Most wide band rings are flat across the face. This one is not. The band domes — it rises from the shank edge, peaks at the center, and tapers back down. What covers the dome is the detail that separates this build: six rows of round brilliant Swiss CZ running horizontally across the full width of the band, from rail edge to rail edge on both sides. Six rows of stone. No blank silver on the face anywhere below the shoulder.

The center is an 8.0mm round brilliant GRA Moissanite at 2ct — four-prong set, raised on a platform inside a square halo of round brilliant Swiss CZ. One row, four straight sides, running the perimeter of the center mount. The shoulder extends from the halo frame in three rows: round brilliant CZ above, baguette-cut CZ in a flush channel in the center, round brilliant CZ below. Three rows on the shoulder, six rows on the dome band below them. The profile view shows the full structure: center stone elevated above the halo, shoulder rows stepping down, then the six-row dome curving across the finger.

We've built a lot of fully-set bands. The domed profile adds a geometry challenge that flat bands do not have. On a flat face, every stone sits at the same plane. On a dome, the depth of each stone seat has to follow the curve. If any row is off, the dome reads uneven under direct light. Our Vietnam workshop team has done enough of these to know how to set them correctly.

The Center Stone — GRA Moissanite

The center stone is an 8.0mm round brilliant Moissanite, 2ct, GRA certified. Color D. Colorless. Clarity FL. 58 facets. Four-prong set, each prong hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that directly. It is lab-created silicon carbide with a higher refractive index than diamond — which means more fire, more color dispersion in directional light. At 8.0mm and 2ct, raised above a square halo on a six-row domed band, the center stone is the loudest point on a ring that does not have a quiet surface anywhere. In sunlight or overhead light it throws strong rainbow dispersion. This is not a subtle ring.

The GRA certificate documents: Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets. Physical certificate ships with your order. Unique report ID. Traceable to your specific batch. Not a card, not a QR code.

The Square Halo — Single Row, Four Straight Sides

Around the center Moissanite mount runs one row of round brilliant Swiss CZ forming a square frame — four straight sides, corner to corner. One row. Not a double surround. A single clean ring of round brilliants framing each side of the center platform.

The square format is visible in the front-view photos. The center stone sits inside a square of light rather than a round one — the straight sides of the halo give the center platform a more structured, architectural read. Each side of the halo has to be level at the same depth. The corners have to close cleanly. Our artisans set each side individually and verify all four before the ring moves to shoulder setting.

The Shoulder — Three Rows, Baguette Center

From the square halo frame, the shoulder extends in three rows on both sides of the center mount. The top row is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. The center row is baguette-cut Swiss CZ in a flush channel — rectangular step-cut stones seated between two metal rails, table-face flush, no visible prongs. The bottom row is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé again.

The baguette center row sits between two round CZ rows and runs the full shoulder width. Baguette cuts produce clean, broad light return — step-cut geometry that reads differently from the sparkle of the round brilliants flanking it. From the front, the baguette row reads as a structured band of reflected light separating two rows of sparkle. That three-row shoulder sits directly above the six-row dome, and the transition between the two zones is visible in the side-view photos.

The Dome Band — Six Rows of Round Brilliant CZ

Below the shoulder, the band curves into a dome profile — rising from the shank edges and peaking toward the center of the band face. Across that entire dome surface, six rows of round brilliant Swiss CZ run horizontally from rail to rail. Six rows. Every row the full width of the band. No blank silver between the rows. No polished metal visible on the outer face of the band.

Six rows on a domed surface is not the same as six rows on a flat face. Each row follows the curve of the dome, which means each stone seat has to be cut to the correct depth at that position on the curve. If a row is set too deep or too shallow relative to the curve, the line reads uneven when the light hits it. Our Vietnam artisans set each row across the dome in sequence and verify the depth and alignment before moving to the next. The finished dome reads as a continuous curved surface of round CZ — no gaps, no ridges, no uneven rows.

All stones across the six dome rows are premium-grade Swiss-certified CZ imported in documented lots. Not standard CZ. Individually prong-set by hand. Each row passes visual check under direct light before the ring moves to finishing.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural strength. The blank on this build is gauged heavier than catalog versions. A raised solitaire platform, a square halo frame, a three-row shoulder, and six rows of stone across a domed band put significant load on the structure underneath. The dome geometry itself adds structural complexity — the blank has to hold its curve under daily wear without flattening. The gauge carries it. The inner band carries a honeycomb openwork cutout pattern — visible in the underside photo — which reduces total weight while keeping wall strength consistent.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring leaves our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated and checked by the same artisans who set the stones. Even coverage is more demanding on a domed surface than a flat one — the dome has curves and edges where machine-dipping leaves thin spots. We hand-plate specifically to avoid that. The result is consistent coverage across the center prong tips, the square halo frame, the baguette channel rails, the shoulder pavé rows, and all six dome rows.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years before the first replate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all factor in.

Rhodium replating at the José Lux workshop is always free. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Certification

The Moissanite center stone ships with the full GRA gemological certificate — Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets. Unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate. Same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade.

The Swiss-certified CZ — square halo, shoulder rows, baguette channel, and all six dome rows — is sourced under a verified supplier contract with lot documentation from import to bench. That documentation stays at the José Lux workshop.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on a José Lux ring is tensioned by hand before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens — no evidence of impact — here is how it works:

Moissanite center stone re-setting or replacement: charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only. Never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.

