José Lux has been hand-finishing men's silver pendants for over a decade. The Lion King Crown is one of the most sculpted pieces we make — a fully three-dimensional lion head cast in 925 sterling silver, with hand-detailed mane texture across every surface, a crown band set with a full row of Swiss CZ, and CZ-set eyes. The front face has the detail depth of a sculpted piece. The bail above is also stone-set in pave Swiss CZ.

At 3.2cm tall and 2.4cm wide, this pendant has real physical presence on the neck. It's not flat. It projects forward. Men who buy it want a pendant that reads as three-dimensional — a piece with sculptural weight, not just graphic coverage. The pendant ships with a box chain — 55cm (21.6 in), 925 sterling silver, rhodium plated to match — that sits flat on the neck and carries the pendant cleanly.
The stone work on this pendant is specific: a continuous row of round Swiss CZ pave-set along the crown band that circles the lion's head, two CZ stones set into the eye sockets, and a full stone coverage on the bail. The lion face and mane are finished in high-polish rhodium — the contrast between the polished sculptural silver and the iced crown is what defines this pendant's look.
The Lion King Crown Pendant — Design and Sculpt Detail
The pendant is a fully three-dimensional sculpted lion head — not a flat stamped profile. The mane radiates outward from the face in layered relief, hand-detailed with individual strand texture. The face carries defined eye sockets, a prominent brow ridge, a sculpted nose, and an open mouth with visible teeth. Every surface of the front face has depth and shadow.

The crown sits across the top of the head and circles the full perimeter — not just the front. The crown band is set with a continuous row of round Swiss CZ in micro pave. The stones run uninterrupted along the full band circumference, including the sides and back that are visible when the pendant moves on the chain. The crown points rise above the band between the stone settings, alternating with the pave-set sections.
The eyes are set with individual Swiss CZ stones — one per socket, seated flush with the eye surface. In direct light, the eye stones catch light independently of the crown band, giving the pendant two separate iced zones: the crown above and the eyes at the face center.

The bail above the crown is rectangular and fully paved in round Swiss CZ, matching the stone density of the crown band. When the pendant hangs on the chain, the bail stone coverage transitions into the crown band stone coverage without a gap.
Swiss CZ is Cubic Zirconia manufactured to a consistent optical standard. José Lux sources round CZ for both the crown band and the eye settings from the same certified import lot — the stones across both zones read as the same white in all light conditions. Crown band stones and eye stones from mismatched lots produce a visible color difference between the two iced zones. Ours don't.

Every stone is hand-set. The crown band pave and the bail pave are individually placed and secured at the bench. The eye stones are individually seated in their sockets. José Lux doesn't machine-press any setting on this pendant. Hand-setting on a three-dimensional sculpted piece is the only way to get consistent stone positioning across curved and angled surfaces.
The Sculpted Finish — Polish and Texture
The lion face and mane are finished in high-polish rhodium — mirror-clean across the sculpted relief surfaces. The polished finish is what makes the sculpted depth read clearly: it creates strong light and shadow contrast across the mane strands and face structure. A matte or brushed finish on a piece this detailed would flatten the sculpt. High-polish doesn't.

The contrast between the polished lion body and the iced crown band is the defining visual of this pendant. Two different surface languages in the same piece: sculptural weight below the crown, stone coverage above. That contrast is what makes the Lion King Crown read differently from a fully-iced pendant.
The Box Chain
The chain included with this pendant is a box chain — square links in a continuous line, producing a smooth, flat surface along the full length. Box chain doesn't twist under pendant weight and drapes cleanly on the neck. At 55cm (21.6 in), the chain places the pendant at mid-chest on most men — the correct wear position for a sculptural pendant at this scale. Chain and pendant are matched in finish: both rhodium plated white gold, both hand-applied at the José Lux workshop.
The Metal and Plating
The pendant and chain are 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. A three-dimensional sculpted pendant at this mass and detail level requires a base metal that holds the cast geometry without deforming. The copper content in 925 is what keeps the sculpt stable through daily wear and through the pressure of hand-set stones in the crown band.
Every piece gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Not machine-dipped. Hand application is essential for a piece with this much surface variation — the high-polish lion face, the mane relief texture, the crown band stone settings, the bail, and the box chain links all require different application pressure and coverage time. Machine dipping applies uniform coverage that leaves thin spots on interior relief surfaces. Hand plating adjusts to every surface.
Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. The finish keeps the pendant bright white and mirror-clean through daily wear. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate after five years. The longest we've recorded: eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate.
Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
The Clasp — Hand-Finished Lobster Claw
The lobster claw clasp on this chain is hand-crafted and hand-finished at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The spring mechanism engages cleanly and holds under the movement of daily wear — including the weight of a three-dimensional sculpted pendant. It doesn't rattle. It doesn't open unexpectedly.
Single-hand operation: press the lever, hook the ring, release. Easy to remove when you need to clean the chain or the pendant. The clasp unhooks cleanly from the bail loop when you want to swap the pendant to a different chain. Every clasp is tested at the workshop before the necklace ships. If it doesn't hold to our satisfaction, we adjust it. If it can't be adjusted, it's replaced.
Care
The rhodium plated white gold finish protects the silver surface on both the pendant and chain. Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine (pools, hot tubs), bleach, strong household cleaners, and perfume applied directly to the piece.
For the pendant: the mane relief texture and the crown band stone settings collect residue between surfaces over time. A soft brush with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap, worked carefully across the mane texture and along the crown band, then rinsed thoroughly. Pay attention to the gap between the crown band and the top of the mane where the two surfaces meet. Air dry fully. Monthly cleaning keeps the polished surfaces bright and the stones clear.
The polishing cloth José Lux includes with every order handles light surface residue on the chain between deeper cleans.
Warranty
José Lux's goal is simple: your pendant and chain should last as long as you want to wear them.
Swiss CZ re-setting: always free. If a crown band stone or eye stone comes loose under normal daily wear, José Lux re-sets it at no charge. José Lux imports Swiss CZ at volume — replacement stone cost is absorbed by the workshop.
Rhodium re-plating: always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. When the finish fades after years of daily wear, we re-plate at no charge.
Clasp: if the lobster claw fails under normal daily wear — no impacts, no bending from force — José Lux repairs or replaces it.
What's not covered: visible physical damage from hard impact — crown point deformation from a drop, mane surface damage from a strike, or stone loss from visible impact damage. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who cast, detail, stone-set, and plate this pendant have been doing this work for years. Every stone is placed individually. Every clasp is tested before the necklace ships.

