We've been setting stones at our Vietnam workshop for over a decade, and this Wide Pavé Ring is one of the more architectural builds we run. The face isn't flat — it's stepped, terraced down from a raised square platform in the center out to the rails, with a thin beaded trim line marking each tier. A 7.0mm round Moissanite sits at the top of that platform, framed by a square halo, and every tier below it — face, shoulders, sides — is set wall to wall with round brilliant Moissanite.

Every stone on this ring is GRA-certified Moissanite. Not a mix. Not CZ center with Moissanite pavé, or the reverse. The center stone and every stone across the stepped tiers are the same certified Moissanite, wall to wall. We say that clearly because on a build with this many distinct positions — center, halo, tiers, shoulders — it would be easy to quietly swap in a cheaper stone somewhere and hope no one asks. We don't.

Turn the ring over and you'll see the part most rings hide. We cut the gallery underneath open in an ornamental pattern — overlapping circles and lens shapes, not a plain lattice — instead of leaving a solid plate. On a wide, tiered ring like this one, that open structure does real work: it pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, so less flat surface presses into the skin. That means fewer indent marks on your finger, and less of the pinched, tired feeling a solid-backed wide ring causes by the end of a long day. It's what makes a wide pavé ring comfortable enough to wear every day, not just for photos. We cut it clean at our workshop before anything else happens to the piece.

The Stones — Full Moissanite, Center to Edge

Every stone on this ring — the 7.0mm center, the square halo framing it, and every stone across the stepped tiers and shoulders — is GRA-certified Moissanite. Round brilliant. Color D, Colorless. Internally Flawless. 58 facets per stone. Each stone is lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale. The center stone sits raised on its own platform, lifted above the pavé field around it so it reads as a distinct focal point — but it's cut from the same certified batch as everything around it, not a separately sourced accent stone.

Moissanite is not a diamond. We'll say that clearly: it's its own material with its own optical properties. It produces more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light — than diamond. Across a stepped, tiered face like this one, that fire catches differently at every angle as the tiers change plane. In direct sun or overhead light, the whole face moves, not just the center stone.

Each ring ships with its own GRA certificate. Physical certificate, unique report ID, traceable to your specific batch. Not a card. Not a QR code. A gemological report in the same format used in professional trade documentation.

The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A stepped, tiered face is harder to cast clean than a flat one: every tier edge has to sit level, every beaded trim line has to stay sharp, and the raised center platform has to hold its shape under the prongs without flexing into the pavé below it. We use a heavier blank on this build for exactly that reason — the geometry only holds if the metal underneath it does.

The Finish — Rhodium Plated White Gold

Every ring comes out of our Vietnam workshop with a Rhodium Plated White Gold Finish applied by hand. Not machine-dipped. Hand-plated, controlled at the workshop level, checked by the same artisans who set the stones. On a tiered build, even coverage matters more than usual — there are more edges, more beaded trim lines, more prong tips, and an open gallery underneath for a machine dip to leave thin.

Rhodium is harder than the silver underneath. It sits as a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect how long it holds.

Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions. Send the ring in, we repolish and recoat, we return it at no charge.

Certification

Every ring ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for the Moissanite stones. Color D (Colorless), Clarity FL (Internally Flawless), Round Brilliant cut, 58 facets — with a unique report number traceable to your specific batch. Physical certificate. This is the same documentation format used in the professional gemological trade. One certificate covers the batch — center stone included, not sold or documented separately.

Warranty and Repairs

Every prong on this ring — the center halo and every stone across the tiered pavé — is hand-tensioned at our Vietnam workshop and push-tested at 5 to 8 pounds before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's a result of how the prongs are set, not luck.

This is a lifetime warranty. Not a one-year policy. Not two years. For as long as you own the ring.

If a stone does come loose or fall out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

Moissanite stone re-setting or replacement: Charged at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier only. Never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.

Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we fix it at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we say so rather than promise a window we can't control.

Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged, or an incorrect address at checkout — you're covered in full. You either receive your ring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your ring ships in two layers: the inner ring box holds the ring securely with a shock-absorbing layer underneath. The outer box protects everything in transit. Nothing shifts. Nothing impacts.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who set your Moissanite stones — center to edge — build the tiered pavé, cut the ornamental gallery, and hand-plate the finish have been doing this work for years. Some have over 30 years of bench experience. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every tier is checked level before plating. Every band is plated by hand, checked by the person who plated it.

A stepped, tiered pavé face is one of the more demanding builds in our range — not because of the stone count alone, but because every tier has to sit level and every trim line has to stay sharp across a face that changes plane multiple times, all in one certified stone. We've done enough of these to know where the shortcuts cause problems. We don't take them.

FAQ

What are all the stones on this ring?

All Moissanite. The 7.0mm center stone, the square halo around it, and every stone across the stepped tiers and shoulders are GRA-certified round brilliant Moissanite, Color D, Clarity FL, 58 facets. This is not a mixed-stone build. No CZ. No hybrid. José Lux states this clearly because it matters when you're deciding what you're buying.

What is Moissanite and how does it differ from diamond?

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale. It is not a diamond and we won't describe it as one. It has a higher refractive index than diamond, which means more fire — more rainbow dispersion in directional light. Across a stepped, multi-tier pavé face like this one, that fire catches differently at every angle as the tiers change plane. If you want diamond, buy diamond. If you want a lab-created stone with strong fire and GRA documentation, this is a solid choice.

What is the stepped, tiered face I see in the photos?

The face isn't flat. It rises to a raised square platform at the center, then steps down in tiers toward the rails, with a fine beaded trim line marking each step. It's a more demanding cast than a flat pavé face — every tier edge has to sit level and every trim line has to stay sharp — and it's why the profile has real depth from the side, not just from the top.

What's the cutout underneath the ring, and does it help with finger marks and fatigue?

Yes. We cut the gallery underneath open in an ornamental pattern — overlapping circles and lens shapes — instead of leaving a solid plate. It's cut at the workshop, not stamped. On a wide, tiered ring, that open structure pulls metal mass out from directly under your finger, so less flat surface stays in constant contact with the skin. The result is fewer indent marks on the finger after a few hours of wear, and less of the pinched, tired feeling a solid-backed wide ring causes over a full day. It's a functional detail as much as a decorative one, and you can see it clearly in the underside photo.

How does the ring look in person and on the hand?

Wide, tiered, and covered in stone. The center Moissanite sits raised above the pavé field on its own platform, and the tiers below it throw color across every plane of the stepped face as light hits it from different angles. The rhodium plated white gold finish sits bright white and mirror-polished. From the top, the ring reads bold and architectural — there's real depth to the profile, not just surface pavé. There is no plain metal, no empty ground — just stone, tier after tier. If you want subtle, this is not the right ring.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, a number of our customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have reported eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and exposure to chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

What does the warranty cover?

This is a lifetime warranty, not a one- or two-year policy. Prong settings are built to hold, and stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it does happen — no evidence of impact — Moissanite stone replacement is charged at our Hong Kong supplier's import cost only, never at retail, and re-setting labor is free. Rhodium re-plating is always free. What's not covered: impact damage — visible deformation of the band, the tiers, or a prong seat from a drop or hard blow. José Lux inspects every case individually and communicates honestly.

How does sizing work?

This ring is made to order and sized specifically to your measurement. We use our own José Lux size chart, provided at checkout. There are no standard off-the-shelf sizes. You measure using our chart, submit your size when ordering, and we build the ring to that measurement at our Vietnam workshop.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS shipping to the United States and Europe. Tracking is sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery: 7–14 business days to the US, 10–18 business days to Europe — customs adds time on that side, and we're upfront about that rather than promise a window we can't control. Every shipment is 100% insured at full order value. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.

Where is this ring made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans setting your Moissanite stones, building the tiered pavé, and cutting the ornamental gallery have been doing bench work for years — some for decades. The workshop is ours, not a third-party factory. That's how we control the setting quality and the finish on every piece that ships.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs

1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?

Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.

2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?

The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.

Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.

3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?

Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.

4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?

Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.

5. How long does it take to receive my order?

Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.

Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.

Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.

We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
