Handmade Moissanite Love Knot Stud Earrings 10K White Gold — GRA Certified Center Stone

José Lux builds these Moissanite love knot stud earrings in solid 10K gold — 41.7% pure gold — in White Gold. Each earring carries a round Moissanite center stone, GRA Certified, Color D-FL, held in four prongs. Ribbons of White Gold cross over one another around it to form the knot, and small Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) stones are pavé-set along the ribbons. You get a pair — two earrings, one for each ear — and each one closes with a screw-back post in 10K gold.

A knot is a different build from a plain halo. The ribbons have to cross at the right angles, and the polished ribbons and the stone-set ribbons have to meet without a gap. The small stones are set by hand, one at a time, directly into the metal. A pavé setting leaves almost no room for error, because one stone out of line shows along the whole ribbon. We alloy the gold and set the stones at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City, and the knot is one of the more detailed studs we make.

The Moissanite Center Stone and Swiss CZ Pavé Knot

The center stone on each earring is Moissanite — not a diamond. It’s GRA Certified, Color D-FL (colorless, internally flawless), Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature: strong fire, which shows as rainbow flash under direct light. José Lux won’t call it a diamond, and the GRA report doesn’t either. It’s a Moissanite report.

Moissanite takes the center because it carries the GRA report and the Mohs 9.25 hardness. Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) fills the pavé ribbons around it. We hand-select the Swiss CZ stones at the bench so they match in color and cut. They don’t carry individual certificates — grading every small stone in a pavé setting isn’t practical at this price point, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. The center stone is the one with the paperwork. José Lux imports Swiss CZ stones in bulk, which is also why resetting one costs you nothing.

The earring gives you two kinds of light: the center stone throws flash, and the polished ribbons reflect it. The pavé stones catch light between the two.

The 10K White Gold and the Screw-Back Post

These earrings are solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. 10K gold is 41.7% pure gold. The post and the screw-back are 10K gold too, so the metal inside your ear is the same karat as the front of the earring. The color is White Gold. It comes from the alloy formula — the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold — not from a coating.

José Lux’s White Gold alloy contains no nickel. The white tone comes from silver, zinc, or palladium in the mix, which is worth knowing when a piece sits in a pierced ear.

The back turns onto the post and locks the earring in place. Unscrew it and the earring comes apart, so you can take it off and clean the post and the back whenever they need it. Two trade-offs to know about. 10K gold carries less pure gold than 14K gold — 58.3% pure gold — but it holds up better against everyday scratching because it carries more of the harder alloy metals. And a screw-back takes a few seconds longer to fasten than a push-back.

How We Make Them

Every pair goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 10K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and the White Gold color. Each earring is cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting. Then we cut, file, and solder the pieces, set the Moissanite center stone and the Swiss CZ pavé by hand, and polish the pair to a mirror finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark. Prices are factory-direct — no wholesale middleman sits between our bench and you.

Fit and Wear

The price is for a pair: two earrings. The pair carries 3.14 grams of 10K gold, not counting the stones. Each earring is a stud, so the knot sits flat against the lobe and close to the face. The center stone is large for a stud, so the pair reads as one bright point in each ear. Wear them alone for the day, or add a small huggie in a second piercing for the evening.

Certification

The center stones are GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, with a laser-inscribed ID. It’s a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.

Care

Wipe the pair with the jewelry cleaning cloth in the box. To clean the post and the back, unscrew each back, clean both parts, then screw it on again.

Warranty and Repairs

Every José Lux gold earring carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. We check and adjust every prong by hand before the pair ships, which is why a stone coming loose under normal daily wear is rare. If one does, resetting a Swiss CZ stone or the Moissanite center stone is always free.

What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact or a drop from height. That isn’t treated as a manufacturing defect. José Lux reviews every case individually before deciding next steps.
