re-set for free. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely. Moissanite center stone replacement is charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. Re-plating is always free.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the same day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders occasionally see customs delays — José Lux is honest about that rather than promising a window we can’t control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Our artisans specialize in silver. The wide band, three rows of pavé on both shoulders, the heart gallery cutout, and the four-prong center mount are all hand-made and hand-finished. Every stone is set by hand. Every band is plated by hand. This is José Lux’s own workshop. The origin isn’t a footnote — it’s the reason the craft is consistent.
