We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Bezel Set Ring is built around a different kind of setting than most of our range. The 7.0mm center stone isn't held by prongs — it's rubbed over in a full metal bezel, a solid rim of silver wrapped completely around the stone's girdle. Framing that bezel is an octagon-shaped plate of flat, polished facets, and beyond that, the shoulders carry dense round pavé with a diagonal row of princess-cut stones set at an angle through each side.

Every stone on this ring is GRA-certified Moissanite. Not a mix. Not CZ anywhere — bezel, pavé, or the princess-cut row. We say that clearly because a build with this many distinct stone positions and two different cuts is exactly where it would be easy to quietly swap in something cheaper for the accent stones. We don't.

Turn the ring over and you'll see the part most rings hide. We cut the gallery underneath open in an ornamental lattice — overlapping oval lens shapes, not a plain grid — instead of leaving a solid plate. On a wide bezel ring like this one, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, so less flat surface presses into the skin. That means fewer indent marks on your finger, and less of the pinched, tired feeling a solid-backed wide ring causes by the end of a long day. It's what makes a wide bezel ring comfortable enough to wear every day, not just for photos. The center stone is visible through the opening from below, which is unusual on a bezel setting; most bezels close the stone off completely on the underside. Ours doesn't.

The Stones — Full Moissanite, Bezel to Edge

Every stone on this ring — the 7.0mm bezel-set center, and every round and princess-cut stone across the octagon frame and shoulders — is GRA-certified Moissanite. Round brilliant, Color D, Colorless, Internally Flawless, 58 facets per stone, for the center and the pavé. The diagonal shoulder accents are princess-cut, square-faceted Moissanite from the same certified standard. Each stone is lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale.

The bezel setting changes how the center stone reads compared to a prong setting. There's no metal claw breaking up the stone's outline — the rim wraps the full girdle, so the stone sits as one unbroken circle of light inside the octagon frame. Moissanite is not a diamond. We'll say that clearly: it's its own material with its own optical properties, producing more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond does. A full bezel doesn't dim that; it just changes the frame around it.

Each ring ships with its own GRA certificate. Physical certificate, unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch. Not a card. Not a QR code. A gemological report in the same format used in professional trade documentation.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A bezel setting asks more of the metal than a prong setting does: the rim has to be rubbed down evenly around the entire stone with no thin spots, the octagon plate's flat facets have to stay crisp, and the diagonal princess-cut channel has to hold square stones flush at an angle instead of straight down the shoulder. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. A bezel rim and flat octagon facets are unforgiving surfaces for plating — any unevenness shows immediately on a polished flat panel in a way it wouldn't on a busy pavé field, which is exactly why we don't machine-dip this build.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Certification

Every ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite stones. Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets — with a unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate. This is the same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade. One certificate covers the batch — center stone included, not sold or documented separately.

Warranty and Repairs

The bezel rim, the octagon frame, and every stone across the pavé and princess-cut accents are hand-set at our Vietnam workshop and checked before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare on a bezel setting in particular — the rim protects the stone's edge in a way prongs don't, which is one of the practical advantages of this style.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

Moissanite stone re-setting or replacement: Charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier only. Never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we say so rather than promise a window we can't control.

Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you're covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who rub over your bezel, build the octagon frame, set the diagonal princess-cut row, and hand-plate the finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every bezel rim is finished by hand. Every princess-cut stone is checked flush before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A bezel setting with a faceted octagon frame is a different kind of demanding than a pavé build — there's less stone to hide behind. A rim that's rubbed unevenly, or an octagon facet that's a fraction off-angle, shows immediately on a clean, geometric surface in a way it wouldn't in a busy pavé field. We've done enough of these to know where the shortcuts cause problems. We don't take them.

FAQ

What are all the stones on this ring?

All Moissanite. The 7.0mm bezel-set center stone, the round pavé across the octagon frame and shoulders, and the diagonal princess-cut accent row are all GRA-certified Moissanite, Color D, Clarity FL, 58 facets. This is not a mixed-stone build. No CZ. No hybrid. José Lux states this clearly because it matters when you're deciding what you're buying.

What is a bezel setting, and why use it instead of prongs?

A bezel setting wraps a solid rim of metal completely around the stone's girdle instead of holding it with four or six prongs. There's no metal claw breaking up the outline of the stone, and the rim protects the stone's edge from knocks in a way prongs don't. It's a more demanding setting to cut cleanly — the rim has to be rubbed down evenly with no thin spots — which is part of why we hand-finish it rather than machine it.

What is Moissanite and how does it differ from diamond?

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale. It is not a diamond and we won't describe it as one. It has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light. A full bezel doesn't dim that fire; it just changes the frame the light comes through. If you want diamond, buy diamond. If you want a lab-created stone with strong fire and GRA documentation, this is a solid choice.

What is the octagon frame and diagonal stone row I see in the photos?

The center stone's bezel sits inside an octagon-shaped plate with flat, polished facets alternating with fine pavé trim — a geometric frame rather than a continuous pavé halo. Set into each shoulder is a diagonal row of princess-cut, square-faceted Moissanite running at an angle through the round pavé. It's a structural accent, not a stamped texture — you can see the angled line clearly in the profile-view photos.

What's the cutout underneath the ring, and does it help with finger marks and fatigue?

Yes. We cut the gallery underneath open in an ornamental lattice of overlapping oval lens shapes instead of leaving a solid metal plate. On a wide bezel ring, that open structure pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, so less flat surface stays in constant contact with the skin. The result is fewer indent marks on the finger after a few hours of wear, and less of the pinched, tired feeling a solid-backed wide ring causes over a full day. It also leaves the center stone visible from below — most bezel settings close it off completely underneath, ours doesn't. It's a functional detail as much as a decorative one, and you can see it clearly in the underside photo.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

What does the warranty cover?

This is a lifetime warranty, not a one- or two-year policy. Settings are built to hold, and stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — a bezel setting protects the center stone's edge better than a prong setting does. If a stone does come loose, replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never at retail, and re-setting labor is free. Rhodium re-plating is always free. What's not covered: impact damage — visible deformation of the band, the bezel rim, or the octagon frame from a drop or hard blow. José Lux inspects every case individually and communicates honestly.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order and sized specifically to your measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. There are no standard off-the-shelf sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we're upfront about that rather than promise a window we can't control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans rubbing over your bezel, building the octagon frame, and setting the diagonal princess-cut row have been doing bench work for years — some for decades. The workshop is ours, not a third-party factory. That's how we control the setting quality and the finish on every piece that ships.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs

1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?

Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.

2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?

The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.

Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.

3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?

Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.

4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?

Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

5. How long does it take to receive my order?

Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.

Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.

Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.

We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
