José Lux has been setting Moissanite stones for over a decade. Most huggie earrings have stones on the outer face only. This one does not. The Moissanite runs the full surface — outer face, inner face, and across the curved top of the band. When it sits on the ear, stone catches light from every angle. That’s what inside-out means, and that’s what this earring is.

This is sold as one earring. Most men wear a single huggie. The price is for one piece. If you want two, order two.
The Stones — Full Moissanite, Inside-Out, Three Rows
The outer face of this huggie carries three rows of round brilliant Moissanite running the full arc of the band. Not two rows — three. The added row is the reason the band reads as dense stone coverage rather than a pavé line. The setting is micro-pavé: each stone individually hand-set into a seat cut directly into the silver, held by beaded prongs between adjacent stones.

The inner face is also set. One row of Moissanite runs the full circumference of the inner band — the surface that faces the side of your head when the earring is on. Most huggies leave this face plain. On an inside-out design it is set, which means the earring catches light not just when viewed straight on but from behind, from the side, and when the hoop is moving.
Every stone is Moissanite — lab-created silicon carbide. Not diamond. More fire than diamond, which means stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. A three-row outer face plus a set inner face adds up to significant stone coverage. In direct sunlight the earring throws light from every surface simultaneously. In indoor light it reads as a continuous, bright, white hoop.

Moissanite does not degrade optically over time. The stones on this earring look the same in ten years as on day one. That is a material property.
Micro-pavé on an inside-out huggie is more complex than a standard outer-face-only design. The inner face stones have to hold on a concave surface through the flex of a hinged earring. The outer face has to carry three rows cleanly without crowding. Our bench artisans in Vietnam have been doing this specific setting work for years. Each stone is individually seated and checked. The earring is inspected as a whole under magnification before it ships.
The Band and Hinged Clasp
The band is sized to carry three rows of stones on the outer face without crowding and one row on the inner face without the inner edge digging into the earlobe. The width is structural — narrower and the three-row layout becomes cramped; wider and the earring overhangs the lobe. The dimensions are set for this specific stone count.

The hinge is built into the top of the band. It opens with a firm, deliberate action and closes with a click. The two halves of the hoop meet precisely at the base and lock without play. Once closed, the band holds its position against the ear without shifting or rotating.
The clasp pin at the base is hand-finished. You can see it clearly in the images — the release pin sits in a machined slot in the clasp body, pressed inward by hand to open. It does not release accidentally during wear, exercise, or sleep. The pin and clasp housing are 925 sterling silver throughout. No plated brass at the closure point. The metal at every contact surface is the same material as the rest of the earring.
The hinge mechanism is fully openable for cleaning. Open the clasp, remove the earring, clean the inner Moissanite face and the hinge point. Close it. If the hinge develops a fault under normal use, José Lux repairs it free of charge.
The Metal and Plating
The band, hinge, clasp, and inner surface are 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. Every earring receives a rhodium plated white gold finish applied by hand at our workshop in Vietnam. Not machine-dipped. Hand application gives even coverage on both the convex outer face and the concave inner face — the curved geometry that machine dipping handles poorly, especially around the individual bead prongs of a three-row micro-pavé setting.
Rhodium is harder than silver and sits as a barrier between the metal and the air. It keeps the surface bright white and resists tarnish. Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear before any fading is noticeable. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years of daily wear before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline.
Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
Warranty and Repairs
Every stone on this earring — outer face and inner face — is hand-seated and individually inspected before it ships. Stone loss from normal daily huggie wear is extremely rare. That’s by design.
If a stone does come loose under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:
- Moissanite stones: Re-setting labor is always free. If a stone needs replacement, charged at our Hong Kong import cost only — never at retail.
- Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit. No conditions.
- Hinge or clasp repair: If the mechanism fails under normal daily use, we repair it free of charge.
What’s not covered: stones lost or prongs bent from hard physical impact — an earring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects every case individually and tells you honestly what we see. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we can’t control.
Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you’re covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earring in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your earring ships in two layers: the inner box holds the piece securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-set your inside-out Moissanite, plate your silver, and test every clasp release pin have been doing this work for years. Every stone on every face is individually seated. Every clasp is opened and closed under load before the earring ships. Every piece is plated by hand.
An inside-out huggie looks straightforward from the outside. Getting three rows of stones to sit level on the outer arc, a clean row on the concave inner face, the prong spacing consistent across both surfaces, and the hinge functioning correctly after all of that is set — that’s bench work. Precise, repetitive, and checked on every piece. We’ve done enough of these to know exactly where cheaper versions fail: inner-face stones that pop out within weeks, outer rows that crowd at the clasp ends, prong beads that aren’t flush. Ours don’t, because the work is done right from the start.
Your Earring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box, USPS Insured

