José Lux has been building channel-set bands for over a decade, and this is one of the widest we make. There's no elevated solitaire on this design — the whole ring sits flush, one continuous wide band with three rows running the full width. The center row is the load-bearing one: eight princess-cut Moissanite stones, 0.5ct each, channel-set edge to edge with no gaps and no exposed prongs. That's 4.0ct of GRA-certified Moissanite in a single unbroken line around the front of the finger. Above and below that center row, two rows of round micro-pavé Swiss CZ frame the Moissanite — the border the design is built around. Three rows, one band, all hand-set at our Vietnam workshop.

This is a different kind of channel work than a single-stone ring. Eight princess-cut stones in a row means eight sets of channel walls that all have to be cut to the same depth, or the line looks uneven the moment it catches light. We've set enough of these to know where the cheap versions fail: undersized channels, stones that sit slightly proud or slightly sunk next to their neighbors. Ours don't, because every wall on this band is cut and checked by hand before a stone goes in.

The Moissanite Channel Row — 8 Stones, 4.0ct Total

The center row is where the ring's weight and sparkle come from. Eight Moissanite stones, princess cut, 0.5ct each, set together in a single channel that runs across the widest part of the band. Each stone is cut from GRA-certified Moissanite — Color D, Clarity FL. Colorless, internally flawless. GRA certification documentation ships with every ring.

Moissanite is lab-created silicon carbide, not a diamond, and José Lux won't tell you otherwise. What it does have is more fire than diamond — more rainbow flashes when the stones catch direct light. With eight stones set edge to edge instead of one, that fire runs the full length of the row instead of concentrating in a single point. It's a different kind of sparkle than a solitaire ring gives you — wider, more continuous, more presence across the whole hand.

The Swiss CZ Border

Above and below the Moissanite row sit two rows of round micro-pavé Swiss CZ — cubic zirconia, hand-set stone by stone at our workshop. These rows aren't filler. They're the border the design is named for: they frame the princess-cut Moissanite row, extend the sparkle to the full width of the band, and give the ring its layered, dimensional look instead of a flat single line of stone. The Moissanite is the certified center row. The Swiss CZ is the structural border around it, and José Lux keeps that distinction clear on every page — you should know exactly which stone is which before you buy.

The Metal and Plating

The band is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper for structural rigidity. A wide channel band like this one carries real lateral stress across three full rows of stone. We use a properly gauged blank, thicker than what shows up in pressed-out versions of this style, because a thin band flexes under a channel this wide — and a flexing channel is how stones work loose.

Each ring gets a rhodium plated white gold finish, applied by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Not machine-dipped. On a wide band with this many transition points — channel rail to pavé row, pavé row to channel rail — hand-plating gets more even coverage into the detail work than a dip tank does.

Conservative baseline for the finish: three years of regular daily wear before any fading shows. In practice, many José Lux customers report five years before they need a re-plate, and our longest recorded case is eight years. Skin chemistry, how often the ring comes off, and chemical exposure all affect the timeline. Re-plating is always free at the José Lux workshop — no time limit, no conditions.

Certification

Each of the eight center stones is cut from GRA-certified Moissanite, Color D, Clarity FL — colorless and internally flawless. GRA certification documentation for the Moissanite is included with every order, confirming grade and cut. This is the same certificate format used in professional gemological documentation.

Warranty and Repairs

Every channel wall and every pavé setting on a José Lux ring is adjusted by hand at our Vietnam workshop. Stone loss from normal daily wear is extremely rare — that's by design, not luck.

If a stone comes loose or falls out under everyday use — no drops, no hard impacts, just daily wear — José Lux handles it:

• Swiss CZ border stones: Re-setting or replacing accent stones is always free. José Lux imports Swiss CZ in volume directly from our suppliers, and we absorb the cost entirely.
• Moissanite channel stones: If a center stone needs replacement, José Lux charges at our import cost from our Hong Kong supplier — never at retail. Re-setting labor is always free.
• Rhodium re-plating: Always free at the José Lux workshop. No time limit, no conditions.

What's not covered: stones lost due to hard physical impact — a ring dropped from height, struck against a hard surface, or showing visible deformation of the band or channel consistent with a fall. José Lux inspects each case individually and tells you honestly what we're looking at. If a repair falls outside the warranty, we'll still fix it — at cost, with a clear quote before anything is done.

Our workshop is in Vietnam. The artisans who cut your channel walls and hand-plate your band have been doing this work for years — longer than most jewelry brands have been selling online. The tradeoff: the channel walls have to be cut to exact, consistent depth across all eight stones, or the row reads uneven. José Lux uses properly gauged 925 sterling silver and cuts every channel by hand. The line holds straight.

How does the ring look in person?

Wide and continuous. There's no raised center stone drawing the eye to one point — the sparkle runs the full front width of the band, from the princess-cut Moissanite row out through the CZ border on both sides. In direct light, the Moissanite throws noticeably more fire than the CZ around it, so the center row reads brighter even at a glance. It's a bold, statement-width design. If you want something narrow and understated, this isn't it.

How long does the plating last?
