José Lux builds the Moissanite Starburst Cluster Ring in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold), in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. The gold weight is 1.07 g in 10K gold and 1.20 g in 14K gold. Every stone on this ring is Moissanite, GRA Certified at the center — there’s no Swiss CZ anywhere on the ring. Three sprays of round Moissanite stones fan out from a single point at the band: one spike reaches straight up, and two more flare down and out to either side, each ending in its own small cluster. A few more stones sit where all three sprays meet. It’s a different structure from our flower and lotus cluster rings, which build one dense, rounded shape — the Starburst is open and directional, more spray than bloom.

The stems connecting each cluster to the band carry no stones — they’re thin, polished gold, shaped to fan out at the right angles without crowding each other or the band underneath. Getting three sprays to sit balanced, with none of them reading heavier than the others, takes more layout work at the bench than a single centered cluster would. We’ve been alloying gold and setting Moissanite at the same bench in Hồ Chí Minh City for years. The Starburst is an open setting — there’s more bare metal between the stones than on our denser clusters, so every stem has to be cut clean.
The Moissanite Clusters — Three Sprays, One Setting
The center stone — set where all three sprays converge — is GRA Certified Moissanite — Color D-FL, colorless and internally flawless, Mohs 9.25. It ships with its own GRA report, carrying a unique laser-inscribed ID traceable to that specific stone. Moissanite isn’t a diamond, and José Lux won’t tell you it is. It’s lab-created silicon carbide with its own optical signature — more fire than diamond, which means more rainbow flash under direct light.

The stones filling the three sprays are the same material, cut and matched to the center stone for color and brilliance. José Lux hand-selects every stone at the bench so all three clusters read as one family, not three mismatched sprays. What they don’t carry is an individual GRA report — grading each melee-sized stone across three separate clusters isn’t practical at this price point, and we’d rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. The center stone is the one with the paperwork. Every other stone in the starburst is the same certified-grade Moissanite, hand-set, without individual certificates.

Because the clusters sit apart, connected by bare stems instead of packed edge to edge, light moves through the open spaces between them — the sparkle reads as a burst in motion, not a single fixed shape.
The Gold and Karat Options
The band is solid gold — never gold-filled, never gold-plated. José Lux offers the Starburst Cluster Ring in 10K gold (41.7% pure gold) and 14K gold (58.3% pure gold). 10K carries less pure gold and more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads deeper and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Neither is the “better” metal — they’re two different tradeoffs, and José Lux sells both instead of steering you toward one.

Every karat comes in Yellow, White, or Rose Gold. The color isn’t a coating — it comes from the alloy formula, the ratio of copper, silver, zinc, or palladium mixed into the gold during alloying. José Lux’s White Gold is nickel-free; the white tone comes from silver, zinc, or palladium in the mix, not nickel, which matters if you’re sensitive to it.

Every ring goes through four stages at the José Lux workshop before it ships. We alloy 24K gold down to 10K or 14K by hand, in the exact ratio for the karat and color ordered. The band and the three sprays are cast from a 3D CAD design using lost-wax casting, then hand-set with the Moissanite clusters stone by stone, and polished to finish. Before it leaves Hồ Chí Minh City, we test the karat with an XRF machine, check for nickel, and stamp the legal karat hallmark.

Certification
The center stone ships with a full GRA gemological report — Color D-FL, Mohs 9.25, and a unique report number traceable to that stone. It’s a Moissanite report, not a diamond grading report, and José Lux states that plainly rather than let the paperwork imply something it isn’t.
Warranty and Repairs
Every José Lux gold ring carries a lifetime warranty. Repairs are free — for life, no expiration date. Every prong across all three sprays is checked and adjusted by hand before the ring ships, which is why a stone coming loose from normal daily wear is rare.
If a Moissanite stone does come loose under everyday use — no drops, no impact — José Lux resets it for free, in any of the three clusters. What’s not covered: stone loss from a hard impact, a drop, or a strike against a hard surface. That’s not treated as a manufacturing defect. The open stems between the clusters carry less metal than a solid band, so this setting is more exposed to a hard knock than our denser clusters — worth knowing if you wear rings while working with your hands. José Lux reviews every case individually before deciding next steps, and if a repair falls outside the warranty, we’ll still fix it at cost, with a quote before anything is done.
Shipping
Ships free via USPS to the United States. Delivery takes 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value — including cases where an incorrect address was provided at checkout. If something goes wrong in transit, you’re covered in full.
Your ring travels inside a shock-absorbing layer, packed in its own jewelry box, then inside a protective outer box. Every order includes a cleaning cloth and a José Lux warranty card. The same team that set your starburst clusters is the one that packs and ships your order.
Our Workshop
José Lux works out of Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. The same team that alloys the gold sets each spray and shapes the connecting stems by hand — nothing about this ring passes through a third-party factory. Three open sprays are harder to balance than one dense cluster: each one has to carry its own weight visually without overpowering the other two, and the stems have to stay thin without going fragile. We’ve done it enough times to know where it goes wrong, and where it holds.

