The build starts at the center and earns its width. The main stone is a 8.0mm round brilliant GRA Moissanite at 2ct — four-prong set, raised on its own platform. Around it, a halo of round brilliant Swiss CZ traces the perimeter of the center mount, sitting flush and level, each stone set by hand. That is the top half of the visual.
Below the halo, the shoulder extends outward in three rows running the full width of the band. The top row is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. The center row is baguette-cut Swiss CZ — rectangular stones, table-cut, channel-set between two metal rails. The bottom row returns to round brilliant CZ in micro-pavé. Three rows, two stone shapes, one shoulder. The baguette center row is the detail that separates this build from a standard pavé band — it reads as a clean horizontal band of light cutting through the shoulder from both sides.

The shank is wide, polished, and flat-bottomed — substantial on the finger without bulk. The inner band carries a crosswork cutout pattern, visible in the underside photos, which reduces weight while keeping the ring structurally solid. This is the widest build in the José Lux men's range. On the finger, it reads accordingly.
The Center Stone — GRA Moissanite Solitaire
The center stone is an 8.0mm round brilliant Moissanite, 2ct, GRA certified. Color D. Colorless. Clarity FL. 58 facets. Four-prong set, each prong hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop.

At 8.0mm and 2ct, this is a large stone. In direct light — sunlight, overhead fixtures, a lamp across a room — it does not sit quietly. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire: more rainbow dispersion per facet than diamond produces at the same size. On a 2ct round brilliant, that fire is visible from a distance. This is not a ring for someone who wants understated. It is a ring for someone who wants presence.
Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that directly. It is lab-created silicon carbide — its own material with its own optical properties. It is not described as diamond-like, and we will not describe it that way. The GRA certificate documents what it is: Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant, 2ct. The physical certificate ships with your order. Unique report ID. Traceable to your specific batch.
The Halo — Round CZ Frame Around the Center
Around the perimeter of the center Moissanite mount runs a single halo of round brilliant Swiss CZ, micro-pavé set. Every stone in the halo is individually prong-set by hand. The halo has to be level — each stone at the same depth, none sitting proud or low relative to the others. At this center stone size, a halo that reads uneven is immediately visible. Our Vietnam workshop artisans verify every stone in the halo before the ring moves to shoulder-setting.

What the halo does visually: it makes the 8.0mm center read larger, and it creates a ring of light around the Moissanite that amplifies the fire the center stone is already throwing. From the front, the center stone and halo read as a single bright unit. From the side, the raised platform and halo frame sit clearly above the shoulder rows below.
The Shoulder Stones — Baguette Channel Center, Round Pavé Rails
Each shoulder runs three rows from the halo frame down to the shank edge. The top and bottom rows are round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé — each stone individually prong-set, running the full length of the shoulder. The center row between them is baguette-cut Swiss CZ in a flush channel — rectangular stones seated between two metal rails, table-face up, no visible prongs.