A three-dimensional sculpted lion pendant looks striking from the outside. Finishing it correctly is multiple disciplines at once: casting the lion form with clean mane relief detail, hand-applying rhodium to a complex curved surface without pooling in the mane gaps or thinning on the raised ridges, setting pave stones along a curved crown band with consistent alignment as the band wraps around the head, seating individual CZ stones flush in eye sockets. José Lux has been doing this work long enough to know where cheaper versions of this pendant fail — crown band stones that sit at inconsistent heights because the band curve wasn't accounted for in the setting, mane surfaces where the polish is uneven because the plating wasn't adjusted for relief depth, eye stones that sit proud of the socket because the seat wasn't cut to the stone's diameter. Ours don't have those problems. Because every step is done by hand, by artisans who have done it before.
Your Necklace Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your necklace ships in two layers of packaging. The inner box holds the chain and pendant securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the necklace itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your necklace in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can encounter customs delays — José Lux states that upfront rather than promise a window we can't control.
A silver polishing cloth and a José Lux warranty card from the workshop are included with every order.
FAQ
What makes this a Lion King Crown pendant?
It's a fully three-dimensional sculpted lion head in 925 sterling silver — not a flat profile or a stamped cutout. The mane has hand-detailed strand texture in layered relief. The face has defined depth: brow ridge, eye sockets, nose, open mouth. The crown sits across the full top of the head with a continuous row of pave Swiss CZ along the crown band. The eyes are set with individual CZ stones. The contrast between the polished sculpted lion body and the iced crown band is what defines the pendant's look — two surface languages in one piece.
Is the lion face iced out or polished?
The lion face and mane are high-polish rhodium — mirror-clean, not stone-set. The stone work is on the crown band, the eyes, and the bail. This is a deliberate design choice: fully icing the sculpted mane surface would flatten the relief detail and eliminate the shadow contrast that makes the three-dimensional sculpt readable. The polish lets the sculpt do its work. The crown band and eyes provide the stone flash. The combination reads better than full icing would on a piece this detailed.
How large is this pendant and how does it wear?
3.2cm tall × 2.4cm wide — approximately 1.26 inches × 0.94 inches. It's a compact statement pendant. Three-dimensional, so it projects forward off the neck rather than lying flat. At mid-chest on a 55cm chain, it reads clearly and moves with the body. Men who want a sculptural piece rather than a flat graphic pendant buy this one.
Why a lobster claw clasp?
For a three-dimensional pendant at this weight, a lobster claw clasp provides the most reliable hold. The spring mechanism engages firmly and holds under the movement of a sculptural pendant in daily wear. Single-hand operation — press the lever, hook, release. Easy to remove for cleaning. Easy to unhook from the bail to swap the pendant. José Lux hand-finishes every lobster claw clasp at the Vietnam workshop and tests it before the necklace ships.
How does the rhodium plating work on a sculpted pendant?
Hand-applied, not machine-dipped. A sculpted 3D pendant has complex surface geometry — the high-polish lion face, the mane relief texture, the crown band stone settings, and the bail all require different plating attention. Machine dipping applies uniform coverage that leaves thin spots on interior relief surfaces and the gaps between mane strands. Hand plating adjusts pressure and coverage to every surface zone. Rhodium is harder than gold and keeps the piece bright white through daily wear. Conservative baseline: three years. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit.
What happens if a stone comes loose?
Swiss CZ re-setting is always free at José Lux — for crown band pave stones and eye stones. We import at volume; the cost is absorbed by the workshop. Contact the workshop with a description and we handle it. What's not covered: visible physical damage from a hard impact. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates clearly.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can't control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where is this pendant made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set the crown band, eye stones, and bail on this pendant and apply the rhodium plating have been doing this work for years. Hand-setting pave stones on a curved three-dimensional crown band — maintaining consistent stone alignment as the surface curves — is a different skill from flat pave work. The workshop has been doing both for over a decade.
