This is one of the more stone-heavy builds we run at the José Lux workshop. The Iced Out Cluster is exactly what it says: a wide band packed from center stone to shank with CZ, arranged across five shoulder rows and two rounded square halo frames. The face of this ring has almost no bare silver visible from the top. That is the build requirement, and it is what makes this one of our more demanding setting jobs.

The center is a GRA-certified Green Moissanite — 6mm, 0.8 carats. Around it, two square halo frames with softened corners run concentrically outward, both fully set with round brilliant CZ. The shoulder carries five rows of stone the full width of the band: four rows of round CZ flanking a single center channel of baguette-cut CZ that runs from the halo base to the shank. That baguette channel also feeds into the corner accent positions on the outer halo frame, tying the face and the shoulder into one continuous stone surface.

The band is wide. The shank is solid. The face sits high and flat on the finger. In any light source — overhead, directional, or natural — this ring returns light from every angle simultaneously. If you want a ring that reads iced, this is the build.

The Center Stone — Green Moissanite, 6mm, 0.8ct

The center stone is GRA-certified Green Moissanite — lab-created silicon carbide with a stable fancy green color treatment. 6mm diameter, round brilliant cut, 0.8 carats, 58 facets. The green reads deep and consistent across light sources. In direct light, the high-dispersion fire that Moissanite produces comes through the green base — color shifts visible from across a room.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that clearly because it matters when you’re deciding what you’re buying. It has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire — more color dispersion per facet, not less. It is its own material. If you want diamond, buy diamond. If you want a GRA-documented lab stone with a distinctive green and strong optical performance at the center of a fully iced band, this is a direct answer to that.

The ring ships with a physical GRA gemological certificate — unique report ID, traceable to your batch. Not a card. Not a QR code. The same documentation format used in professional gemological trade.

The Double Halo — Two Rounded Square Frames, Full CZ

Two square frames with softened corners run around the center stone. The inner frame is set with round brilliant CZ all the way around. The outer frame is also set with round brilliant CZ — with one deliberate detail: at the transition points where the outer halo meets the baguette channel running down the center of the shoulder, a baguette stone from that channel extends into the corner position of the outer frame. The halo and the shoulder share a stone line. The face reads as a single connected surface, not a head sitting on top of a band.

Both frames have their corners softened rather than hard right angles. That gives the head a pillowed, rounded-square footprint — architectural without being rigid. From the top, the two halo rings step outward from the Moissanite in two concentric rings of white CZ. Under any light source, those rings fire simultaneously with the center stone.

Setting two concentric frames at consistent stone depth, with the corners matched and the outer frame integrating into the shoulder row, takes more bench time than a standard single halo. That geometry has to be right or the face reads uneven. Our artisans have done this build enough times to know where the problems come from. They don’t shortcut the seat cutting.

The Shoulders — Five Rows, Round and Baguette CZ

Five rows of stone run the full length of both shoulders. Four of those rows are round brilliant CZ — two rows on each side of a center channel. The fifth row, running directly down the middle of the shoulder, is baguette-cut CZ set in a single straight channel from the halo base to the shank.

The baguette channel is the structural feature that connects the shoulder to the halo. The same rectangular stones that run the shoulder center extend into the outer halo frame at the corner positions, so the stone line is unbroken from the shank to the face. That continuity is what gives this build its ‘iced out’ read — no hard visual break between the shoulder and the head.

The four round CZ rows flanking the baguette channel fill the remaining shoulder width. Round stones catch light at more angles than baguette cuts. The combination of one straight baguette channel and four round rows produces a shoulder that reads structured down the center and active across the width. From the side, the shoulder steps up toward the halo in a clean, full-stone profile.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A five-row shoulder with a baguette channel, a double halo, and a center stone setting puts real load on the metal across the full face width. The blank we use on this build is gauged for that load. It does not flex. The stone seats hold position under daily wear because the metal underneath them is the right weight for the build.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring leaves our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated at the workshop and checked by the artisans who set the stones. Even coverage across the prong tips, the halo frame edges, the baguette channel walls, and the round shoulder rows — the points where machine-dipping leaves uneven spots on complex stone layouts like this one.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. A number of our customers re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline.

Re-plating at the José Lux workshop is always free. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Certification

Every ring ships with the physical GRA gemological certificate for the Green Moissanite center stone. Unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch. Color: Fancy Green. Cut: Round Brilliant. 58 facets. Physical certificate included — not a card, not a printout. The same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade.

Warranty & Repairs

Every prong on a José Lux ring is adjusted by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that is a result of how the prongs are set, not luck.