Your earring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the piece securely in position. The outer box takes the transit damage so the inner box doesn't have to. Before it goes into the box, the earring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer — no movement, no contact, nothing shifts from our workshop to your door.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — we cover it in full. If an incorrect address was entered at checkout, José Lux refunds you completely. You either receive your earring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That is the José Lux standard.
FAQ
This is listed as one earring. Can I order two?
Yes. Add two to your cart. We list it as one piece because that’s how most men wear it — one ear. Forcing a pair purchase when you want a single is a common industry practice. We don’t do it.
What makes this an inside-out huggie?
Standard huggie earrings have stones on the outer face only — the face you see when the earring is viewed from the front. An inside-out huggie sets stones on both faces: outer and inner. This earring has three rows of Moissanite on the outer face and one row on the inner face. The result is that the earring catches light from every direction — not just head-on. When it moves, when it sits in profile, when light comes from behind — there is Moissanite on that surface.
What is Moissanite? Is it a diamond?
No. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide — a different material with its own optical properties. It has more fire than diamond, meaning stronger rainbow dispersion in directional light. It is not a diamond and we won’t tell you it is. On an inside-out huggie with this much stone coverage, the Moissanite reads as a dense, bright, continuous hoop of light. That’s what it is and how it behaves.
Does Moissanite degrade or change over time?
No. Moissanite is silicon carbide — a stable material that does not degrade optically. The stones on this earring look the same in ten years as on day one. This is a material property, not a warranty claim.
How does the clasp open and close?
The hinge is at the top of the band. The clasp closes at the base — a release pin fits into a machined slot in the clasp body. To open, press the pin inward with deliberate pressure and the hoop releases. To close, press the two halves together until you feel the click. It does not open accidentally. The pin and housing are hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop. Every clasp is tested before the earring ships.
Can I clean the inner face properly?
Yes. Open the clasp and remove the earring completely. Use a soft brush with mild soapy water and work it along the inner face, clearing between the stone seats. Rinse thoroughly. Dry fully before wearing. The inner Moissanite row is accessible because the clasp opens fully — you can reach every surface. A polishing cloth ships with every order for routine surface care.
How does the micro-pavé hold on the inner face?
The inner face stones sit on a concave surface. Each stone is individually hand-set into a seat cut directly into the silver, held by beaded prongs between adjacent stones — the same method as the outer face. The challenge on the inner face is that the concave geometry puts different pressure on the prong walls during setting. Our bench artisans at the Vietnam workshop account for that in the setting process. Each inner-face stone is individually checked under magnification. Stone loss from normal daily huggie wear is extremely rare.
How long does the rhodium plating last?
Conservative baseline: three years of regular daily wear. Many José Lux customers re-plate at five years. Some have recorded eight years before the first re-plate. Skin chemistry, wear frequency, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at our workshop — no time limit, no conditions. Whenever it’s needed, we handle it.
What does the warranty cover?
Moissanite re-setting labor is always free — both outer and inner face stones. If a stone needs replacement, we charge at our Hong Kong import cost only, never retail. Rhodium re-plating is always free. Hinge and clasp repair under normal use is free. What’s not covered: visible deformation from a drop or hard impact. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — we state that honestly. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
