At José Lux, the 6mm Miami Cuban Link is the width we point first-time buyers toward. It’s the narrowest piece in our Cuban Link line, and the one most men end up wearing without taking off. Same build as our wider pieces — kite-shaped interlocking links, Swiss CZ hand-set on every face, rhodium plated white gold finish hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop — scaled down to a width that sits low on the wrist and doesn’t fight with a watch or a second piece on the same arm.

Nothing about this bracelet is left plain, even at the smaller scale. Every link face on the 6mm Miami Cuban Link carries hand-set Swiss CZ — the same full pavé coverage as our wider widths, just packed into a smaller link. 925 sterling silver underneath, rhodium plated white gold finish on top. Three sizes — 7.0 inch (18cm), 7.5 inch (19cm), and 8.0 inch (20cm) — cover most men’s wrists; the sizing guide below tells you which one is yours.

The Miami Cuban Link — What It Is and How It Wears

Cuban Link is built from kite-shaped links that lock into each other at a tight angle and lie flat once worn. Miami Cuban Link takes that base pattern and covers every link face in stones instead of leaving it polished and bare. On the 6mm version, each link is smaller than on our 7mm or 9mm pieces, so the stone clusters sit tighter together and the overall look reads more like a continuous line of light than a row of individual facets.

That’s the trade-off José Lux makes at this width: a little less sparkle per individual stone, a lot more density per inch. From across a room the bracelet reads as one bright, unbroken line rather than a chain of distinct stones — part of why this width works so well stacked next to a watch or a second bracelet without competing for attention.

6mm is the lightest option in the Miami Cuban Link line. It sits close to the wrist, slides easily under a shirt cuff, and suits men who want the Cuban Link look without the bracelet being the first thing someone notices.

Swiss CZ — Pavé Set, Stone by Stone

Every stone here is Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. Not a diamond, and José Lux doesn’t market it as one. Cubic zirconia is grown in a lab and cut specifically to maximize fire and brilliance, which is why it can match or exceed a diamond’s sparkle under direct light at a fraction of the cost.

Setting stones into a 6mm link is harder than setting them into a wider one — there’s less surface area per stone and less material for the prongs to grip. José Lux artisans hand-set each stone individually at this width rather than running it through a setting process calibrated for a wider link. That takes longer, and it’s why we don’t rush this size.

José Lux imports Swiss CZ in volume, which keeps the cost down and means re-setting any stone that works loose is free for as long as you own the bracelet — details in the warranty section below.

The Metal and Plating

925 sterling silver — 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper. At 6mm the link cross-section is smaller than on our wider pieces, so the copper content matters just as much for structural strength even though there’s less metal overall in each link.

The rhodium plated white gold finish is hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop, not machine-dipped. On a narrower link with this many stone settings, hand application is the only way an artisan can actually see what they’re plating — a machine dip doesn’t distinguish between a flat surface and a recessed stone setting the way a person with a brush does.

Rhodium is harder than gold and sits as a barrier between the silver underneath and the air. Conservative baseline: three years of daily wear before fading becomes noticeable. Many José Lux customers go five years or longer. Re-plating is always free at the workshop, with no time limit.

The Clasp — Hand-Finished Box Clasp with Safety Lock

The clasp scales down with the bracelet — a box clasp with a hinged safety latch, sized to match the 6mm link width and hand-finished at the José Lux workshop. The box locks over the terminal link; the latch folds down over the box afterward, so the closure has two points of security instead of one.

A narrower clasp has less surface area to hold tension, so José Lux hand-adjusts each one individually rather than applying a single tension setting across every width we make. It still closes and releases with one hand — lift the latch, press the box, the bracelet comes free.

Every clasp is tested at the bench before the bracelet ships. If the tension isn’t right, we adjust it before it goes out the door. If it can’t be adjusted, it gets replaced.

Sizing

Three sizes: 7.0 inch (18cm), 7.5 inch (19cm), and 8.0 inch (20cm). At 6mm, fit matters more than it does on a wider piece — a narrow bracelet that’s too loose tends to twist on the wrist instead of sitting flat. Size 7.5 is what most men order. If you’re between two sizes, size up slightly rather than down.

Unsure which size is yours? José Lux has a short wrist-measuring video on the product page — wrap a soft tape, or a strip of paper and a ruler, around your wrist just below the wrist bone, and match the number to the chart above. Takes under a minute.

Care

The rhodium finish protects the silver, but a fully paved bracelet at any width collects dust and skin oil between the stones over a normal day. Keep it away from chlorine, bleach, and strong household cleaners, and don’t spray perfume directly onto it — all three wear down the finish faster than ordinary daily use.