Swiss CZ stone re-setting — halo, shoulder rows, baguette channel, or any of the six dome rows: always free at the José Lux workshop. No charge, no conditions. We import these in volume. Reset labor is free. Stone cost is free.

Rhodium re-plating: always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible band deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we cannot control.

Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you are covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your 8.0mm GRA Moissanite solitaire, build the square single-row halo around it, set three rows across each shoulder with a baguette channel in the center, run six rows of round CZ across the domed band face, and hand-plate the rhodium finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every center prong is hand-tensioned. Every halo stone is individually verified. Every baguette seat depth is checked before the channel closes. Every dome row is set in sequence and checked for depth consistency against the dome curve before the ring moves to the next row.

The domed band is where this build earns its bench time. Setting six rows of stone on a flat face is demanding. Setting six rows of stone on a curved surface requires each seat to follow the arc at that exact position on the dome — too deep and the stone sits below the curve, too shallow and it reads proud of it. Either way you see it immediately under direct light. We've done enough domed bands to know what that check looks like and what passes it. The rings that leave our workshop are the ones that do.

Your Ring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your ring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner ring box holds the ring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the ring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.

FAQ

What is the center stone on this ring?

A single GRA-certified Moissanite — 8.0mm, round brilliant, 2ct. Color D, Clarity FL, 58 facets. Four-prong set on a raised platform inside the square halo frame, each prong hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop. The physical GRA certificate ships with your order — unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch.

What is the domed band and why does it matter?

The band on this ring is not flat. It curves — rising from the shank rail edges toward the center of the band face, then back down. That dome profile is what you feel on the finger. Six rows of round brilliant Swiss CZ are set across the dome surface, following the curve. The dome gives the ring its visual depth and finger feel. It is visible in the side-view and profile photos — the band face is curved, not flat, with six stone rows following that arc from edge to edge.

How many rows of stone are on the dome band?

Six rows of round brilliant Swiss CZ, running horizontally across the full width of the domed band face on both sides of the center. Each row runs rail to rail — no gaps between rows, no blank silver on the dome face. Six rows. Setting them on a domed surface requires each stone seat to follow the curve of the dome. If any row is set at the wrong depth for its position on the curve, it reads off under direct light. Our Vietnam workshop sets each row in sequence and verifies depth and alignment before moving to the next.

What are the shoulder rows between the halo and the dome band?

Three rows per shoulder. The top row is round brilliant Swiss CZ in micro-pavé. The center row is baguette-cut Swiss CZ in a flush channel — rectangular step-cut stones, no visible prongs. The bottom row is round brilliant CZ in micro-pavé again. The baguette center row separates the two round CZ rows with a different light return — step-cut produces clean, broad reflections rather than sparkle. That three-row shoulder sits between the square halo above and the six-row dome below.

What is the square halo on this ring?

One row of round brilliant Swiss CZ running four straight sides around the perimeter of the center Moissanite mount, forming a square frame. One row. Four sides. Corners that close cleanly. The round Moissanite sits inside a square frame of light. The straight halo sides give the center platform a more structured look than a round halo. Each of the four sides is set individually and verified before the ring moves to shoulder assembly.

What does this ring look like in person?

Wide, domed, and fully covered in stone. From the front: 8.0mm Moissanite elevated inside the square halo, three shoulder rows stepping down on both sides, then six rows of round CZ curving across the dome face. In direct light, every surface — halo, baguette channel, shoulder pavé, dome rows — is active. From the side: the dome profile is clear, the stone rows follow the curve, and the center stone sits elevated above the whole structure. On the finger, the domed band has a rounded feel rather than a flat edge. There is no blank silver visible on the outer face.

What is the difference between the baguette and round CZ on this ring?

Both are premium-grade Swiss-certified CZ from the same documented import lot. The cut is different. Round brilliant CZ has 57–58 facets that produce sparkle — point-source light return from multiple angles. Baguette CZ is step-cut: parallel rectangular facets that produce clean, broad reflected light rather than sparkle. On this ring, baguettes appear in the shoulder center channel. Round brilliants appear in the halo, shoulder rail rows, and all six dome rows. The two light types layer across the full face of the ring.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any change is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to replate after five years. Some have reported eight years before the first replate. The dome profile means the finish has to cover a curved surface — that is why we hand-plate rather than machine-dip. Even coverage across a dome requires control that a dip process does not give. Replating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

What does the warranty cover?

If the Moissanite center stone comes loose under normal daily wear — no impact — replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never retail, and re-setting labor is free. If any Swiss CZ stone comes loose — square halo, shoulder rows, baguette channel, or any of the six dome rows — the reset is completely free. No charge, no conditions. Rhodium replating is free for life. What is not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact, visible band deformation from a drop or hard blow. We inspect every case and communicate clearly. If a repair falls outside warranty, we still fix it at cost with a clear quote first.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order, sized to your exact measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. No off-the-shelf standard sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly rather than promising a window we cannot control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, a full refund is issued. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans setting your Moissanite solitaire, building the square halo, setting the three shoulder rows, pressing the baguette channel, and setting all six dome rows across the curved band face have been on the bench for years. Some have over 30 years of experience. The workshop is ours — not a third-party factory. That is how we control the dome geometry, stone alignment, channel flush, and finish quality on every piece that ships.
