José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. This earring has two parts that do different things. The huggie hoop is plain, polished silver — clean, round, no stone work. The cross pendant that hangs from it is fully covered in Moissanite, set on every arm. The two pieces move independently. The cross swings on a jump ring connector when the earring is on. When it catches light from the side, from below, from any angle the pendant faces, the Moissanite fires.

This is sold as one earring. Most men wear a single piece. The price is for one. If you want two, order two.

The Cross Pendant — Full Moissanite, Flared Arms, Micro-Pavé

The cross pendant is the stone work. Every arm — top, bottom, left, right — is covered in round brilliant Moissanite in a micro-pavé setting. The arms are flared: wider at the ends than at the center intersection, which means more stone surface at each tip. The center intersection has its own stone coverage. There is no plain silver visible on the face of the cross. The entire front surface is Moissanite.

Every stone is Moissanite — lab-created silicon carbide. Not diamond. More fire than diamond, which means stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. On a pendant that moves, that fire is not static: it shifts as the cross swings, catching and releasing light differently at each angle. A dangle earring with full Moissanite coverage behaves differently from a stud. It reads in motion.

The cross silhouette itself matters. The flared arm tips and the center taper give it a shape that reads at distance. It is not a plain geometric cross. The arm profile creates a specific outline. At earring size, on a male ear, it reads as deliberate and controlled rather than decorative.

Every Moissanite stone in the cross pendant is individually hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. Each stone is seated in a micro-pavé cut directly into the silver, held by beaded prongs between adjacent stones. The arm tips and the corner transitions at the center intersection require careful stone sizing and placement. Each section of the cross is checked individually under magnification before the pendant is assembled and the earring ships.

The Huggie Hoop

The hoop is a standard huggie: round, plain polished silver, no stone setting. The plain hoop is the right choice here — the pendant is the visual element. A stone-set huggie under a fully paved cross would compete with the pendant rather than frame it. The plain hoop holds the ear quietly. The cross does the work.

The hoop closes with a hinged clasp at the base. The clasp snaps shut with a firm click and does not release without deliberate pressure on both sides. It does not open accidentally during wear, exercise, or sleep. The inner surface of the hoop is smooth, polished silver — no prong edges or setting cuts against the earlobe.

The jump ring that connects the cross pendant to the hoop is hand-closed and checked for gap before the earring ships. A jump ring with a gap is a pendant that can be lost. We close it fully. The pendant movement is free — it swings and rotates on the ring — but the connection is secure.

The Clasp — Hand-Finished, Solid, Openable

The huggie closes with an integrated hinged clasp at the base of the hoop. The clasp is hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop. The release mechanism is a latch that requires deliberate pressure to open — it does not release from the movement of the pendant swinging or from contact with hair or clothing.

The clasp is fully openable for cleaning. Unclip it, remove the earring from your ear, clean the inner surface of the hoop and the hinge point, close and reclip. The mechanism is built to be operated daily for years. If the hinge develops a fault under normal use, José Lux repairs it free of charge.

The clasp and hoop are 925 sterling silver throughout. No coated brass at the closure point. The metal at every contact surface is the same material as the rest of the earring.

The Metal and Plating

The hoop, clasp, jump ring, and cross pendant are all 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. Every earring receives a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. Hand application gives even coverage across both components: the curved inner and outer surfaces of the hoop, and the detailed surface of the Moissanite cross pendant with its individual bead prongs and arm-tip geometry.

Rhodium is harder than silver and sits as a barrier between the metal and the air. It keeps the surface bright white and resists tarnish. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline.

Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.

Warranty and Repairs

Every Moissanite stone in the cross pendant is hand-seated and individually inspected before this earring ships. The jump ring is hand-closed and checked. The clasp is tested. Stone loss from normal daily dangle earring wear is extremely rare when the setting work is done correctly. That’s the standard we hold.

If a stone comes loose under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

  • Moissanite pendant stones: Re-setting labor is always free. If a stone needs replacement, charged at our Hong Kong import cost only — never at retail.
  • Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
  • Hinge or clasp repair: If the mechanism fails under normal daily use, we repair it free of charge.

What’s not covered: stones lost or prongs bent from hard physical impact — an earring dropped from height, the pendant struck against a hard surface, or visible deformation from a fall. José Lux inspects every case individually and tells you honestly what we see. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.