Wipe it down with the polishing cloth José Lux includes after wearing — under a minute, handles light surface residue.

For a deeper clean: warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, a soft brush worked carefully between the smaller 6mm links, rinse thoroughly, pat dry, and let it air dry fully before putting it away.

Warranty

José Lux wants this bracelet on your wrist for years, not in a drawer after the first few months.

Re-plating: always free, no time limit. The rhodium finish fades eventually — that’s expected with daily wear — and when it does, José Lux re-plates it at no cost.

Stone re-setting: every stone is Swiss CZ, imported in volume, so re-setting a stone that loosens under normal wear costs you nothing.

Clasp: a clasp failure from normal daily wear — no impact, no force — gets repaired or replaced. Tell us what happened and we’ll handle it.

What’s excluded: damage from a hard pull, a drop, or an impact. We look at each case individually and tell you exactly what we see before quoting anything.

Shipping

Free USPS to the US and Europe, tracked from the day it ships. Most orders land in 7–14 business days; European customs can occasionally add time, and José Lux would rather tell you that upfront than promise a date we can’t guarantee.

Every order is insured at full value. Lost, delayed, damaged, or sent to the wrong address because of a checkout error — you’re covered either way, with a full refund.

Packaging: an anti-shock inner box inside an outer gift box, plus a silver polishing cloth and a José Lux warranty card from the workshop.

Our Workshop

José Lux is based in Vietnam. The artisans setting your stones and plating your bracelet have done this for years — long enough to know that a 6mm link takes more attention at the bench than a wider one, not less.

Smaller links mean smaller margins everywhere: less room for each stone, less surface for the clasp to grip, less material to cover evenly during plating. Cheap versions of this width tend to show it within the first few months — stones that work loose, plating that wears thin first at the joints. José Lux builds this size with the same care we put into the wider pieces. It just takes more time per inch to get there.

Your bracelet arrives protected — Two-layer box packaging, USPS insured

Your bracelet ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the bracelet securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the bracelet itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before it goes into the box — so there’s no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your bracelet in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That’s the José Lux standard.

FAQ

What is a Miami Cuban Link bracelet?

It’s a Cuban Link pattern — interlocking kite-shaped links — set with stones across every link face instead of left bare. The 6mm version uses José Lux’s smallest link size, which packs the pavé Swiss CZ tightly together and reads as a continuous bright line on the wrist rather than individual stones.

How is the 6mm different from José Lux's 7mm and 9mm Cuban Link bracelets?

Mainly width and how much presence it has on the wrist. The 6mm has the smallest link in the line, so it sits lower-profile and stacks easily with a watch or another bracelet. The 7mm adds visible weight without becoming bulky. The 9mm is built to stand on its own as a statement piece. All three use the same Swiss CZ pavé, 925 sterling silver, and rhodium plated white gold finish — the difference is purely how much bracelet you want on your wrist.

Are the stones diamonds?

No. Every stone is Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia. José Lux states that plainly and won’t claim otherwise, even though the cumulative sparkle across a fully paved bracelet is significant. If you want a center-stone Moissanite piece instead, José Lux carries that line separately.

What sizes does this bracelet come in?

Three sizes: 7.0 inch (18cm), 7.5 inch (19cm), and 8.0 inch (20cm). Size 7.5 is what most men order. Fit matters more at 6mm than on a wider bracelet — if you’re between sizes, size up so it sits flat instead of twisting on the wrist. José Lux has a short wrist-measuring video on the product page if you want to double-check before ordering.

How does the clasp work?

A box clasp with a hinged safety latch, scaled down to match the 6mm link and hand-finished at the José Lux workshop. The box locks over the terminal link, the latch folds over it for a second point of security, and the whole thing releases with one hand — lift the latch, press the box, done. Every clasp is bench-tested before the bracelet ships.

How does the rhodium plating work and how long does it last?

Hand-applied at the Vietnam workshop, not machine-dipped — the only way to get even coverage across a link this small. Conservative baseline is three years of daily wear before fading. Many customers report five years or more. Re-plating is always free, with no time limit.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS to the US and Europe, with tracking sent the day it ships. Estimated 7–14 business days; European customs can occasionally add time. Every shipment is 100% insured, including coverage for an incorrect delivery address.

Where is this bracelet made?

Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. Setting Swiss CZ into a 6mm link by hand takes more patience than the wider widths, not less — it’s the same artisans, just working at a smaller scale.
