The butterfly closure is hand-finished at our Vietnam workshop. The two wings of the butterfly are individually formed and tensioned by hand to grip the post thread at the correct resistance — firm enough to stay in place during movement, exercise, or sleep, but releasing cleanly when you deliberately pull the backing away from the post. The threading on the post is machined to last through repeated daily removal and reattachment without degrading.

The closure is fully removable. Take it off completely whenever you need to clean the post or the rear face of the disc. The butterfly wings handle full daily disassembly without wearing out.