The baguette row is what makes this build read differently from a standard three-row pavé shoulder. Baguette cuts are step-cut — parallel facets that produce a clean, mirror-like light return rather than the sparkle of a round brilliant. Sitting between two rows of round pavé, the baguette channel reads as a structured band of reflected light cutting through the shoulder. From the front, the shoulder is bright. From the side, the three-row layering is clear — round row, baguette row, round row.
All shoulder stones are premium-grade Swiss-certified CZ, imported in documented lots from the Swiss source to our Vietnam workshop. Not standard CZ. Tighter facets. Better light return per stone. The baguettes are individually seated in the channel and each seat depth is verified before the rail closes. The pavé rows are prong-set stone by stone. Every row passes visual check under direct light before the ring goes to finishing.
The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver
925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. This is the widest build in our men's range. The blank is gauged heavier than what you find in catalog versions of this setting — it has to carry a raised solitaire platform, a halo mount, and three full rows of stones on each shoulder without flexing. The inner band carries a crosswork cutout pattern that reduces weight without reducing wall strength. The gauge and the cutout work together. The ring is wide without being heavy.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold
Every ring leaves our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated and checked by the same artisans who set the stones. Even coverage across the center prong tips, the halo prongs, the baguette channel rails, and the pavé rows — the points where machine-dipping consistently leaves thin spots or uneven buildup.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier coat and keeps the band bright and white-gold in appearance. Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first replate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all factor in.
Rhodium replating at the José Lux workshop is always free. No time limit. No conditions. You send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.
Certification
The Moissanite center stone ships with the full GRA gemological certificate — Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets. Unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate. Same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade.
The Swiss-certified CZ halo, baguette channel, and pavé rail stones are sourced under a verified supplier contract with lot documentation from import to bench. That documentation stays at the José Lux workshop.
Warranty and Repairs
Every prong on a José Lux ring is tensioned by hand before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens — no evidence of impact — here is how it works:
Moissanite center stone re-setting or replacement: charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only. Never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.
Swiss CZ stone re-setting — halo, baguette channel, or pavé rail: always free at the José Lux workshop. No charge, no conditions. We import these in volume. Reset labor is free. Stone cost is free.
Rhodium re-plating: always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.
What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible band deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we cannot control.
Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you are covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop
Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your GRA Moissanite solitaire, micro-set the halo ring around it, press the baguette CZ into each shoulder channel, set the two round pavé rows on each side, and hand-plate the rhodium finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every center prong is tensioned by hand. Every halo stone is individually verified. Every baguette seat depth is checked before the channel closes. Every pavé stone is set by hand. Every band is plated and checked by the person who plated it.
This is the most stone-dense build in the José Lux men's range. Three setting types on one ring: micro-pavé halo, baguette channel, and micro-pavé rail. Each has different tolerances. The baguette row has to be flush across its full length. The pavé rows have to align with the channel edges on both sides. The halo has to sit level at the correct height relative to the raised center. We have set enough of these to know exactly where the tolerances are. The rings that leave our workshop are within all of them.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured
Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
What is the center stone on this ring?
A single GRA-certified Moissanite — 8.0mm, round brilliant, 2ct. Color D, Clarity FL, 58 facets. Four-prong set on a raised platform, each prong tensioned by hand at our Vietnam workshop. The physical GRA certificate ships with your order. Unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch.
What is the halo on this ring?
A single row of round brilliant Swiss CZ runs the full perimeter of the center Moissanite mount, micro-pavé set. Each stone is individually prong-set by hand. The halo makes the 8.0mm center read larger and adds a ring of light around the solitaire. From the front, the center and halo read as one combined unit. From the side, the raised platform and halo frame sit clearly above the shoulder rows.
What is the baguette row on the shoulder?
Each shoulder runs three rows of stones. The center row is baguette-cut Swiss CZ — rectangular, step-cut stones in a flush channel between two metal rails. Baguette cuts produce a different kind of light return than round brilliants: clean, mirror-like reflections rather than sparkle. Between two rows of round pavé CZ, the baguette channel reads as a structured horizontal band of light cutting through the shoulder. That is the detail that separates this build from a standard pavé shoulder.
How many rows are on each shoulder and what are they?
Three rows per side, running the full length of the shoulder. Top row: round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. Center row: baguette-cut Swiss CZ in a flush channel. Bottom row: round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. Two stone shapes, three rows, one shoulder on each side. The layout is visible in both the front-view and side-view photos.
What is the difference between the baguette and round CZ stones?
Both are Swiss-certified cubic zirconia from the same documented import lot — same source, same grade. The difference is the cut. Round brilliant CZ has 57–58 facets arranged to maximize sparkle. Baguette CZ is step-cut — parallel rectangular facets that produce broad, clean flashes of reflected light rather than point-source sparkle. On this ring, the baguette channel sits between two round pavé rows. The result is a shoulder that has both types of light return — sparkle on the edges, clean flash in the center.
What does Moissanite look like compared to diamond?
Moissanite is not a diamond and we will not describe it as one. It is lab-created silicon carbide with a higher refractive index than diamond — which means more fire, more rainbow color dispersion in directional light. At 8.0mm and 2ct, this stone is large enough that the difference is visible. In sunlight or overhead lighting it throws strong rainbow flashes. If you want something that reads exactly like diamond, buy diamond. If you want a GRA-certified lab-created stone with strong fire at this size, this is worth knowing about on its own terms.
What does the ring look like in person?
Wide, raised, and layered. The 8.0mm Moissanite at 2ct has real visual weight on the finger. The halo amplifies it. The shoulder reads as three clean rows when you look from the side — round pavé, baguette channel, round pavé — with the baguette row catching light differently from the rows flanking it. The shank is wide and polished. From the top, the ring is dominated by the center stone. From the side, the three-row shoulder profile is the story. There is no blank silver anywhere on the face.
How long does the rhodium plating last?
Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any change is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years before the first replate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Replating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.
What does the warranty cover?
If the Moissanite center stone comes loose under normal daily wear — no impact — replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never retail, and re-setting labor is free. If any Swiss CZ stone comes loose — halo, baguette channel, or pavé rail — the reset is completely free. No conditions. Rhodium replating is free for life. What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact, visible band deformation from a drop or hard blow. We inspect every case and communicate clearly. If a repair falls outside warranty, we still fix it at cost with a clear quote first.
How does sizing work?
This ring is made to order, sized to your exact measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. No off-the-shelf standard sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly rather than promising a window we cannot control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, a full refund is issued. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans setting your Moissanite solitaire, micro-setting the halo, channel-pressing the baguette shoulder row, running the pavé rail rows, and hand-plating the finish have been on the bench for years. Some have over 30 years of experience. The workshop is ours — not a third-party factory. That is how we control the stone alignment, channel flush, prong tension, and finish quality on every piece that ships.
