We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Round Center Ring is built around a 10mm round brilliant Moissanite in champagne — a genuine centerpiece stone, not an accent. It sits on four prongs, flanked immediately on each side by a large step-cut CZ accent stone, then a channel of baguette CZ running down each shoulder. Bordering the top and bottom edges of the face, on both sides, is a chevron pavé pattern — small round CZ set in a repeating V shape, not a straight row.

This is a mixed-stone build, and we say that plainly. The center stone is Moissanite — a fancy-color stone, not our standard colorless D-FL grade, and we grade and describe it as what it is. The flanking accents, the baguette channel, and the chevron pavé bordering both edges are all Swiss-certified CZ. We don't blend two stone types to cut cost — a chevron pattern needs stones cut to a consistent, exact size to keep every angle of the zigzag sharp, and Swiss CZ gives us that. The center is where we put the color and the GRA documentation.

Turn the ring over and the gallery underneath is cut open in an ornamental lattice, not left as a solid plate. On a band this substantial, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, which means less flat surface pressing into the skin and less of the pinching, fatigued feeling a solid-backed wide ring can cause over a long day of wear. It's what makes a heavily set build like this one comfortable enough to wear daily, not just for photos.

The Center Stone — 10mm Champagne Moissanite

The center stone is a 10mm round brilliant Moissanite in champagne — a fancy-color stone, not our standard colorless grade. Internally Flawless. 58 facets. Flanked by colorless CZ accents on both sides, the warm color of the center stone reads clearly against the rest of the build.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that plainly: it's its own material, lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with a higher refractive index and more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond has. In a fancy color like this champagne, that fire shows as warm, golden flashes rather than the white fire you'd see in a colorless stone. In direct sun or under any overhead source, the center stone is the first thing anyone notices.

Every center stone ships with its own GRA certificate: physical document, unique report ID, traceable to your batch at our Hong Kong supplier. Not a card. Not a QR code.

The Baguette & Chevron Pavé — Swiss CZ

The step-cut accents flanking the center stone, the baguette channel running down both shoulders, and the chevron pavé bordering the top and bottom edges are all Swiss-certified CZ — premium grade, imported in certified batches from Switzerland, not standard commodity CZ. A chevron pattern is unforgiving in its own way: every stone in the zigzag has to sit at the same angle and the same spacing as the one before it, or the V shape reads crooked instead of sharp. Swiss CZ's tighter cut tolerances are what keep that line clean from the center out to the shank.

We use CZ for the accents, the baguette channel, and the chevron pavé for a practical reason, not a cost one: a pattern this precise needs stones cut to an exact, consistent size, and Swiss CZ gives us that at the volume this build requires. The center stone is where the color and the GRA documentation go. The rest of the face is built to frame it.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A chevron pattern cut into the band alongside a baguette channel is a lot of precise geometry to hold under daily wear. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason — the pattern only stays sharp if the metal underneath it does.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. On a build with a chevron pattern this fine, that means even coverage into every angle of the zigzag and through the open gallery underneath — the points where machine-dipping pools in the corners or skips the recessed lines entirely.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on this ring — the four holding the center stone and every stone across the flanking accents, baguette channel, and chevron pavé — is hand-set at our Vietnam workshop and push-tested at 5 to 8 pounds before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's a result of how the stones are set, not luck.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone comes loose or falls out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your center stone, place the flanking accents, channel-set the baguettes, and lay the chevron pavé pattern have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every chevron row is checked against the one before it for a consistent angle before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A chevron pattern changes what the bench has to get right — every stone in the zigzag has to match the angle of its neighbor, row after row, or the pattern drifts and the V shape goes soft. We push-test every center stone at 5 to 8 pounds before it leaves the bench, the same standard we hold for every José Lux piece, patterned or plain.