FAQ
Is every stone on this ring Moissanite, or is some of it CZ?
Every stone on the Moissanite Starburst Cluster Ring is Moissanite — all three sprays. That’s different from José Lux’s channel and pavé settings on other lines, which pair a Moissanite center with Swiss CZ (Cubic Zirconia) accents. Here, there’s no CZ anywhere on the ring — and the bare gold stems connecting the clusters carry no stones at all, CZ or Moissanite. The center stone carries its own GRA certificate; the remaining stones are the same material, hand-matched, without individual reports.
What’s the difference between 10K and 14K gold?
10K gold is 41.7% pure gold; 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold. 10K carries more of the harder alloy metals, so it resists everyday scratching a little better. 14K carries more pure gold, which reads richer and warmer, especially in Yellow Gold. Both are solid gold — José Lux never sells gold-filled or gold-plated pieces.
Is this ring solid gold, or is it plated?
Solid gold, in both karats. José Lux doesn’t sell gold-filled, gold vermeil, or gold-plated pieces on this line. The color — Yellow, White, or Rose — comes from what’s alloyed into the gold, not a surface coating.
How is the Starburst Cluster set?
Three sprays of round Moissanite stones fan out from a single point at the band — one spike straight up, two more flaring down and out to each side. Bare polished gold stems connect each cluster back to that center point, with a few more stones set where all three sprays meet. The open stems carry no stones themselves; all the sparkle sits in the clusters at the tips.
What does the warranty cover?
A lifetime warranty with free repairs. If a Moissanite stone in any of the three sprays comes loose from normal daily wear, José Lux resets it at no charge. Damage from a drop or a hard impact isn’t covered as a manufacturing defect, and the open stems between clusters carry less metal than a solid band, so it’s worth being mindful of knocks if you wear rings while working with your hands. José Lux reviews those cases individually and quotes any repair before starting it.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States, 5–7 business days. Every order is 100% insured on its declared value, including cases where the shipping address was entered incorrectly at checkout.
Where is this ring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam — alloying, casting, stone-setting, and polishing all happen at the same bench.

José Lux Buying Guide 5 FAQs
1. Is it safe to order online at José Lux?
Yes. Our store runs on Shopify, one of the world's most trusted ecommerce platforms. Shopify protects your personal information and your payment with SSL encryption and a secure checkout, so your details stay private and your payment is safe.
2. Do Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Come with GRA Certification?
The main Moissanite stone in each José Lux piece ships with its own GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate. The report records the stone's color, clarity, cut, and size, and carries a unique report number traceable to that specific stone. Smaller Moissanite accent stones are the same material, hand-matched to the main stone, but they are not certified individually.
Swiss CZ pieces don't come with a GRA certificate. Instead, our CZ is imported with Swiss lot records, so every batch is documented.
3. Is José Lux Jewelry Quality and Accurately Described?
Every José Lux piece is handcrafted to order at our own workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, in 925 sterling silver or solid 10K and 14K gold. Before it ships, we check every prong and stone setting by hand, and each gold piece is tested for karat and stamped with its hallmark. Each listing states the metal, karat, and stones, and your piece is made to match. Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen. If what arrives isn't what you ordered, we'll give you a full refund.
4. Is José Lux Jewelry Shipping Safe?
Yes. Your piece is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer, set inside a jewelry box, and packed in an outer protective box, so it doesn't shift or get scratched in transit. Every shipment is covered by 100% USPS jewelry insurance. If your order is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we cover it. We email your tracking number the day your order ships, so you can follow it all the way to your door.
5. How long does it take to receive my order?
Every piece is made to order, so your total time is production plus shipping, counted in business days.
Silver jewelry: Production takes 3–4 business days. Shipping via USPS takes 7–14 business days to the US, 10–15 to Europe, 7–12 to Asia, and 10–20 to other countries. From order to your door, that's about 10–18 business days to the US, 13–19 to Europe, 10–16 to Asia, and 13–24 to other countries.
Gold jewelry (10K and 14K): Gold ships to the United States only. Production takes 6–8 business days and shipping takes 5–7, so about 11–15 business days from order to your door.
We email your tracking number the day your order ships. Customs processing can add time on international orders.
