The geometry on this build is deliberate from edge to edge. The center is a 7.5mm round brilliant GRA Moissanite at 1.5ct — four-prong set, raised on its own platform. Around it, a square halo built from two distinct stone rows: baguette-cut Swiss CZ running parallel to each other along the four sides of the frame, and a row of round brilliant Swiss CZ tracing the outer edge of the halo closest to the band rail. Two rows, two cuts, one square frame. The inner baguette row sits tight to the center platform. The outer round row defines the halo perimeter against the shoulder below.

The shoulder extends in five rows across the full width of the band. The two outer rows — running along the top and bottom rail edges — are round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. The three center rows are baguette-cut Swiss CZ in flush channels, running the full length of the shoulder from center mount to shank. Not three individual stones. Three full rows of rectangular baguettes, each running wall to wall across the shoulder. From the side, the three baguette rows read as a wide horizontal block of structured light flanked by round CZ borders on both edges.

The shank is wide, polished, and clean — no stone coverage below the shoulder. That unset shank gives the fully-set shoulder visual elevation on the finger. From the top, the ring is stone across the entire face. From the side, every row is readable and distinct.

The Center Stone — GRA Moissanite

The center stone is a 7.5mm round brilliant Moissanite, 1.5ct, GRA certified. Color D. Colorless. Clarity FL. 58 facets. Four-prong set, each prong hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that directly. It is lab-created silicon carbide with a higher refractive index than diamond — which means more fire, more rainbow dispersion in directional light. At 7.5mm and 1.5ct, elevated inside a square halo on a five-row baguette shoulder band, that fire is visible in any lit room. If you want a ring that reads quietly, this is the wrong ring.

The GRA certificate for this stone documents: Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets. Physical certificate ships with your order. Unique report ID. Traceable to your specific batch.

The Square Halo — Two Rows, Two Cuts, One Frame

The halo is square — four straight sides, two stone rows running parallel to each other along each side of the frame. Here is exactly how it is built:

The inner row — the one closer to the center Moissanite — is baguette-cut Swiss CZ. Rectangular stones, step-cut, channel-set along each side of the square. They run parallel to the center stone platform, horizontal on the top and bottom sides, vertical on the left and right sides of the frame.

The outer row — the one closest to the band rail and the shoulder below — is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. This row traces the outer perimeter of the square halo frame, sitting at the edge between the halo and the shoulder rows.

What this produces visually: the baguette inner row gives the halo structure and defined geometry. The round outer row softens the transition from the halo frame to the shoulder with a border of round-cut light. From the front, the center Moissanite sits inside a square frame where the inner ring is step-cut and the outer ring is brilliant-cut. Two different light returns in the same frame. That is the Art Deco construction.

Setting both rows level and flush on all four sides — with corners that close cleanly — is demanding bench work. Our Vietnam workshop artisans set each side individually and verify both rows on all four sides before the halo moves to shoulder assembly. If either row reads uneven in direct light, it goes back to the bench.

The Shoulder — Five Rows, Three Full Baguette Channels

Each shoulder runs five rows from the shank edge to the center mount. The outer two rows — one along the top rail edge, one along the bottom rail edge — are round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. Between them, three rows of baguette-cut Swiss CZ run in flush channels. Each of the three baguette rows runs the full length of the shoulder — wall to wall, from where the halo frame ends to where the polished shank begins. Not three stones per row. Three complete rows of rectangular baguettes, each running the entire shoulder width.

The three-row baguette stack is the structural center of the shoulder. Baguette cuts are step-cut — parallel rectangular facets that produce clean, broad reflections rather than the point-source sparkle of a round brilliant. Three rows of them, stacked side by side, read as a wide horizontal block of mirrored light running through the middle of the shoulder on both sides of the ring. The two round pavé rows on the outer edges frame that block with a border of sparkle. The result from the side: round rail, baguette, baguette, baguette, round rail.

All stones — baguette and round — are premium-grade Swiss-certified CZ imported in documented lots from the Swiss source to our Vietnam bench. Not standard CZ. Each baguette seat is individually verified before the channel rail closes. Each round brilliant is hand-set and checked under direct light. Every row passes visual inspection before the ring moves to finishing.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. The blank on this build is gauged heavier than catalog versions of this setting. A raised solitaire platform, a two-row square halo frame, and five-row shoulders on both sides require a base that holds without flex under daily wear. The gauge carries all of it. The shank face is polished and unset — that clean shank is what gives the shoulder its visual height above the finger.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring leaves our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated and checked by the same artisans who set the stones. Even coverage across the center prong tips, both halo rows, all three baguette channel rails, and both round pavé rail rows — the points where machine-dipping consistently leaves thin spots.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier coat between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first replate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all factor in.

Rhodium replating at the José Lux workshop is always free. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Certification

The Moissanite center stone ships with the full GRA gemological certificate — Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets. Unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate. Same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade.

