Handmade Moissanite Flower Leverback Earrings 10K White Gold — GRA Certified Center Stone

José Lux builds these Moissanite flower leverback earrings in solid 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — in White Gold. Each earring carries a round Moissanite center stone, GRA Certified, Color D-FL. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones — round and marquise-shaped — form a halo around it, and six faceted metal petals frame the whole flower. You get a pair — two earrings, one for each ear — and each one closes with a handmade leverback.

The front of the earring is a flower built in three layers. The Moissanite sits in prongs at the center. Round and marquise-shaped Swiss CZ stones alternate around it, each one hand-set. Six petals of faceted white gold frame the stones and catch light on their own. Every petal has to line up with the stones inside it for the flower to read as one shape, and that’s where most of the bench time goes. We alloy the gold and set the stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City, and this is one of the more detailed designs we make.

The Moissanite Center Stone and Swiss CZ Halo

The center stone on each earring is Moissanite — not a diamond. It’s GRA Certified, Color D-FL (colorless, internally flawless), Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature: strong fire, which shows as rainbow flash under direct light. José Lux won’t call it a diamond, and the GRA report doesn’t either. It’s a Moissanite report.

Moissanite takes the center because it carries the GRA report and the Mohs 9.25 hardness. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) fills the halo around it. We hand-select the Swiss CZ stones at the bench so the round and marquise stones match in color and cut. They don’t carry individual certificates — grading every small stone in a halo isn’t practical at this price point, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. The center stone is the one with the paperwork. José Lux imports Swiss CZ stones in bulk, which is also why resetting one costs you nothing.

The 10K White Gold and the Leverback

These earrings are solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. 10K gold is 41.7% pure gold. It carries less pure gold and more of the harder alloy metals than 14K gold, which is 58.3% pure gold, so 10K holds up a little better against everyday scratching. That’s the trade-off: if you want more pure gold in the piece, 14K is the karat to look at.

The color is White Gold. It comes from the alloy formula — the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold — not from a coating. José Lux’s White Gold alloy contains no nickel. The white tone comes from silver, zinc, or palladium in the mix, which is worth knowing when a piece sits in a pierced ear.

The closure is a leverback, made by hand at the bench. A hinged lever arm wraps behind the lobe and locks shut. Open the lever and the earring comes off, so you can reach the back of the setting and clean it whenever it needs it. A leverback also takes a little more care to close than a push-back: you set the lever, then press it until it locks.

How We Make Them

Every pair goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 10K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and the White Gold color. Each earring is cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting. Then we cut, file, and solder the pieces, including the leverback hinge, set the Moissanite center stone and the Swiss CZ halo by hand, and polish the pair to a mirror finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark. Prices are factory-direct — no wholesale middleman sits between our bench and you.

Fit and Wear

The price is for a pair: two earrings. The pair carries 2.34 grams of 10K gold, not counting the stones. The flower sits at the lobe, close to the face, and the lever locks behind it. Wear them alone as the one bright point in each ear, or add a small huggie in a second piercing for the evening.

Certification

The center stones are GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. It’s a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

Care

Wipe the pair with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. To clean behind the setting, open each lever, wipe the lever and the back with the cloth, then press the lever shut until it locks.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold earring carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. We check and adjust every prong on the halo by hand before the pair ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare. If one does, resetting a Swiss CZ stone or the Moissanite center stone is always free.

What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact or a drop from height. That isn’t treated as a manufacturing defect. José Lux reviews every case individually before deciding next steps.
