José Lux has been hand-setting Moissanite for over a decade. The Infinity Teardrop Pendant is the most architecturally complex design in our necklace collection — and the one with the most moving parts. The pendant operates in two metals simultaneously: a white rhodium teardrop frame set with Swiss CZ pavé running the full outer perimeter, and a rose gold infinity symbol suspended inside that frame, from which the Moissanite center stone hangs freely. The Moissanite does not sit in a prong mount fixed to the frame. It hangs from the lower loop of the infinity symbol, suspended inside the teardrop. When the pendant moves, the stone moves with it.

Two metals. One pendant. The white rhodium CZ frame is the outer structure. The rose gold infinity is the inner suspension. The Moissanite is the payload — the stone the entire design exists to carry and display. The bail above the frame is rose gold, matching the infinity symbol below it and tying both warm elements together across the white frame between them. From chain to stone: rose gold bail, white CZ frame, rose gold infinity, floating Moissanite. The two-tone architecture is intentional and precise.
Every element is hand-formed and hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. The infinity symbol has to be formed to the correct proportions so the two loops read as a recognizable infinity shape at pendant scale, and the lower loop has to be sized correctly to hold the Moissanite suspension point without the stone resting against the frame walls. The CZ pavé on the teardrop frame has to follow the pear outline through the curved sides and pointed base. The two plating finishes — white rhodium on the frame, rose gold rhodium on the bail and infinity — have to be applied separately and cleanly so the two-tone contrast reads as a design decision rather than inconsistent coverage. This is the most demanding pendant we make.
The Pendant Architecture — Four Elements, Two Metals
Element one is the bail — rose gold rhodium, polished, unset. It connects the chain to the pendant frame above the teardrop's rounded top. The bail is rose gold, not white gold, which means the warm tone appears at the very top of the pendant before the eye enters the white CZ frame below. That rose gold bail is the first signal that this is a two-tone piece.

Element two is the teardrop frame — white rhodium plated, with Swiss CZ pavé running the full perimeter of the pear shape from the top, down both curved sides, through the pointed base, and back up. The CZ frame is the structural outer boundary of the pendant. It defines the teardrop silhouette in sparkle. The white rhodium finish on the CZ frame contrasts with the rose gold bail above and the rose gold infinity inside — the white frame acts as a visual separator between the two warm elements.
Element three is the infinity symbol — rose gold rhodium, polished, positioned inside the teardrop frame. The infinity is formed from two loops crossing at the center. The upper loop connects to the frame at the top interior, anchoring the infinity in position. The lower loop hangs free inside the lower portion of the teardrop frame, and from the base of this lower loop, the Moissanite center stone is suspended. The rose gold infinity is the most visible interior element of the pendant. It is what the eye sees first when looking at the pendant face — the warm rose gold figure-eight inside the white CZ frame.
Element four is the Moissanite — suspended from the lower loop of the infinity symbol by a small connecting element, hanging inside the teardrop frame with space around it on all sides. It is not prong-set into the frame. It is not bezel-set into the infinity. It hangs. When the pendant is still, the stone rests at the bottom of its suspension range inside the lower teardrop space. When the pendant moves, the stone swings slightly within the frame. In direct light, that movement changes which facets are catching the light source, producing continuously changing flash patterns that a fixed-mount stone cannot produce.
The Center Stone — 5mm Moissanite, 0.5CT, Floating Suspension
The center stone is GRA-certified Moissanite — Color D, Clarity FL. Colorless and internally flawless. 5mm round brilliant cut, 58 facets, 0.5ct equivalent weight. Each stone ships with its own GRA certificate carrying a unique report ID traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and José Lux won't tell you it is. What it has — and what makes it the right stone for a floating suspension setting — is more fire than diamond. More fire means more rainbow dispersion in directional light. A floating stone catches light differently at every position in its suspension range, which means the Moissanite in this pendant is constantly producing different flash patterns as the wearer moves. The rainbow fire of Moissanite is most visible when the stone is moving. This setting is designed to keep the stone in motion.
The frame accent stones are Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, not Moissanite. They run in continuous pavé around the full teardrop frame perimeter. Their function is to define the outer boundary of the pendant in sparkle and create the white visual frame that makes the rose gold infinity and the suspended Moissanite inside it read as the featured elements. The Moissanite is the certified center stone. The Swiss CZ is the frame architecture.
How the Pendant Looks in Person
The Infinity Teardrop reads on the collarbone as a pendant in two distinct visual layers: the outer white CZ teardrop frame, and the rose gold infinity with its suspended Moissanite inside it. From straight on, the pendant face shows the CZ frame perimeter as a continuous sparkle outline, the rose gold infinity as a warm figure-eight inside the frame, and the Moissanite as a bright point of light hanging in the lower section of the interior space.
