We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Solitaire Pavé Ring is the simplest build in our range — deliberately. A 12.0mm round Moissanite sits on four prongs at the center of the face, flanked directly by a plain polished pillar on each side, with no channel, no halo, no baguette work between the stone and the pavé. Beyond that pillar, both shoulders carry a dense, even grid of round pavé, framed by a clean polished border. No stepped tiers, no ornamental cutouts on the face. Just a large center stone, a clean break, and a solid field of pavé.

Turn the ring over and the gallery underneath isn't solid — it's an open, cut lattice dome, the same comfort-focused construction we use across our wider builds. On a ring carrying a stone this large, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, which means less flat surface pressing into the skin and less of the pinching, fatigued feeling a solid-backed wide ring can cause over a long day of wear. It's what makes a ring built around a 12mm solitaire comfortable enough to actually wear daily, not just for photos.

The Center Stone — 12.0mm Moissanite, Color D

The center stone is a 12.0mm round brilliant Moissanite. Color D, Colorless. Internally Flawless. 58 facets. On a solitaire build, the center stone carries the entire ring — there's no halo, no channel, no secondary stone competing for attention. That's exactly why we hold this stone to the same colorless D-FL grade we use across our all-Moissanite pieces: at this size and with this little visual competition, a lower grade would be obvious immediately.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that plainly: it's its own material, lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with a higher refractive index and more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond has. On a clean solitaire setting like this one, that fire has nothing to share the stage with. It's the whole show.

Every center stone ships with its own GRA certificate: physical document, unique report ID laser-inscribed on the stone, carat weight equivalent and dimensions to 0.01mm, traceable to your batch at our Hong Kong supplier. Not a card. Not a QR code.

The Pavé — Swiss CZ

The dense pavé grid covering both shoulders is Swiss-certified CZ — premium grade, imported in certified batches from Switzerland, not standard commodity CZ. On a build this clean and geometric, an uneven grid shows immediately; there's no busy texture or channel to distract the eye from a stone sitting slightly off. Swiss CZ's tighter cut tolerances are what keep every row reading level and consistent from the center stone out to the polished border.

We use CZ for the pavé for a practical reason, not a cost one: a clean, even grid needs a large number of identically cut small stones, and Swiss CZ gives us that consistency at the volume this build requires. The center stone is where the size and the GRA documentation go. The pavé's job is to fill the shoulders evenly and let the solitaire do the talking.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A 12mm center stone is real weight to carry on four prongs, and on a build this simple, the polished pillar and pavé border have nowhere to hide an uneven cast — a plain polished surface shows every flaw a busier design could mask. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason, and we hold the polished surfaces to the same standard as the setting itself.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. On a build with large plain polished surfaces, even coverage matters in a different way than it does on a busy pavé field — any unevenness in the plating shows immediately on a smooth pillar or border in a way it wouldn't in a dense texture.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Size Chart

Certification

The center stone ships with its own GRA gemological certificate: Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets, with a unique report number laser-inscribed on the stone and traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate — the same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade. The Swiss CZ pavé ships with a material authenticity card confirming Swiss origin and lab-created status.

Warranty and Repairs

The four prongs holding the center stone and every stone across the pavé shoulders are hand-set at our Vietnam workshop and checked before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's a result of how the stones are set, not luck.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone comes loose or falls out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

CZ pavé stone reset: Always free. No charge, no conditions — we import these stones in volume.

Moissanite center stone re-setting or replacement: Resetting labor is always free. If the stone is physically lost, replacement is charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier only — never at retail.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we say so rather than promise a window we can't control.

Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you're covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your 12mm center stone, lay the pavé grid, and hand-plate the finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every pavé row is checked level before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A simple build like this one is deceptively demanding — there's no busy texture to hide a small mistake. A pavé row that drifts half a stone off-line, or a polished pillar with a soft edge, reads immediately on a design with this little going on around it. We've done enough of these to know where the shortcuts cause problems. We don't take them.

FAQ

What stone is the center stone?

A 12.0mm round brilliant Moissanite, Color D, Colorless, Internally Flawless, 58 facets. It's lab-created silicon carbide, GRA certified, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, the same colorless grade we use across our all-Moissanite pieces — carrying the whole ring on its own, since this is a solitaire setting with no halo or secondary stone.

What stones are in the pavé on the shoulders?

Swiss-certified CZ, round brilliant, set in a dense, even grid across both shoulders. This is a mixed-stone ring: Moissanite center, CZ pavé. We're upfront about that split — an even pavé grid on a clean, simple build needs a large volume of identically cut stones, and Swiss CZ's tight cut tolerances are what keep the whole field reading level.

Why is this called a solitaire ring if there's pavé on it?

The center stone is set alone, on four plain prongs, with no halo or accent stones framing it directly — that's what makes it a solitaire setting. The pavé is on the shoulders, doing its own separate job of filling the wide face, but it isn't part of the center stone's setting. It's a solitaire center on a pavé band, not a halo ring.

What is Moissanite and how does it differ from diamond?

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale. It is not a diamond and we won't describe it as one. It has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light. On a clean solitaire setting with nothing else competing for attention, that fire is the entire visual story. If you want diamond, buy diamond. If you want a lab-created stone with strong fire and GRA documentation, this is a solid choice.

What's the open gallery underneath, and does it actually help with comfort?

Yes. The gallery under the center stone is cut open in a lattice dome rather than left as a solid plate. On a ring carrying a stone this large, that open structure pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger — less flat surface in constant contact with the skin, which means less of the pinching or fatigued feeling a solid-backed wide ring can cause over a full day of wear. It's a functional detail as much as a decorative one.

How does the ring look in person and on the hand?

Clean, bold, and stone-forward. The 12mm center stone is the obvious focal point, with a plain polished pillar breaking cleanly into the dense pavé field on each shoulder — no busy texture, no competing details. In direct light, the Moissanite throws strong rainbow flashes at the center while the CZ pavé catches a flatter, brighter white sparkle around it. The rhodium plated white gold finish sits bright white and mirror-polished on every plain surface. It's a straightforward, confident ring rather than an ornate one.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

What does the warranty cover?

This is a lifetime warranty, not a one- or two-year policy. Settings are built to hold, and stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. CZ pavé stone resets are always free. If the Moissanite center stone is lost outright, replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never at retail — resetting labor stays free either way. Rhodium re-plating is always free. What's not covered: impact damage — visible deformation of the band or a prong seat from a drop or hard blow. José Lux inspects every case individually and communicates honestly.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order and sized specifically to your measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. There are no standard off-the-shelf sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we're upfront about that rather than promise a window we can't control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans setting your center stone, laying the pavé grid, and hand-plating the finish have been doing bench work for years — some for decades. The workshop is ours, not a third-party factory. That's how we control the setting quality and the finish on every piece that ships.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs

1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?

Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.

2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?

The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.

Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.

3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?

Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.

4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?

Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

5. How long does it take to receive my order?

Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.

Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.

Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.

We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
