José Lux has been working silver for over a decade. This turquoise dangle huggie is one of the most material-driven pieces we make — a polished 925 sterling silver huggie hoop with an engraved fleur-de-lis detail at the clasp, suspending a three-part dangle: a hand-cast silver fleur-de-lis connector, a raw natural turquoise stone, and a hand-cast silver fleur-de-lis finial below. Every component is sourced, cast, and assembled by hand at our Vietnam workshop.

This is sold as one earring. The price is for one piece.
The Hoop — Polished 925 Silver, Engraved Clasp Detail
The huggie hoop is solid 925 sterling silver with a high-polish finish. The band is smooth and round — designed to sit close against the earlobe with no bulk. The clasp area carries a hand-engraved fleur-de-lis motif on both sides where the hinge meets the clasp, giving the hoop its own visual detail even before the dangle is considered.

The inner surface is smooth polished silver. No rough edges or engraving on the inside face. It sits flat against the earlobe without catching or irritating the skin.
The hoop closes with an integrated hinge at the top and a click-lock clasp at the base. The clasp snaps shut with a firm, audible click. It does not open accidentally during wear, exercise, or sleep. The hinge mechanism is handmade and built to be operated daily for years without failure.
The Dangle — Three Components, One Unified Design
The dangle suspends from the base of the hoop through a solid sterling silver link. It is built in three parts, each connected by a solid jump ring: a hand-cast fleur-de-lis connector at the top, the raw turquoise stone at the center, and a hand-cast fleur-de-lis finial at the base.
The two silver components — the connector and the finial — are mirror-image fleur-de-lis forms in oxidized sterling silver. The contrast between the oxidized dark silver of the dangle and the polished bright silver of the hoop is intentional. The hoop is clean and minimal. The dangle is detailed and dark. The two parts read differently and work together because of that difference, not despite it.
The dangle hangs freely and moves with the wearer. The total drop length from the bottom of the hoop to the tip of the finial sits below the earlobe — present enough to be seen in motion, proportioned to wear comfortably throughout the day.
All jump rings in the dangle are solid sterling silver. They are load-tested before every earring ships. The assembly does not come apart under normal daily wear.
The Turquoise — Raw Natural Stone, Each One Unique
The stone is raw natural turquoise — uncut, unpolished, in its natural form. The color runs from deep teal to blue-green, with the natural matrix lines and surface texture that only genuine turquoise carries. No two stones are the same. The shape, the color saturation, the surface markings — all vary from piece to piece. What you receive is the specific stone in the earring that ships to you.

Natural turquoise has been used in jewelry for thousands of years across cultures — Native American, Persian, Egyptian, Tibetan. The stone carries a visual weight that synthetic alternatives cannot replicate. The roughness of the raw form is the point. It is not a flaw. A tumbled, polished, or treated turquoise bead would look like a product. A raw stone looks like something found.
Turquoise is a relatively soft stone — it should not be submerged in harsh chemicals or subjected to hard impact. Normal daily wear is fine. Clean the stone gently with a soft damp cloth if needed. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners.
The Silver Charm Components — Hand-Cast, Oxidized
The two fleur-de-lis components — the connector above the stone and the finial below — are hand-cast in 925 sterling silver at our Vietnam workshop. After casting, each component is individually hand-finished: casting marks removed, edges cleaned, surface prepared for oxidation.
Both components are oxidized by hand. The oxidation converts the surface silver into silver sulfide — which appears black — then the raised surfaces are polished back to bright metal. The result is a dark, high-contrast finish on the cast detail that stands apart from the polished bright hoop above it. The two finishes — polished hoop, oxidized charms — are a deliberate design choice. The contrast is the design.
The oxidized finish on the silver charm components is permanent. The silver sulfide conversion goes into the metal — it does not sit on top waiting to wear off. It does not peel. It does not rub off. The dark finish on these components on day one is the same finish you will see in ten years. No re-treatment. No restoration. No maintenance required.
The Clasp — Handmade, Solid, Fully Openable
The huggie closes with an integrated hinged clasp at the base of the hoop. The clasp snaps shut with a firm, audible click and does not release without deliberate pressure on both sides. It does not open accidentally during wear, exercise, or sleep.

The clasp is designed to be opened fully. This matters for cleaning. Unclip the earring, open the hoop, clean the inner surface and the hinge point, close and reclip. Nothing is sealed or inaccessible. The mechanism is built to be operated daily for years without failure.
The clasp components are 925 sterling silver throughout. No coated brass. No plated alloy at the contact points. The metal touching your ear is the same material as the rest of the hoop.
If the hinge or clasp mechanism fails under normal daily use, José Lux repairs it free of charge.
The Metal — 925 Sterling Silver
The hoop, clasp, hinge, charm components, and all jump rings are 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. The hoop carries a high-polish finish. The cast charm components are oxidized. The jump rings are left bright to match the hoop.
Every component is assembled by hand at our Vietnam workshop. The artisans who cast the fleur-de-lis components, set the turquoise, and test every clasp have been doing this work for years. The assembly is inspected before every earring ships.
Warranty and Repairs
Every clasp is tested before this earring ships. Every jump ring in the dangle is load-tested. Every stone is inspected for secure setting and correct position before the piece is boxed.
If the hinge or clasp mechanism fails under normal daily use — no drops, no hard impacts — José Lux repairs it free of charge.
The oxidized finish on the silver charm components requires no re-treatment. It is permanent by the nature of the process.
Turquoise is a natural stone. Variation in color, surface texture, and matrix pattern is inherent to the material — these are not defects. Stone loss from a hard impact is not covered. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we quote the cost clearly before any work is done.
Shipping
Free via USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated delivery 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we cannot control.
Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — you're covered in full. Even if an incorrect address was entered at checkout, a full refund is issued. You either receive your earring in perfect condition or you get your money back.
Your earring ships in two layers: the inner box holds the piece securely with anti-shock protection; the outer box protects everything in transit.

