José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. The Flower Clip-On is one of the most stone-dense designs we make — a five-petal flower cluster where every petal carries its own Moissanite, each stone individually set in a hand-built prong mount, the whole flower bordered by a continuous row of Swiss CZ micro-pavé. That's five GRA-certified Moissanite stones per earring. Ten stones total for the pair.

The clip-on closure on this earring is built at our Vietnam workshop from sterling silver. It's a hinged lever-back mechanism — not the cheap friction type that loosens over time. The hinge opens cleanly, closes with a firm click, and can be fully detached from the earring body for cleaning. That's deliberate. A design this dense with stone coverage needs to be cleanable without compromise. The closure makes that possible.
What you're looking at in the images: the full face of the flower cluster from the front, the side profile showing the clip mechanism open and the earring body from the back angle, and a three-quarter view showing both earrings together with the stone coverage across the full petal structure. The scale in hand gives you the actual size — this earring reads large on the ear. It's meant to.
The Five Moissanite Stones — One Per Petal
Each petal of the flower carries one GRA-certified Moissanite. Five petals. Five stones. Color D, Clarity FL on every stone — colorless and internally flawless across the full cluster. Round brilliant cut, 58 facets per stone.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide. It is not a diamond and José Lux won't tell you it is. It has its own optical properties — more fire than diamond, which means stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. On a five-stone cluster design, that fire multiplies. Each petal catches light independently. When the earring moves, the five stones don't flash together — they fire at different angles, at different moments. That's what makes this design look the way it does in motion.
Every stone ships with its own GRA certificate carrying a unique report ID traceable to your specific stone. Ten certificates per order — one per stone, two earrings. Physical certificate. Not a card.
The Swiss CZ Halo Border
The outer edge of each petal is set with a continuous row of round micro-pavé Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, lab-created, sourced from Switzerland. Their job is specific: they define the petal outline, they add width to the silhouette, and they extend the sparkle zone beyond the Moissanite centers without competing with them.
Swiss CZ is not Moissanite. It doesn't have the same fire. What it does have — when sourced well and set correctly — is clean, consistent brightness that frames the main stones without pulling attention. José Lux selects Swiss CZ that color-matches the D-grade Moissanite. From a normal wearing distance, the transition between stones is seamless. Up close, the Moissanite fires and the CZ holds steady.
Each CZ stone is hand-set at our Vietnam workshop. The petal border requires the stones to follow a curved rail — each one has to be positioned individually, not dropped into a straight channel. That's more bench time per earring. It's how the petal silhouette reads as clean and full rather than gapped or irregular.
The Clip-On Closure — Hinged Sterling Silver Mechanism
The closure is a hinged lever-back clip, built entirely from 925 sterling silver. This is not a glued or pressed assembly. Every component — the hinge, the lever arm, the back plate — is fabricated from silver and assembled by hand at our Vietnam workshop.

The mechanism works as follows: the lever arm opens by pressing the tab at the base. The earring then sits against the earlobe. The lever closes back down and locks the earring in position. Closed, the clip holds firmly — no lateral movement, no gradual loosening during wear. The closure is designed for a full day of wear without adjustment.
The lever-back is fully detachable from the earring body. The attachment point between the clip mechanism and the flower cluster separates cleanly. This matters for cleaning. A design with this level of stone density — five prong-set Moissanite centers, plus a continuous CZ pavé border — accumulates residue between the settings. Being able to fully detach the closure means you can clean the earring face thoroughly without working around an obstruction. Reattachment is secure. The connection point is a fitted joint, not a temporary clip.
The clip-on design makes these earrings accessible to anyone — no piercing required. The back mechanism is visible in the side and rear images. The lever construction is clean, proportional to the earring face, and sits flush against the ear when closed.
The Metal and Plating
The entire earring body — petal frame, prong mounts, hinge assembly, lever arm — is 925 sterling silver. 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. The prong mounts holding five Moissanite stones need to be in properly gauged silver. Underweight silver flexes. Flexing prongs lose tension. José Lux uses the right blank thickness for a stone-dense design like this one.
Every earring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. The artisans doing this work have been plating silver for years. Hand application gives more even coverage at the complex detail points — the individual prong tips, the pavé CZ rail curves, the hinge joints on the closure mechanism. Machine dipping misses these.
Rhodium is harder than gold and creates a barrier between the silver and the air. Conservative baseline for this finish: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. In practice, many José Lux customers come back to re-plate after five years. Some have gone eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.
Certification

Every pair ships with the full GRA gemological certificate for each Moissanite stone. Five stones per earring, two earrings — ten physical certificates per order. Each report confirms Color D, Clarity FL, Round Brilliant cut, and carries a unique report number traceable to your specific stone. Physical certificate. Not a card.