The floating stone is the visual feature that separates this pendant from any fixed-mount teardrop design. At conversation distance, the Moissanite appears to float inside the frame — suspended, not mounted. When the wearer moves, the stone shifts slightly within the frame, and the light it catches rotates with that movement. In direct sunlight, the Moissanite produces strong rainbow flashes. The CZ teardrop frame surrounds the composition with white sparkle. The rose gold bail and rose gold infinity warm the entire pendant against the skin and the white chain above.
The cable chain is white rhodium plated, matching the frame finish. The two-tone effect is therefore complete: the chain and frame are white; the bail and infinity are rose gold. The Moissanite at the center is the element the two metals exist to frame and carry.
Two-Tone Rhodium Plating — White Gold and Rose Gold, Hand-Applied
This necklace is 925 sterling silver at its core — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. The two-tone finish is produced by applying two different rhodium plating formulations to the same piece at different points: white rhodium on the teardrop frame, chain, and chain-facing surfaces; rose gold rhodium on the bail, the infinity symbol, and the inner frame elements. These are two separate plating operations on the same pendant, applied in sequence with masking to keep the finishes separated at the correct boundaries.

Rhodium is one of the hardest precious metals. Standard rhodium plating produces a bright white finish — that is white gold jewelry. Rose gold rhodium uses a different rhodium alloy formulated to produce a warm pink-gold tone. Both are applied by electroplating a thin, dense layer over the silver base. At José Lux, both white and rose gold rhodium finishes are hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop by artisans who have been plating silver for years. Not machine-dipped. Hand-done.
Hand-application is essential on a two-tone pendant. The boundary between the white frame and the rose gold infinity has to be precise — the two finishes meeting cleanly at the junction points where the infinity connects to the frame interior. Machine-dipping cannot hold that boundary with precision; the plating bleeds across junctions. Hand-application allows each finish to be controlled at each element independently. The result is a two-tone pendant where the white and rose gold zones read as a deliberate design decision, not as a plating inconsistency.
The conservative baseline for both rhodium finishes is three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers report five years or longer. When either finish eventually fades, ship it back. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions. Both finishes are restored to the original specification.
The Chain — 18 Inches, Handcrafted Lobster Clasp
The chain is 925 sterling silver, cable-link style, 18 inches in length, white rhodium plated to match the teardrop frame. 18 inches is the standard fit for virtually every woman — collarbone length, the right drop for a pendant this size and visual complexity. Every customer at José Lux who has purchased a necklace at this length has been satisfied with the fit. The oval cable links move freely and allow the pendant to hang at the correct depth so the floating Moissanite sits in its intended position within the frame.
The lobster clasp is handcrafted at our Vietnam workshop, white rhodium plated to match the chain. It holds firm during wear and does not release under pressure or vibration. When you want to remove the necklace, it opens cleanly with a single thumb press. Easy when you intend it. Secure when you don't. We've been making them long enough to know the difference.
Certification
Every necklace ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite center stone. The report confirms Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, 5mm, 0.5ct equivalent weight — and carries a unique report number traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate, not a card.
Warranty and Repairs
Every CZ stone in the teardrop frame and the Moissanite suspension on a José Lux Infinity Teardrop Pendant is adjusted by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. That's by design.
If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
- Swiss CZ frame stones: Re-setting or replacing is always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely.
- Moissanite center stone: If the floating stone needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.
- Two-tone rhodium re-plating: Both white and rose gold finishes re-plated free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.
What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — visible deformation of the frame, infinity mount, or suspension point consistent with a fall or hard strike. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside warranty, we still fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Shipping

If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you're covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your necklace in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your necklace ships with an anti-shock protective layer inside a dedicated jewelry box, inside an outer gift box. The pendant is secured individually. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-form the rose gold infinity symbol, hand-set the CZ teardrop frame, engineer the Moissanite floating suspension, and hand-apply two separate rhodium plating finishes have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. Every frame stone is set by hand. Every pendant is plated by hand — twice, in two different finishes. This is José Lux's own workshop, not a third-party factory.
The Infinity Teardrop is the most demanding pendant we make. It requires more distinct operations than any other design in our collection: forming and polishing the infinity symbol, setting the CZ frame, calibrating the Moissanite suspension, and executing two-tone rhodium plating with clean boundaries between the two finishes. Each operation affects the next. The suspension calibration affects how the stone moves inside the frame. The plating boundary quality affects how the two-tone design reads in the finished piece. At our Vietnam workshop, every step is done correctly, in the correct sequence, by hand. That is what you're receiving when you buy this pendant from José Lux.
Your Necklace Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your necklace ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the necklace securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the necklace itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your necklace in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
What does 'floating' mean — is the stone really loose inside the frame?
Yes. The Moissanite center stone is suspended from the lower loop of the rose gold infinity symbol by a small connecting element. It is not prong-set into the frame and not fixed into the infinity mount. It hangs inside the lower teardrop space with clearance between the stone and the frame walls on all sides. When the pendant is still, the stone rests at the bottom of its suspension range. When the pendant moves, the stone swings slightly within the frame. The suspension point is engineered to hold the stone securely under daily wear while allowing that limited movement. The stone will not fall out from normal daily wear — it is a controlled suspension, not an open loop. The movement is intentional. It is what produces the continuously changing light patterns that make this pendant distinctive.