Our Workshop

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-cast the fleur-de-lis charm components, apply the oxidation, source and set the natural turquoise, and test every clasp have been doing this work for years. Every silver component is cast and finished by hand. Every stone is individually selected. Every hinge is opened and closed under load before the earring ships.
A turquoise dangle huggie looks like a straightforward piece. Sourcing raw natural turquoise at a consistent color and form standard, casting the fleur-de-lis components so the oxidation reads cleanly, assembling the dangle so every jump ring is load-bearing and the proportions hold — none of that happens by machine. It is bench work and material knowledge. We have been doing it long enough to know exactly where cheaper versions of this design fail: synthetic stone substitutes, thin cast components, weak jump rings, imprecise clasp mechanisms. Ours don't have those problems, because the work is done right from the start.
Your Earring Arrives Protected — Two-Layer Box, USPS Insured

Your earring ships in two layers of packaging. The inner jewelry box holds the piece securely in position. The outer box takes the transit damage so the inner box doesn't have to. Before it goes into the box, the earring itself is wrapped in a shock-absorbing layer — no movement, no contact, nothing shifts from our workshop to your door.
Shipping is via USPS with 100% insurance on every order. If something goes wrong in transit — lost, delayed, or damaged — we cover it in full. If an incorrect address was entered at checkout, José Lux refunds you completely. You either receive your earring in perfect condition, or you get your money back. That is the José Lux standard.
FAQ
What is the turquoise stone like?
Raw natural turquoise — uncut and unpolished. The color runs from deep teal to blue-green depending on the individual stone. Each stone carries its own surface texture, shape, and natural matrix markings. No two are identical. The raw form is intentional: it is not a processed bead or synthetic imitation. It is a piece of actual turquoise in the state it came from the ground, selected for color and form, and set into the earring as-is.
Will my stone look exactly like the one in the product images?
Close, but not identical. Natural turquoise varies — color depth, surface marking, and shape differ from stone to stone. The images show a representative example of the quality and color range we select. Your stone will be in the same range. If you have a specific color preference, contact us before ordering.
How do I care for the turquoise?
Gently. Turquoise is a relatively soft natural stone. Normal daily wear is fine. Clean the stone with a soft damp cloth if needed. Do not soak it in water. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, and ultrasonic cleaners — these damage the surface. The silver components clean normally with the care cloth included in your order.
What is the oxidized finish on the silver charm components?
The fleur-de-lis connector and finial are oxidized by hand — a controlled chemical process that converts the surface silver into silver sulfide, which appears black. The raised surfaces are then polished back to bright metal, creating the dark and bright contrast you see on the charm components. This finish is permanent. It does not peel, reverse, or wear off. No re-treatment required, ever.
Why is the hoop bright silver but the charm components are dark?
That is a deliberate design decision. The bright polished hoop is minimal and clean — it sits against the ear without visual weight. The oxidized charm components are detailed and dark — they carry the visual interest in the dangle. The contrast between the two finishes is what gives the earring its range. A uniform finish across both would flatten it.
How does the huggie clasp open and close?
The hinge sits at the top of the hoop. The clasp snaps shut at the base with a firm click. To open, apply deliberate pressure to both sides of the clasp simultaneously — it releases cleanly. To close, press the two halves together until you feel and hear the click. It does not open accidentally. The mechanism is tested before every earring ships.
Can I clean this earring properly?
Yes. Open the clasp, remove the earring from your ear, and clean the hoop and silver components. The huggie is fully openable — nothing is sealed. Clean the silver with a soft brush and mild soapy water, rinse, dry fully. Clean the turquoise stone with a soft damp cloth only — no soaking, no chemicals. Avoid alcohol, bleach, or ultrasonic cleaners on the stone. The care cloth included with your order keeps the bright silver surfaces clean.
What does the warranty cover?
Hinge and clasp repair under normal daily use is always free. Jump ring integrity under normal wear is covered. What is not covered: stone loss from a drop or hard impact, visible deformation of the silver components from impact. Turquoise color variation and surface texture are natural material properties, not defects. José Lux inspects every case individually. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we give you a clear quote before any work is done.
How does shipping work?
Free USPS to the United States and Europe. Tracking sent the day your order ships. Estimated 7–14 business days. European orders can see customs delays — José Lux states that honestly rather than promise a window we cannot control. Every shipment is 100% insured. If something goes wrong in transit for any reason, including an incorrect delivery address, a full refund is issued.
Where is this earring made?
Handmade at the José Lux workshop in Vietnam. The artisans who hand-cast the fleur-de-lis components, apply the oxidation, set the turquoise, and test every clasp have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. Every component is made and assembled by hand. Every clasp is tested before shipment. This is José Lux's own workshop, not a third-party factory. The origin is not a footnote — it is why the craft holds.