Shipping

Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can’t control.

Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you’re covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earring in perfect condition or you get your money back.

Your earring ships in two layers: the inner box holds both pieces — hoop and pendant assembled — securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The bench artisans who hand-set the Moissanite on every arm of this cross pendant, close the jump ring, plate the silver, and test the clasp have been doing this work for years. Every stone is individually seated. Every jump ring gap is checked. Every clasp is opened and closed under load before the earring ships.

A cross pendant with full Moissanite coverage looks clean in product photos. Getting the micro-pavé consistent across all four arms, handling the corner geometry at the center intersection, keeping the flared arm tips fully covered without stone crowding at the edges, and then hand-closing a jump ring that has to hold for years of daily wear — that’s bench work. Done correctly on every piece. We’ve done enough of these to know exactly where cheaper versions fail: arm tips with missing stones, center intersections that gap under magnification, jump rings that open after a few months. Ours don’t, because the work is done right from the start.

Your Earring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box, USPS Insured

Your earring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the piece securely in position. The outer box takes the transit damage so the inner box doesn't have to. Before it goes into the box, the earring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer — no movement, no contact, nothing shifts from our workshop to your door.

Shipping is via USPS with 100% insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — we cover it in full. If an incorrect address was entered at checkout, José Lux refunds you completely. You either receive your earring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That is the José Lux standard.

FAQ

This is listed as one earring. Can I order two?

Yes. Add two to your cart. We list it as one piece because that’s how most men wear it — one ear. Forcing a pair purchase when you want a single is a common industry practice. We don’t do it.

How does the cross attach to the hoop?

The cross pendant connects to the hoop through a 925 sterling silver jump ring. The ring is hand-closed at our workshop — no gap, checked before the earring ships. The pendant hangs freely and rotates on the ring. It swings with movement. The connection is solid: you cannot pull the cross off the hoop without opening the jump ring with a tool.

Does the cross pendant move when worn?

Yes. It hangs from a jump ring and swings freely. That movement is part of the design. When you turn your head or the earring catches light from different angles, the pendant rotates and catches light differently across its Moissanite surface. A pendant that doesn’t move reads as a stud. This one moves. If you want a static cross, we make a cross stud. This earring is the dangle version.

What is Moissanite? Is it a diamond?

No. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide — a different material with its own optical properties. It has more fire than diamond, meaning stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. On a pendant that moves, that fire shifts as the cross rotates. That’s the optical character of Moissanite and it’s the reason we use it on this pendant design.

Does Moissanite degrade over time?

No. Moissanite is silicon carbide — a stable material that does not degrade optically. The stones on this pendant look the same in ten years as on day one. This is a material property, not a warranty claim.

How does the huggie clasp open and close?

The hinge sits at the top of the hoop. The clasp snaps shut at the base with a firm click. To open, apply deliberate pressure to both sides of the clasp simultaneously — it releases cleanly. To close, press the two halves together until you feel and hear the click. It does not open accidentally. The mechanism is hand-finished and tested before every earring ships.

Can I clean the cross pendant properly?

Yes. Open the clasp, remove the earring, and detach the pendant from the hoop if needed by gently opening the jump ring with fine pliers. Clean the pendant with a soft brush and mild soapy water, working the bristles around and between the Moissanite stones on each arm. Clean the hoop inner surface the same way. Rinse thoroughly. Dry fully before reassembling. The micro-pavé on the cross arms is accessible — the stones are set into the surface, not enclosed. A polishing cloth ships with every order.

Is the jump ring secure? Will the pendant fall off?

The jump ring is 925 sterling silver, hand-closed at our workshop, and checked for any gap before the earring ships. A closed jump ring cannot open under normal wear — it requires deliberate tool pressure to open. The pendant will not fall off from movement, sleep, or exercise. If the jump ring is ever damaged, we replace it free of charge under the warranty.

How long does the rhodium plating last?

Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at our workshop — no time limit, no conditions. Whenever it’s needed, we handle it.

What does the warranty cover?

Moissanite re-setting labor is always free. Replacement stones at Hong Kong import cost only — never retail. Rhodium re-plating always free. Hinge and clasp repair under normal use free. Jump ring replacement free. What’s not covered: visible deformation from a drop or hard impact. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.

How does shipping work?

Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