The Swiss-certified CZ — both halo rows and all five shoulder rows — is sourced under a verified supplier contract with lot documentation from import to bench. That documentation stays at the José Lux workshop.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on a José Lux ring is tensioned by hand before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens — no evidence of impact — here is how it works:

Moissanite center stone re-setting or replacement: charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only. Never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.

Swiss CZ stone re-setting — either halo row or any of the five shoulder rows: always free at the José Lux workshop. No charge, no conditions. We import these in volume. Reset labor is free. Stone cost is free.

Rhodium re-plating: always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible band deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we cannot control.

Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you are covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your GRA Moissanite solitaire, build the two-row square halo around it — baguette inner row and round outer row, all four sides — press three full-length baguette channels into each shoulder, set both round pavé rail rows, and hand-plate the rhodium finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every center prong is hand-tensioned. Every halo stone on both rows is individually verified. Every baguette seat depth is checked before the channel rail closes. Every pavé row passes visual inspection under direct light before the ring ships.

The two-row square halo is where this build demands the most from the bench. Two different setting types — baguette channel and round micro-pavé — running all four straight sides of the same frame. The baguette inner row has to be flush across all four sides. The round outer row has to be level and consistent around the full perimeter. Both rows have to close cleanly at each corner. If either row reads uneven in direct light, the ring goes back. The three baguette shoulder rows each run the full shoulder length — every stone in every row has to sit at the same depth. We've done enough of these to know exactly where the tolerances are. The rings that leave our workshop are within them.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.

FAQ

What is the center stone on this ring?

A single GRA-certified Moissanite — 7.5mm, round brilliant, 1.5ct. Color D, Clarity FL, 58 facets. Four-prong set on a raised platform inside the square halo frame, each prong hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop. The physical GRA certificate ships with your order — unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch.

How exactly is the square halo built?

Two rows running parallel on all four sides of a square frame around the center mount. The inner row — closest to the Moissanite — is baguette-cut Swiss CZ, channel-set. Rectangular step-cut stones running parallel to each side of the center platform. The outer row — at the halo perimeter, closest to the shoulder — is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. From the front: the center stone sits inside a square frame where the inner ring is baguette and the outer ring is round brilliant. Two stone types, two light returns, one square halo.

How many baguette rows are on the shoulder and how long do they run?

Three rows, each running the full length of the shoulder — wall to wall, from the halo frame to the polished shank. Not three individual stones. Three complete baguette channels, each one running the entire shoulder width on both sides of the ring. They stack side by side in the center of the shoulder, flanked by a round brilliant pavé row on the top rail edge and another on the bottom rail edge. Five rows total per shoulder.

What is the visual difference between the baguette and round CZ rows?

Both are Swiss-certified CZ from the same documented import lot. The difference is the cut. Round brilliant CZ has 57–58 facets arranged to produce sparkle — point-source light return from every angle. Baguette CZ is step-cut: parallel rectangular facets that produce clean, broad light reflections — more mirror-like, less sparkle. Three baguette rows stacked in the center of the shoulder read as a wide structured band of reflected light. Two round pavé rows on the edges add sparkle borders. That combination is what gives the shoulder its layered, geometric look.

What does the ring look like in person?

Wide, raised, and fully geometric. From the front: the 7.5mm Moissanite elevated inside the square halo, baguette inner row and round outer row visible as two distinct bands of stone. From the side: round pavé rail, three baguette rows running the full shoulder length, round pavé rail — five rows, readable and distinct. The shank below is wide and polished with no stone coverage. In any directional light, the baguette rows and the Moissanite center are both active. This ring reads from across a room.

What does Moissanite look like at 7.5mm / 1.5ct?

Large. At this diameter, the center stone carries the whole ring visually. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond — more fire, more color dispersion in directional light. Elevated inside a square halo above a three-row baguette shoulder, it throws strong rainbow dispersion in sunlight or overhead lighting. If you want something subtle, this is not the right ring.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any change is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years before the first replate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Replating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

What does the warranty cover?

If the Moissanite center stone comes loose under normal daily wear — no impact — replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never retail, and re-setting labor is free. If any Swiss CZ stone comes loose — either halo row or any of the five shoulder rows — the reset is completely free. No charge, no conditions. Rhodium replating is free for life. What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact, visible band deformation from a drop or hard blow. We inspect every case and communicate clearly. If a repair falls outside warranty, we still fix it at cost with a clear quote first.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order, sized to your exact measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. No off-the-shelf standard sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly rather than promising a window we cannot control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, a full refund is issued. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans setting your Moissanite solitaire, building both rows of the square halo, pressing three full-length baguette channels across each shoulder, setting the round pavé rail rows, and hand-plating the finish have been on the bench for years. Some have over 30 years of experience. The workshop is ours — not a third-party factory. That is how we control halo geometry, channel flush, row alignment, and finish quality on every piece that ships.