This is the same certificate format used in professional gemological documentation. Each stone ID is unique. If you ever want to verify any stone independently, the certificate gives you everything you need to do that.
Warranty and Repairs
Every prong on a José Lux earring is hand-adjusted for tension before the piece ships. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. That's by design, not luck.
If a stone does come loose under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
- Swiss CZ halo stones: Re-setting or replacing accent stones is always free. José Lux imports CZ in volume and absorbs the cost entirely.
- Moissanite center stones: Re-setting labor is always free. If a stone needs replacement, charged at our Hong Kong import cost — never at retail.
- Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — an earring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible prong deformation from a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually and communicates honestly about what's observed. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we'll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can't control.
Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you're covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earrings in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your earrings ship in two layers: the inner box holds the earrings securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit. Inside: the GRA certificates, a silver polishing cloth, and a José Lux workshop warranty card.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set the Moissanite stones, hand-set the Swiss CZ border, build and assemble the clip-on closure from sterling silver, and hand-plate every surface have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online.
A five-petal flower cluster is a demanding setting format. Each petal requires its own Moissanite mount, its own CZ border rail, and its own integration into the flower frame. Every prong is adjusted by hand. Every CZ stone follows the petal curve individually. The clip closure is fabricated and attached by hand, then tested for tension and lock security before the earring ships. This is José Lux's own workshop, not a third-party factory. The origin isn't a footnote — it's the reason the craft is consistent.
Your Earrings Arrive Protected — Two-Layer Box Packaging, USPS Insured

Your earrings ship in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds each earring securely in place. The outer box protects everything during transit. On top of that, the earrings themselves are wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer before they go into the box — so there's no movement, no impact damage, nothing shifts in transit.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% jewelry insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, damaged — we cover it. Even if an address was entered incorrectly at checkout, José Lux refunds you in full. You either receive your earrings in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That's the José Lux standard.
FAQ
Are these earrings for pierced or non-pierced ears?
Non-pierced. The closure is a hinged lever-back clip-on — no post, no piercing required. The clip opens by pressing the lever tab, the earring body sits against the earlobe, and the lever closes down and locks. It holds firmly throughout the day without adjustment. If you have pierced ears and prefer a post, this earring is not the right option — the closure is clip-only and is not convertible.
How does the clip-on closure work, and can I remove it for cleaning?
The closure is a hinged lever-back mechanism built entirely from 925 sterling silver at our José Lux workshop. It opens, the earring rests against the ear, and the lever locks back down with a firm click. Closed, there's no lateral movement. The key detail: the clip mechanism detaches fully from the earring body. This was a deliberate design decision. A flower cluster with five prong-set Moissanite stones and a continuous CZ pavé border accumulates residue in the settings. Being able to separate the closure from the face means you can clean every surface properly. Reattachment is secure — fitted joint, not a press fit that degrades over time.
How many stones are in each earring?
Five Moissanite stones per earring — one stone per petal, five petals per flower. That's ten GRA-certified Moissanite stones for the pair. Each stone is Color D, Clarity FL. Each stone has its own GRA certificate with a unique ID. In addition to the five Moissanite centers, each earring has a continuous row of Swiss CZ micro-pavé running along the outer edge of every petal. That's the border you see in the images — it defines the petal silhouette and adds a second layer of sparkle around each Moissanite center.
What is the difference between the Moissanite and the Swiss CZ on this earring?
The five Moissanite stones are the main event — one per petal, GRA-certified, Color D-FL, with the fire and brilliance that Moissanite is known for. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide and has more dispersion than diamond — meaning stronger rainbow flashes in directional light. The Swiss CZ is the border material — lab-created cubic zirconia sourced from Switzerland. CZ is brighter and cleaner than low-grade stones, but it doesn't have the same fire as Moissanite. Its job on this earring is to define the petal outline and extend the sparkle zone. José Lux selects Swiss CZ that color-matches the D-grade Moissanite so the two materials read as one continuous cluster at normal wearing distance.
How does this earring look in person?
Large. The five-petal flower cluster covers significant surface area on the ear — this earring is designed to be seen. In direct sunlight, the five Moissanite centers fire independently, each one throwing rainbow color at its own angle. The Swiss CZ border adds consistent brightness around the outer edge. The rhodium plated white gold finish reads mirror-bright across the entire face. The lever-back clip sits close to the ear when closed — the back mechanism is compact relative to the earring face. If you want something understated, this is not it. The scale and the stone coverage are the point.
How long does the plating last?
The rhodium plated white gold finish is hand-applied at our Vietnam workshop — not machine-dipped. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many of our customers re-plate after five years. The longest recorded at José Lux before a first re-plate: eight years of daily wear. Skin chemistry, how often you wear them, and whether you take them off around chemicals all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. Whenever the time comes, we take care of it.
What does the warranty cover?
Prong settings on José Lux earrings are built to hold — stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare. If it happens with no evidence of impact damage: Swiss CZ stones are re-set for free, no exceptions. Moissanite re-setting labor is always free; replacement stone is charged at our Hong Kong import cost only, never at retail. Re-plating is always free, no time limit. What's not covered: visible prong deformation from a drop or hard impact. José Lux inspects each case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux is honest about that rather than promising a window we can't control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where are these earrings made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans who set the five Moissanite stones per earring, hand-set the Swiss CZ petal border, build the lever-back closure from silver, and hand-plate every surface have been doing this work for years. Setting a five-stone cluster with a continuous CZ border and attaching a functional hinged closure requires more bench time than most earring designs. This is José Lux's own workshop. The craft is consistent because the same people do this work every day.
