We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Round Center Halo Ring is built around a 10mm round brilliant Moissanite in blue-green — a genuine centerpiece stone, not an accent. It sits on four prongs inside a round pavé halo, raised on a stepped, faceted platform. Flanking that halo on each shoulder is a column of baguette CZ, bordered by rows of pavé CZ running the length of both rails down to the shank.

This is a mixed-stone build, and we say that plainly. The center stone is Moissanite — a fancy-color stone, not our standard colorless D-FL grade, and we grade and describe it as what it is. The halo, the baguette columns, and every pavé stone across the shoulders are Swiss-certified CZ. We don't blend two stone types to cut cost — a framed pavé shoulder needs a run of identically cut small stones to read as one clean, even line, and Swiss CZ gives us that. Turn the ring over and the gallery underneath is cut open in an ornamental lattice, not left as a solid plate. On a ring carrying this much stone across the face, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, which means less flat surface pressing into the skin and less of the pinching, fatigued feeling a solid-backed wide ring can cause over a long day of wear. The Center Stone — 10mm Blue-Green Moissanite

The center stone is a 10mm round brilliant Moissanite in blue-green — a fancy-color stone, not our standard colorless grade. Internally Flawless. 58 facets. On a halo build like this one, the center stone is doing almost all of the color work; the halo and baguettes around it are colorless CZ, which is what makes the blue-green center read as clearly as it does.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that plainly: it's its own material, lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with a higher refractive index and more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond has. In a fancy color like this blue-green, that fire shows as color-shifting flashes rather than the white fire you'd see in a colorless stone. In direct sun or under any overhead source, the center stone is the first thing anyone notices.

The Halo & Baguette — Swiss CZ

The pavé halo framing the center stone, the baguette columns on both shoulders, and the pavé rows bordering the rails are all Swiss-certified CZ — premium grade, imported in certified batches from Switzerland, not standard commodity CZ. A framed pavé shoulder is unforgiving in its own way: every stone in that line has to sit at the same height and spacing, right up against the baguette column beside it, or the panel reads uneven. Swiss CZ's tighter cut tolerances are what keep that field looking level from edge to edge.

We use CZ for the halo and pavé for a practical reason, not a cost one: a clean, framed pavé line needs a large number of identically cut small stones, and Swiss CZ gives us that consistency at the volume this build requires. The center stone is where the color and the GRA documentation go. The halo and pavé are there to frame it.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A 10mm center stone is real weight to carry on four prongs, and the stepped platform under the halo has to hold a crisp edge while the framed pavé stays level across both shoulders. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason — the geometry only holds if the metal underneath it does.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. On this build, that means even coverage across the stepped platform facets, the halo, the baguette columns, and through the open gallery underneath — all surfaces a machine dip tends to skip or pool on.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on this ring — the four holding the center stone and every stone across the halo, baguette columns, and shoulder pavé — is hand-set at our Vietnam workshop and push-tested at 5 to 8 pounds before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's a result of how the stones are set, not luck.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone comes loose or falls out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your center stone, build the halo, lay the baguette columns and pavé rows, and hand-plate the finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every pavé row is checked level against its baguette column before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A large solitaire on a halo build changes what the setting has to do — four prongs are carrying more weight and more visual attention than on a smaller stone, and a framed pavé line has no busy texture to hide an uneven row behind. We push-test every center stone at 5 to 8 pounds before it leaves the bench, the same standard we hold for every José Lux piece, large stone or small.
