We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Square Halo Iced Out Ring is built around a 7mm round brilliant Moissanite center stone. It sits on four prongs inside a square pavé halo, raised on a stepped, faceted platform. From there, the pavé doesn't stop at the halo — it runs wall to wall across both shoulders in a dense, even grid, edge to edge, with no blank silver anywhere on the face.

Every stone on this ring is GRA-certified Moissanite. Not a mix. Not CZ shoulders with a Moissanite center, or the reverse. The center stone, the halo, and every pavé stone across both shoulders are the same lab-created Moissanite, GRA-documented. We say that plainly because an iced-out build like this one is usually where brands switch to cheaper stones on the shoulders — we don't do that here.

Turn the ring over and the gallery underneath is cut open in an ornamental lattice, not left as a solid plate. On a ring this heavily set with pavé, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, which means less flat surface pressing into the skin and less of the pinching, fatigued feeling a solid-backed wide ring can cause over a long day of wear. The Center Stone — 7mm Moissanite, Color D

The center stone is a 7mm round brilliant Moissanite. Color D, Colorless. Internally Flawless. 58 facets. This is the same colorless D-FL grade we use across our all-Moissanite pieces. Set inside its own square pavé halo, the center stone is raised just enough to read as the focal point on an otherwise fully paved face.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We say that plainly: it's its own material, lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with a higher refractive index and more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond has. On a build this heavily set, that fire runs across the whole face, not just the center. In direct sun or under any overhead source, the entire ring throws light.

Every center stone ships with its own GRA certificate: physical document, unique report ID, traceable to your batch at our Hong Kong supplier. Not a card. Not a QR code.

The Halo & Pavé — Full Moissanite

The square pavé halo framing the center stone and every pavé stone covering both shoulders are the same GRA-certified Moissanite as the center — not CZ, not a substitute stone. A dense pavé grid this size is unforgiving in its own way: every stone in that grid has to sit at the same height and the same spacing, row after row, or the field reads uneven the moment light crosses it.

We could set the halo and shoulders in CZ, like most iced-out builds do, and most people wouldn't notice at a glance. We don't. Every stone on this ring is Moissanite because that's what "full Moissanite" means to us, not a label on a mixed-stone ring. The center is where the GRA certificate is issued; the halo and pavé are cut and graded to the same standard.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A fully paved face this dense is a lot of individual prongs and seats to hold level across both shoulders. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason — the geometry only holds if the metal underneath it does.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. On a build with this much surface coverage, that means even coverage across the halo, every row of the pavé grid, and through the open gallery underneath — all surfaces a machine dip tends to skip or pool on.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

The center stone ships with its own GRA gemological certificate: Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets, with a unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate — the same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade. Because the halo and pavé shoulders are the same Moissanite as the center, they're covered under the same batch documentation — not a separate material authenticity card for a different stone type.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on this ring — the four holding the center stone and every stone across the halo and both pavé shoulders — is hand-set at our Vietnam workshop and push-tested at 5 to 8 pounds before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's a result of how the stones are set, not luck.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone comes loose or falls out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

Moissanite stone re-setting or replacement (center, halo, or pavé): Resetting labor is always free. If a stone is physically lost, replacement is charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier only — never at retail.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your center stone, build the halo, lay the pavé grid, and hand-plate the finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every pavé row is checked level against the row beside it before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A fully iced-out build like this one is more demanding than it looks — every stone on the ring is the same Moissanite, so there's no cheaper filler stone to fall back on if a row runs short or uneven. We push-test every center stone at 5 to 8 pounds before it leaves the bench, the same standard we hold for every José Lux piece, large stone or small.
