José Lux builds the Moissanite Open Swirl Ring in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold), in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. Every stone on this ring is Moissanite, GRA Certified — there’s no Swiss CZ anywhere on the ring. The band doesn’t close into a full circle. Instead, it curls into three thin wire tendrils, each one ending in a single round Moissanite stone, bezel-set at the tip. It’s a lighter, more minimal take on our Swirl Ring, which sets small stone clusters at the mouth of three thicker open loops — here, each curl carries just one stone, and the wirework stays thin from end to end.

Bezel-setting a stone at the very tip of a curled wire, with no extra metal bracing it from the sides, takes precise control at the bench — the bezel wall has to sit flush and even around the stone’s edge without adding bulk to a design built around staying thin. The open back is deliberate: instead of closing into a circle, the band ends in two of the three curls, leaving a gap rather than a seam. We’ve been alloying gold and setting Moissanite at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years. Thin wirework shows every inconsistency, so getting three curls to match in weight and curve takes more filing than a heavier band would.
The Moissanite Setting — Three Bezel-Set Stones
The largest of the three stones is GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, colorless and internally flawless, Mohs 9.25. It ships with its own GRA report, carrying a unique laser-inscribed ID traceable to that specific stone. Moissanite isn’t a diamond, and José Lux won’t tell you it is. It’s lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature — more fire than diamond, which means more rainbow flash under direct light.

The remaining two stones are the same material, cut and matched to the certified stone for color and brilliance. José Lux hand-selects each one at the bench so all three read as one set, not mismatched sizes. What they don’t carry is an individual GRA report — grading three separate bezel-set stones on a ring this size isn’t practical at this price point, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. One stone carries the paperwork. All three are the same certified-grade Moissanite, hand-set, without individual certificates.

Because each stone sits in its own bezel at the end of a separate curl, the sparkle reads as three distinct points of light rather than one fixed cluster — the design has no single center to draw the eye first.
The Gold and Karat Options
The band is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. José Lux offers the Open Swirl Ring in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold). 10K carries less pure gold and more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better — worth knowing on thin wirework like this, where there’s less metal overall than on a solid band. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads deeper and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Neither is the “better” metal — they’re two different tradeoffs, and José Lux sells both instead of steering you toward one.

Every karat comes in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. The color isn’t a coating — it comes from the alloy formula, the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold during alloying. José Lux’s White Gold is nickel-free; the white tone comes from silver, zinc, or palladium in the mix, not nickel, which matters if you’re sensitive to it.

Every ring goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 10K or 14K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and color ordered. The curls are cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting, then hand-set with each bezel stone, and polished to finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

Certification
The featured stone ships with a full GRA gemological report — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, and a unique report number traceable to that stone. It’s a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.
Warranty and Repairs
Every José Lux gold ring carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. Every bezel is checked and adjusted by hand before the ring ships, which is why a stone coming loose from normal daily wear is rare.
If a Moissanite stone does come loose under everyday use — no drops, no impact — José Lux resets it for free, any of the three. What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact, a drop, or a strike against a hard surface. That’s not treated as a manufacturing defect. Because the band doesn’t close into a full circle, it carries less structural support at the open ends than a closed band would, and thin wirework in general bends more easily under pressure than a thicker profile — worth knowing if you wear rings while working with your hands. José Lux reviews every case individually before deciding next steps, and if a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it at cost, with a quote before anything is done.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to the United States. Delivery takes 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value — including cases where an incorrect address was provided at checkout. If something goes wrong in transit, you’re covered in full.
Your ring travels inside a shock-absorbing layer, packed in its own jewelry box, then inside a protective outer box. Every order includes a cleaning cloth and a José Lux warranty card. The same team that set your bezel stones is the one that packs and ships your order.
Our Workshop
José Lux works out of Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. The same team that alloys the gold shapes the three curls and sets each bezel by hand — nothing about this ring passes through a third-party factory. Thin, open wirework leaves no room to hide an uneven curl or an off-center bezel — there’s no extra metal to file back into shape after the fact. We’ve done it enough times to know where it goes wrong, and where it holds.

FAQ
Is every stone on this ring Moissanite, or is some of it CZ?
Every stone on the Moissanite Open Swirl Ring is Moissanite — all three bezel-set stones. That’s different from José Lux’s channel and pavé settings on other lines, which pair a Moissanite center with Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) accents. Here, there’s no CZ anywhere on the ring. The largest stone carries its own GRA certificate; the other two are the same material, hand-matched, without individual reports.
Does this ring close into a full circle?
No. The Open Swirl Ring is built with an open back — the band curls into three tendrils at the front instead of forming a closed loop all the way around. That open construction is part of the design, not a manufacturing gap. José Lux still makes this ring to your finger size using our own size chart, the same as every other ring in the catalog.
What’s the difference between 10K and 14K gold?
10K gold is 41.7% pure gold; 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold. 10K carries more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads richer and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Both are solid gold — José Lux never sells gold-filled or gold-plated pieces.
Is this ring solid gold, or is it plated?
Solid gold, in both karats. José Lux doesn’t sell gold-filled, gold vermeil, or gold-plated pieces on this line. The color — Yellow, White, or Rose — comes from what’s alloyed into the gold, not a surface coating.
How is the Open Swirl Ring set?
The band curls into three thin wire tendrils instead of closing into a circle. Each tendril ends in a bezel setting — a rim of metal wrapped fully around a single round Moissanite stone. There’s no cluster and no pavé here; each of the three stones stands on its own, set into the tip of its own curl.
What does the warranty cover?
A lifetime warranty with free repairs. If a Moissanite stone — any of the three — comes loose from normal daily wear, José Lux resets it at no charge. Damage from a drop or a hard impact isn’t covered as a manufacturing defect, and the open-back band and thin wirework carry less metal than a closed, solid band, so it’s worth being mindful if you wear rings while working with your hands. José Lux reviews those cases individually and quotes any repair before starting it.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States, 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value, including cases where the shipping address was entered incorrectly at checkout.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam — alloying, casting, stone-setting, and polishing all happen at the same bench.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs
1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?
Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.
2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?
The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.
Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.
3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?
Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.
4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?
Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.
5. How long does it take to receive my order?
Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.
Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.
Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.
We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