If a CZ stone in the halo or shoulder comes loose under everyday wear — no drops, no impacts — we reset it at no charge. No conditions. We import our Swiss-certified CZ in verified bulk lots. Resetting costs us bench time, not materials.

If the Green Moissanite center stone requires replacement, the charge is our Hong Kong supplier’s wholesale cost only — never retail. Re-setting labor is always free.

Rhodium re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What is not covered: stone loss from visible impact damage — a dropped ring, a bent band, a prong seat cracked from a hard blow. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost with a clear quote before anything is done.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The Iced Out Cluster is one of the heavier setting jobs we run — five shoulder rows, two halo frames, a baguette channel that connects the shoulder to the outer halo corner, and a center Moissanite that has to sit level inside all of it. Every stone seat is cut individually. Every prong is tensioned by hand. The baguette channel has to be straight. The round rows have to be even. The halo corners have to land at the same angle on both sides of the ring.

Some of our artisans have over 30 years of bench experience. They have done this build — and builds more demanding than this one — more times than we can count. The rings that leave this workshop are checked by the same people who set them. That is the standard we hold every piece to before it ships.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.

FAQ

What is the green center stone?

Green Moissanite — lab-created silicon carbide with a stable fancy green color treatment. GRA-certified, 6mm, 0.8 carats, round brilliant, 58 facets. It is not a diamond, not a green sapphire, not colored glass. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire — more color dispersion per facet. The green base color shifts how that fire reads in directional light. Surrounded by two rounded square CZ halo frames on a fully iced band, the center stone reads as the anchor of a lot of light return happening across the full face.

What makes this an ‘iced out’ build?

Stone coverage. The face of this ring is almost entirely CZ and Moissanite from the center outward — two halo frames, five shoulder rows, and a baguette channel that runs from the shank to the outer halo corner without a break. There is no section of the top face that reads as blank silver. In direct light, every stone fires simultaneously. That is what gives this build its iced read. It is not a styling claim. It is a result of the stone count and layout.

What is the baguette channel and what does it do?

The baguette channel is a single row of rectangular CZ stones running straight down the center of the shoulder on both sides, from the shank to the base of the outer halo frame. It is the structural centerline of the shoulder layout. The four rows of round CZ flank it on both sides. Where the baguette channel meets the outer halo, the corner stone of that frame is also a baguette cut — so the line is continuous. The shoulder and the halo share the same stone type at the connection point. That is why the face and shoulder read as one surface from the top rather than two separate sections.

What are the halo corners like?

Both halo frames use softened corners rather than hard right angles. The inner and outer square frames are slightly rounded at each corner — a pillowed square profile. This keeps the head from reading too rigid and lets the corner stones of the outer frame sit at a natural angle where the shoulder channel meets the frame edge. The overall footprint from the top is a rounded square, wide and flat.

What are all the non-Moissanite stones?

Swiss-certified CZ — cubic zirconia, premium grade, sourced from Switzerland and imported to our Vietnam workshop in verified lots with supplier documentation. The inner halo stones are round CZ. The outer halo stones are round CZ with baguette corner accents. The four flanking shoulder rows are round CZ. The center shoulder channel is baguette CZ. Every CZ stone on this ring comes from the same certified import batch. This is not mixed-source stone work.

How does this ring look on the hand?

Wide, high, and fully covered in stone. The rounded square face sits above the finger with presence — it is not a flat band ring. The green Moissanite at center is visible from a distance. In sunlight or overhead lighting, the full face fires — the Moissanite throws green-tinted color, the CZ halo and shoulder rows return white light simultaneously. The baguette channel running down the shoulder catches light differently from the round rows beside it, which gives the shoulder texture at different angles. This ring is built to be noticed.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. A number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions. When the finish starts to change, send it in and we take care of it.

What does the warranty cover?

CZ stone loss from normal daily wear: reset is free. No charge, no conditions, no questions. This covers every CZ stone on the ring — halo and shoulder. Moissanite center stone replacement: charged at our Hong Kong supplier’s wholesale cost only, never retail — labor always free. Rhodium re-plating: always free, no time limit. What is not covered: stone loss from visible impact damage — a bent band, cracked prong seat, or distorted setting from a drop or hard blow. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside warranty, we still fix it at cost with a clear quote before anything is done.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order, sized specifically to your measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart — provided at checkout. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop. There are no off-the-shelf stock sizes.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we say that rather than promise a window we cannot control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, a full refund is issued. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Setting a double rounded square halo with an integrated baguette channel and five shoulder rows is one of the more involved builds in our range. The artisans doing this work have been setting stones on the bench for years — some over 30 years. The workshop is ours, not a third-party factory. That is how we control the stone depth consistency, the corner geometry, and the finish quality on every piece before it ships.