What is the infinity symbol made of and where does it sit?
The infinity symbol is rose gold rhodium plated 925 sterling silver — the same base metal as the rest of the pendant, finished in rose gold rhodium rather than white. It sits inside the teardrop frame, connected to the frame at the upper interior where the two loops of the infinity cross. The upper loop anchors the infinity in position within the frame. The lower loop hangs inside the lower portion of the teardrop space and carries the Moissanite suspension point at its base. The infinity is polished and unset — no stones on the symbol itself. It is a warm rose gold form inside the white CZ frame, visible as the dominant interior element of the pendant face.
How does the two-tone finish work?
The two-tone effect is produced by applying two different rhodium plating formulations to the same 925 sterling silver base: white rhodium on the teardrop frame and chain; rose gold rhodium on the bail and infinity symbol. These are two separate plating operations applied in sequence at our Vietnam workshop. The white rhodium finish produces the bright white color on the outer frame and chain. The rose gold rhodium finish produces the warm pink-gold tone on the bail and infinity. At the junction points where the two finishes meet — where the rose gold infinity connects to the white frame interior — the boundary is held precisely by hand-application. Machine-dipping cannot hold two-tone boundaries cleanly. Hand-application does.
Is the rose gold real gold and is the white gold real gold?
Neither finish contains gold. The white finish is white rhodium plating over 925 sterling silver — not white gold alloy. The rose gold finish is rose gold rhodium plating over 925 sterling silver — not a gold alloy, not gold-filled, not vermeil. Both are rhodium applied over the same silver base, using different rhodium alloy formulations to produce different colors. At José Lux, both are hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop. When either finish eventually fades, re-plating for both finishes is always free — no time limit, no conditions.
What are the frame stones made of?
Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not Moissanite. The center stone is the GRA-certified Moissanite, 5mm, 0.5ct equivalent. The teardrop frame is set with Swiss CZ pavé running the full perimeter. They are closely matched in color and brightness to the Moissanite center stone, but they are a different material. José Lux states this clearly because we want you to know exactly what you're buying.
How does the pendant look on the neck?
The Infinity Teardrop reads on the collarbone as a layered pendant with two visible zones: the white CZ outer frame as a sparkle outline, and the rose gold infinity with the floating Moissanite inside it. The pendant has visual depth — the infinity and stone appear to sit inside the frame rather than on the same plane as it. In natural light, the Moissanite fires with rainbow flashes that change as the stone moves on its suspension. The CZ frame adds white sparkle around the full teardrop perimeter. The rose gold bail and infinity warm the entire pendant against the white chain and frame. It is a complex, layered pendant that reads at conversation distance and rewards closer inspection.
Is 18 inches the right length for me?
18 inches is the standard collarbone length — it sits just above the sternum on most women. Every customer at José Lux who has purchased a necklace at this length has been satisfied with the fit. At 18 inches, the pendant sits at the sternum where the floating stone has the most visibility and the two-tone frame reads clearly against the neckline.
How secure is the lobster clasp?
The lobster clasp on every José Lux necklace is handcrafted at our Vietnam workshop — not a standard factory-pressed clasp. The mechanism holds firm during wear and does not release under pressure or vibration. When you want to remove the necklace, it opens cleanly with a single thumb press. Easy when you intend it. Secure when you don't.
Does the necklace tarnish?
Not while the rhodium plating holds. Both the white rhodium frame and the rose gold rhodium bail and infinity sit as hard barriers between the 925 sterling silver and air — while they hold, the silver underneath stays bright and doesn't tarnish. Each finish holds for at least 3 years under regular daily wear. Many José Lux customers report 5 years or longer. When the plating eventually wears through, you'll notice the finish losing its color — that's your signal to send it back. Re-plating of both finishes is always free at the José Lux workshop, no time limit, no conditions.
What does the warranty cover?
The CZ frame settings and Moissanite floating suspension on José Lux Infinity Teardrop Pendants are built to hold — stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens with no evidence of impact damage: Swiss CZ frame stones are re-set for free. Moissanite replacement is charged at our Hong Kong import cost only. Re-plating of both finishes is free. What's not covered: impact damage — visible deformation of the frame or suspension point consistent with a fall or hard strike. José Lux still fixes impact damage, at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Where is this necklace made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Our artisans hand-form the infinity symbol to the correct proportions, set the CZ pavé along the teardrop frame perimeter, set the Moissanite suspension inside the lower infinity loop, and hand-apply two separate rhodium finishes — white on the frame and rose gold on the bail and infinity — in sequence with precise boundary control. The two-tone boundary where the rose gold infinity meets the white frame interior is the most technically specific point on this pendant. At José Lux, it is clean. The lobster clasp is handcrafted at the same workshop. This is José Lux's own operation. The origin isn't a footnote — it's why the quality is consistent.
