Handmade Moissanite Flower Cluster Stud Earrings 14K Gold — GRA Certified Center Stone

José Lux builds these Moissanite flower cluster stud earrings in solid 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — in Yellow Gold. Each earring carries a round Moissanite center stone, GRA Certified, Color D-FL. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones fan out around it in two tiers: pear-shaped petals first, then a ring of small round stones along the edge. You get a pair — two earrings, one for each ear — and each one closes with a screw-back post in 14K gold.

A flower cluster is a different build from a single solitaire stud. The center stone sits in prongs at the middle of the design. The petals lean outward around it like a daisy, and the small round stones fill the gaps and finish the edge. Every stone is set by hand. A cluster this dense takes more bench time than one prong-set stone, because each petal has to line up with its neighbors for the flower to read as one continuous shape. We alloy the gold and set the stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City, and the Flower Cluster is one of the more detailed settings we make.

The Moissanite Center Stone and Swiss CZ Cluster

The center stone on each earring is Moissanite — not a diamond. It’s GRA Certified, Color D-FL (colorless, internally flawless), Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature: strong fire, which shows as rainbow flash under direct light. José Lux won’t call it a diamond, and the GRA report doesn’t either. It’s a Moissanite report.

Moissanite takes the center because it carries the GRA report and the Mohs 9.25 hardness. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) fills the cluster around it. We hand-select the Swiss CZ stones at the bench so the petals match in color and cut. They don’t carry individual certificates — grading every small stone in a cluster isn’t practical at this price point, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. The center stone is the one with the paperwork. José Lux imports Swiss CZ stones in bulk, which is also why resetting one costs you nothing.

Because the sparkle spreads across the whole cluster, the earring catches light across its full width as you move, not only at the center stone.

The 14K Gold and the Screw-Back Post

These earrings are solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold. The post and the screw-back are 14K gold too, so the metal inside your ear is the same karat as the front of the earring. The color is Yellow Gold. It comes from the alloy formula — the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold — not from a coating.

The back turns onto the post and locks the earring in place. Unscrew it and the earring comes apart, so you can take it off and clean the post and the back whenever they need it. Two trade-offs to know about. A screw-back takes a few seconds longer to fasten than a push-back. And 14K gold carries more pure gold than 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — so it reads richer and warmer, while 10K holds up a little better against everyday scratching because it carries more of the harder alloy metals.

How We Make Them

Every pair goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 14K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and color. Each earring is cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting. Then we cut, file, and solder the piece, set the Moissanite center stone and the Swiss CZ cluster by hand, and polish the pair to a mirror finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark. Prices are factory-direct — no wholesale middleman sits between our bench and you.

Fit and Wear

The price is for a pair: two earrings. The pair carries 2.93 grams of 14K gold, not counting the stones. Each earring is a stud, so the cluster sits flat against the lobe and close to the face. Wear them alone as the one bright point in each ear, or add a small huggie in a second piercing for the evening.

The center stones are GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. It’s a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

Care

Wipe the pair with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. To clean the post and the back, unscrew each back, clean both parts, then screw it on again.

We check and adjust every prong on the cluster by hand before the pair ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare.
